The Evinrude G2 is a awesome engine but if the MSRP holds true for real world pricing I am afraid I will be sticking with the G1 if they still produce them. My AA model 150 is a awesome motor that was $9,800 new
scotty davis unfortunately for the CITIZENS OF THE Good Ole USA, OMC/ evinrude sells a motor that should cost half as much and throws so much PR and bribe/kickback money around, that these engines have an added 3 to 4 grand of US dollars added without any value added, just lots of excessive spending on advertising which does not add value to the product at all, except minimally at resale, you won't recoup that 3 to 4 grand at selling time, that's for sure... time for a rethink? youbetcha
@@speckspeck agreed, however the 4 strokes, which have made some improvement still can't hang with the 2 stroke etechs. The HO models specifically, used the trick Mercury used during the 70's and 80's, they underrated their motors, those towers were incredible motors that screamed like Mercs racing motors. I've had several of them but a friend and I had the same basic boat, mine was a 19' Sportcraft Caprice cuddy cabin with the 90hp Tower of Power while my friend had the 90hp evinrude v-4. The difference in top speed was only a couple of mph, but the torque of the Merc destroyed the evinrude from a stand still. I'm not saying the evinrude was a bad motor, on my 17' cobia closed bow runabout I had a 115hp evinrude v-4 and that thing pushed up to 47+mph. But I still know theres a lot more torque with those old Merc towers.
Evinrude’s are probably the most advanced outboards. Yami’s are great but still using old fashioned 4 stroke technology. I don’t care for the star wars appearance much.
JUNK! Wish I had never seen this P.O.S. engine. Strapped to the back of my new boat and it has been back to the dealer 3 times in the 1st month. Needs to go back again except they don't know how to fix it. Gawd I wish I would have bought a different brand. HELP!
Times have changed since I had my twin 4 liter V8 johnson outboards (two strokes)--stayed at the fuel station.
Impressive styling...I'm curious to see the true performance output, reliability, and pricing will compare to the G1 300hp.

I’m just wondering how they got all three Evinrudes to start

fuel must be cheap to run 3 300 2 strokes
Hondas are much better. They are much more quiet, more fuel efficient, and looks much better.
