When I started watching the video I was sceptic because he was using those thing that make a sound when you have a fish on your hook ( In my eyes it's a bit like cheating :) ). But when I saw how he respected the fish and treated them very well, i liked him a lot more! Great video and a great fisherman! I really really like him! No doubt my favourite carp fishing video.
Use to fish there late 90s / early Millenium as a kid, had a few early morning carp from there by the island. There’s also an old sunken well in the middle where the fish congregate, some decent size bream and always a decent gudgeon to be had on the float
You just made me remember being a kid and gudgeon fishing 👍, and I have never caught gudgeon since a kid

that said, we used to love southmere, danson park and burgess park. southmere in thamesmead had some real lunkers in there! all leney strains with tons of linears

Very nice video. I am glad that you take such good care of the fish you catch. I just recently started fishig for carp, and it is hard to find others who share my interest here in California. Do you have any recommendations on dough baits for carp? There aren't any stores here that I know of that sells boilies.

Was over the res yesterday and landed a 10lb common
Ashame that used to be on the bolton card along with the Dingle,Farmers,the canal there were loads on there,was more than 20 yrs ago though as i remember there were a few big carp from Doffcocker lodge put in Smiths isn't there a pool across the road called bull hill or something it's behind the terraced houses across the road from the two smiths pools.Thanks anyway mate.
To Fijan , if you look online on a plaice called mainline and you can order boilie base mixes and make your own, it's far better and cheaper. Then you can do what you want. Blend some spicy thing together like pepporami sausage and chilie oil. Carp love these. you can also get flavours and colour powders off the same company. Mainline baits. Or eBay there's a lot to buy cheap.

I was having the sme problem with the chod as you were letting he chod reach the buffer over the lead but the i started to put a knot in the leadcore about 12-14" above the lead and my catch rate on the chod whent up.After seeing your vid im gonna put that ring on instead i think the intergrity of the core won't be compromised buy the knot,see Ian Macmillan got a mention,go on the Stoke.
Whats the name of them big pools by moses gate mate,not crompton lodges as you come off st peters way heading towards Little Lever there are two pools on the left hand side i think they might be on the road that leads to Darcy,used to fish them as a kid you see i know theres some big carp in there and was thinking of giving it a go.

do some more vids alan i v done all the canals hampsted heath etc etc but add to much agg with smack heads an crack heads trying to nick me gear i got nicked twice so now moved to essex got some good lakes hear .i still pop back to me home town n london i enjoy the not noing whats in the lakes keep the good vids up
Best way to cook carp is to cook on both sides for an hour on a hickory plank on the grill then throw the fish away and eat the plank
