It seems that you have not been properly informed by your service workshop. I note that you refer to two different recalls.
1. 232600: SW update to avoid a potential overload of the gearbox shaft.
2. 33130000: This is not a Safety Recall, but a proactive measure to avoid potential rust insite the final drive. A small rubber drain is inserted at the bottom of the final drive.
I ride my second GS and personally I am not concerned about the safety of the bike. I had the changes done at my local workshop and I received a thorough explanation of the problems.
You are correct. The first update was clear, however nothing said about the second one, although I had asked questions about the issue, which no-body could or would answer here in Germany. It is not transparent as should be! That is my point! Thanks
