To me it resembles a heavenly music welcoming the Saviour to earth.
Brings me back to when I was an 8 year old Altar boy in 1959 at Midnight Mass (when it was in Latin and I cried when this was sung by the choir - my Mom always remembered that)

I used to watch this every year when it aired on PBS. Wonderful concert. My grandfather would sing this to us in Latin when we were children and we were in absolute awe.

Probably the best rendition ever recorded. When I first went to Notre Dame du Montreal in September of 2017, it was 39 years to the date of this concert. I was pretty emotional, due to having watched this incredible concert for my entire life on VHS.
