This song is really special to me because, while the story is adapted to fit the characters of Tubbo and Ranboo, it’s taken from my personal life.
It’s really hard to watch someone you love struggle with depression + anxiety. It’s easy to feel helpless, but sometimes the best we can do is give them a hug and tell a funny story. Stay safe friends

The concept of home has been very meaningful to us; our relationship started long distance, so bringing them home was so meaningful. Our wedding song was Ed Sheeran's Photograph with the line "Wait for me to come home". My wife also suffers from depression and severe anxiety, so that side also connected. We danced in the kitchen together to this song, for the first time in a while.

The delivery of "When the sun goes dark tonight, would you promise to stay and fight?" HURTS. I'm in PAIN. Your voice is CRYING! It's masterful, I can't. Every word just stabs right home. I can tell this song means a lot to you, the emotions I hear there are are so... so real.
I could go off for hours about how good you are at the final verses of songs, with the perfect swell in the instrumental and glorious conclusion. Every one of your songs has it, just the amazing final verse and chorus, and I love it so much. It's not easy to get it right every time, but you do.

My friend is the sample!! Lullaby is such an amazing person who has shown nothing but kindness to me and the rest of our friend group. She’s such a creative person as well, all the music she has wrote always takes my breath away because you can tell how much heart she puts into her art. man, this song really hits hard for me. some months after quarantine started, one of my friends started telling me over text that he was having thoughts about taking his own life (and sent me scars he had made on himself). I was the only person he could reach out to - the only real friend he had. thankfully I was able to help him get in touch with a therapist and he's doing much better now, but this song just made me think of the multiple times I stayed up late just talking to him to keep him from hurting himself. anyway, I'm rambling- this song is just so beautiful and everything about its message even beyond the dsmp characters it's about is so important

It makes me so happy to hear that he’s doing better now, and I hope he continues to improve. You are an absolutely amazing friend, and I’m proud of you for being there when he needed you most, and recognizing when he needed professional help.

my friend passed away three weeks ago, and i didn’t find out until yesterday. i don’t know the details of what happened because their parents are private about it and i don’t want to push them. but also, i’m not sure i want to know, because i’m scared it wasn’t an accident. because of that, in some ways, i blame myself. i feel guilty because we weren’t very close, and, coupled with covid, i haven’t seen them in-person in over a year. it hurts like hell, man.
i’ve known this song since its release, and while i’ve always liked it, it has an even deeper meaning to me now. thank you for your music, kroh.

I love how extreme the lyrics are and how casually you sing them. You are basically singing " the world may end tomorrow, but as long your with me im fine" and its so true to their relationship, there life is absolute hell fire, but they found love, they found a home.
This sounds like the story of someone trying to be brave through tragedy, and all they need is a friend to reassure them that they've got their back if everything falls apart, to keep them from falling apart too. :)

Songs dont often make me cry even if they make me a bit sad. Even though this song is the most sad sounding song when listening into the lyrics OH IM CRYING.
I know a lot of people with mental issues especially depression and anxiety, and i have both as well. Ive watched my mom have depressive episodes, ive dealt with the feelings of helplessness to help people and the feelings of depression myself.

This song is beautiful, I lost my brother to depression recently, and at far too young, but every time I hear this for just a moment I’m reminded of him.
When this song can out in June, I was on vacation and I remember waking up early and listening to this song for a week every morning while the light peaked in through the curtains. This song has become the thing that reminds me of my favorite place. Even 5 months later, this is still a great song. (Btw HAPPY 16TH ITS BEEN 1 YEAR)

Aww this is beautiful. One of my favorite things about kroh’s style is that his songs always have this really intense vibe to them, even if it’s a relatively slow and quiet song like Hush. But what I love about this song in particular is that it encompasses that same kroh intenseness while also conveying this incredibly bittersweet feeling (especially when Jewel’s vocals come in) that I’d never expect to find in a style of songs like kroh’s. But WOW does he MAKE IT WORK, FLAWLESSLY! Truly incredible work!! 👏😄

Okay besides the incredible amount of feel and emotion this song has that has made me cry 4 times so far, the first distorted verse could be dream of ranboos inner dream voice talking about how it's like he's forgotten about him during his time with tubbo
I listened to this back then when it first released, and up until now, it still draws up some sort of unknown emotion in me; not just because I was a dsmp fan back then, but seriously because I also felt like I somewhat connected to the lyrics. It’s really, really, beautiful back then, and it’s even more beautiful now. Just like fine wine. Oh how I miss these days

“my love comes, no strings attached, your free to go my pinocchio” is my favorite part, from what i see in my pov is that all the things that have been weighing you down or like making you be stressed like crazy is just all gone all the things that have been making you not being able to rest is gone and the wind comes blowing you so that you can cool down and relax.. like this line says “so strings attached” your strings tied into you just loosens and your free and i’m not sure if this makes any since my sleep schedule is pretty messed up and i think it’s messing with my english a bit sorry for that i’ve been going through some tough times lately
This is my new favourite song. It's made me smile so much these last four days and cry a couple time, which to be fair is pretty easy to do. It's so lovely and like with all your other songs I've been listening to it on repeat. The bit that goes 'my love comes no strings attached, your free to go my pinnochio' makes me smile so much and the last couple lines and their uncertainty and lack of faith makes me want to hug someone.
