A cheap (safety) mini mod I did on my N Blue 4th Gen is installed a Red LED Tail/Brake Light in the trailer hitch. It really draws your attention especially when you tap on it. You feel a little - safer when you hit traffic and an 18 wheeler is barreling up behind. Also Amber led's for the fog lights. They stand out more in rain and dark conditions iIMO
Good list for the 4runner, I'd also add the OEM Ashtray + Lighter swap over for the center console for an extra 12v and LED marker lights/turn signals for pre-facelift models.
Every experienced off roader knows, but it's good that you include the bit about the diff vents. It's cheap, it keeps your fluids from being destroyed by water, and it's easy to do. Of course if you do go through a lot of water etc, you're probably just removing the covers and checking for water often as it is.
Bro I love the mr2 ! I just got a jzx100 chaser and just got a 07 v8 limited 4Runner too ! And ur videos are a god send for info on this 4Runner !! Love to see another Toyota enthusiasts making content !!
On my old frontier I went to the tint shop and they charged me $100 for the two fronts to be tinted a year later when I got a Tacoma, I went back to the same tint shop place and the same windows it was $250. for the whole truck it was like $500 and if I went to ceramic, it was $1000. I was like how is it that much. 😂 love the video, Auxtio LEDs are definitely the way to go I run those all the time.
Just did a hyper dip on my emblems. They look good from 10 feet away but I wish I would have practiced on something else first. It’s not as easy as the videos make it out to be.
i put the in-channel AVSs on my ford in 2018, and they were never a problem (manual crank, but i don't think the motors would mind). i don't think i've rolled the window all the way up since, and they're still sticking in there just fine. in-channel on the 4runner is harder to find (read: no one on amazon has them any more), but they do still exist. just need to make my front windows work before i can install them. i don't like chrome, and i've got a little less than your tacoma, but the grille is the only bit i think is bordering on offensively blingy
The Rochester guy chiming in again. Those junkies have a kit, it's just not the kind of kit you or i would carry lol I like the stock bumper fog light idea. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to add weight to both sides of rig with heavy oversized bumpers.
Nice video, thank you. Have you had any issues with your taco headlights? I bought a set after you did your install video on them, my inner reflector housings flop around inside. I contacted Nilight but haven’t heard back from them yet.
@@CanadianGearhead perfect 👍 and thank you. I sent them all the purchase information and a video of the problem but no reply since. And of course I can put my old ones back in as they were destroyed.
Great video. I did my a/c knobs; LED headlight bulbs, upgraded BF Goodwrench tires. and yeah. Nice mods man. Next I doin the interior lights (led). So cool. Take care man .
To each their own but I grew up on a cutting horse farm in the N. Ga mountains, and have always thought of a truck as a tool. I don't understand people who drive a truck and seldom use it as a truck. I drive my 4runner because I live on my sailboat in Florida. I park on the beach, the roads flood pretty much every day, and I dive so I can keep gear in it without too much worry.
Most of the problem with the in channel sunvisors are due to how people install them. I have had them for many many years and never an issue however it is easy to install them incorrectly.
Hey I’ve got a 2007 4Runner with 134,000 miles. Do you know of any maintenance I might need to do it? Nothing has been done to it besides brakes, engine oil, and tires. I did recently replaced the spark plugs. If you could help me out that would be great.
I have the same with 131K. I just changed fluids for front & rear diff, transfer case, brake lines and power steering. I also had the tranny drained and refilled, but I also did it at 60K miles which is recommended. If you have never drained and refilled your tranny, you don't want to do it at all if it's never been done and you are over 100K miles. This video from The Car Care Nut is worth your time. The 5:00-minute mark discusses when not to do the tranny service. ua-cam.com/video/jJr30r6RRgw/v-deo.html
@@AK_what_it_do I have not. Toyota says my timing cover is leaking, which is supposed to be common with the V6. They say to replace the water pump when doing that job. But, it's nearly $3500! Mine is barely leaking. I'll just keep an eye on it.
suspension, fox 2.0 is good. you’ll be set for another 100,000 plus. do the spark plugs and ignition coils. clean the throttle body and sensor. like someone else said do the diffs and transfer case if you have a 4x4

Yes, please, could you do a video showing how to plasti dip the badges?
Just look up on UA-cam... So many, it's been around for many years so tons of experts on it. Very easy to do, I blacked out my Limited with Plasti 👌

Could you send the link for the ashtray mod?
Dude, that 4runner is freakin beautiful!
Auxbeam is a decent step up from nilight, very noticeable difference in looks and quality. I’d definitely recommend that step up.

Even the tint shops are charging the Toyota Tax haha
Appreciate the suggestions! Gives me some ideas for my '05 4Runner.
For me, ordering the OEM 4Runner black rubber floor mats was the perfect compromise
Another vote for a plastic dip video. Have my chrome emblems!
I like your rims on the 4runner! Looks nice
Thanks! They're Method Standards
Thanks for the information, very helpful

Look up the hose clamp mod for your tailgate. A couple of dollars and 5 minutes time will help keep it from walking off.

Rhino liner works way better than plasti dip.
It's a bug deflector for your windshield. it's not for the front of the truck
Where did you get the aftermarket grille? Its looks AWESOME!

4:00 bro, projector headlight housings are designed for HID lights and reflectors are best with LED bulbs.

Where did you find the grill for the 4runner I been looking for one forever
Can you please tell me what screen you installed on your dashboard
Where did u get the bug deflector at?
Can you share where you bought the hood shield?
Did you ever find out what the exact site is for the big deflector? I tried looking for form fit, but no success
Off topic but would you happen to know how to reset the amount of keys registered to the 4Runner? Thanks
Awesome video!!
How do you keep that lens clean
my in channel avs rain guards are great
