I love how you understand the costumes as character support ❤ I do hope some of the people who worked on the costumes find their way here and feel absolutely appreciated
Love this breakdown. Never got into Bridgerton but I've become invested in the costumes just from hearing everyone talk about it! Honestly I can totally see you making a cosplay of the jewel green and copper dress of Penelope's or Cressida's red dress!
I've never watched bridgerton but after watching this breakdown you've motivated me to give it a shot~ I especially loved the section you made on penelope as a plus size girlie and totally related to how my mom used to not know how to dress me for my curves! what an eye opener!
I really enjoyed season three and Penelope’s arc. I haven’t read the books so I’m sure that would have affected my opinion. She’s absolutely my favorite character and I LOVED her outfits this season. She had this one pale green/blue dress that had this sheer overlay with some sort of pink or purple shiny decoration that I totally want to make. Her outfits this season were so lovely and she’s a goddess. I also always love Lady Danbury’s style as well as Queen Charlotte’s. I really love those over the top 18th century looks. Her wigs are always exquisite and unique. She had this one outfit that had a burgundy wig that matched the burgundy in her dress that had the loveliest complimentary trim that I think was a dark blue green bit it was like two in the morning because I binged the whole second half of the third season, lol. I’ll have to rewatch again to pay better attention to the costumes. Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing your insights and ideas. ❤
I absolutely agree with Cressida's costumes resembling the upcoming 1830s! It's almost like the clothing is still evolving from the 18teens to the 1830s in a similar direction with the big hair and sleeves, but just in a fantasy way opposed to the way it did in real life. It's quite clever!
@KirileeCosplay I thought it was so brilliant! I love when costume designs stray from accuracy but still make the clothing evolve in a manner that reflects real history like that it's just 👌👌👌👌
I love your commentary but would have appreciated a split-screen presentation that kept the costume on screen while you were describing the details and pointing out the significance of various elements.
Ok follow up questions. 1. Which costume is your top choice to copy/paste to your own closet 2. What one are you most likely to make 3. Which look are you most excited to see someone else make?
My favourite that I want to make and put into my closet - and most likely to make if I can find suitable fabrics is Penelope's dark emerald green shot copper dress from the start of the season. That lives rent free in my head. I want to see someone else make Cressida's red dress.

I have to pause and watch the second half! Be back some time tomorrow, lol!
See you then!
Mama Featherington wore a lot of dark green & I wonder how much that influenced what Pen wore?
Lady Featherington’s wardrobe as always was amazing
Regency waistcoats were colourful. 🥰
Indeed

The costumes we're inspire by American fashion.
Um, I am going to disagree with that. But you are welcome to your own opinion.
It was, especially Penelope hairstyle. It's inspire by vintage old Hollywood. The Bridgeton wear blue, to represent Tiffany and co.
The actor who plays Benedict ripped his pants twice while filming the balloon scene
Glorious
