I remember as a little girl my Mom would ride across this bridge going to Ponchatrain Beach , so many loving memories thanking God for those memories of my Mom
Very cool memories. Thanks for watching
Your video by far is the best I've seen of Lafayette. Thanks for focusing on the architectural aspect of the city, usually I only find videos about the food and the music.
Thank you very much👍
Yep, looks like home.
Hello!!! So glad y’all stopped in Lafayette 💕. I hope y’all are doing well
Yessss! That's a lovely city! One day we'll return to fully enjoy it! ❤️
Hey, great video. Informative and entertaining. Thank you so much. Wishing you the best - stay healthy❣️
Love your video. Interesting and informative. The shots from above of the long bridge is breathtakingly beautiful. Subscribed a few days ago and will continue to watch your other videos.
Ohhh! Thank you so much! Your comment made my day! ❤️
You LIKE the twin achafalaya bridges??? I get nervous on those things!!!
Oh I hate the baton rouge bridge! Its cool but not when you are stuck in traffic and you can FEEL that bridge stutter and swing.
But I love baton rouge, my own home city, Kenner, metarie, and new Orleans.
Its only half of my heritage but I love it!
Lots of interesting information in a not too long vlog!
I like your accent!! You make me feel good ,I loved watching your video

I'm from south Louisiana and i truly love seeing the French - southern mixture of culture in Louisiana. I've been to all of those places so much I'm used to it
It is a unique and special place of the USA. We definitely want to explore more.
@@RenataPereiraTV definitely is, it's the only state that has a lot of things, I'm slowly starting to love my state even more
@@brantsengill9200 How nice! 😍😍😍
@@RenataPereiraTV you should please make more Louisiana videos, trust me, there's a lot to do besides swamps, we have civil war battlefields, old ww2 bases, and all sorts of things
Yeah, I was already impressed with everything I learned in this trip. Will definitely go back, as it's close to home in Texas. Not sure you had the chance to see, but I have lots of other videos in Louisiana: ua-cam.com/video/6kdq_S7SzDQ/v-deo.html - Louisiana is in my ❤️ too

I wish a nice week. Like from DidiAurich
Hi DidiAurich! Thank you so much! All the best to you!
Hi my name is tyo i live in Surabaya Indonesia, i have instagram friend from Eunice Lousiana who study in university of Lousiana at Lafayette. I've always talk and ask to her about cajun and acadian stuff. And this video completely amaze me how wonderful this bayou state truly is!
Wow, its a small world. We have several other videos about Louisiana and New Orleans. It really is different world, primarily French immigrants. Thank you for watching😍
@@RenataPereiraTV My pleasure! Ill definitely watch your another video rn! Oh Lousiana.. wish i could be there and found her lol 😂
Fun fact the people that live here in Louisiana don't speak french like they do in other states or country's they speak cajun french, and I know that because my granma is 79 and she speaks cajun french(because she's from Scott Louisiana) she got whipped and bullied when she was in school because she was speaking french. Also most people thats not from Louisiana or don't live in louisiana pronounce things wrong like (boudin, Atchafalaya, Lafayette, Opelousas and so many more)
Thank you for the information and sharing some of the history. Per chance do you have Canadian roots going back from the Acadians moving to the delta region?😃
Cajun and Creole French was banned from schools because it’s not a recognized language. It has influences from many other cultures. If caught speaking broken French, they did beat them because it was deemed “uneducated”.
I am a Cajun, both culturally and by ethnicity. Both sides of my family migrated from France to different parts of NE Canadia. Some in BeauBassin, Port Royal, Acadie. I have records of family that were held prisoners, some were shipped back to France, some changed the spelling of our surname and hid in Quebec (where they still live) and the rest were sent down to Louisiana. Those who were sent to France eventually came to Louisiana.
Also, a lot of towns are named after Native tribes and are not French. Where I live, we have one of the highest percentages of Cajun French being used. But, most of the towns that people struggle to pronounce are typically named after the local native tribes.
Ici on parle francais en Louisiane!
Oh oui! 😉 😊
Olá Renata - Uma curiosidade!!! - Estava assistindo o Filme Emancipation com Will Smith e aproveitei em saber mais sobre a cidade Baton Rouge. Encontrei vc aqui. Que legal. Achei a interpretação do Will Smith nesse filme, sensacional.
