I was literally just watching your video from 7 years ago called “Can a person lose their salvation”. I know you can’t lose your salvation, I just love to hear about how wonderful His promise is to us believers. It never gets old.

This gives me hope for my daughter, 28, who believed until the past couple of years. It has been a shock to us, but she had some questions and looked in the wrong places. Praying she returns to Jesus, her first love.
Same with me. My 32 year old daughter is a christian, but went to UCLA, and came out a non believer. She works as an executive in the music industry, and seems very hostile toward christians now. Even trying to pull her younger sister away from her walk. Lord, we pray our children will come to know the truth, and come back to a right relationship with you. Amen.
She may have left Jesus, But Jesus will never leave her

I know Eternal Security is what scripture teaches AND also my life is an example of the truth OSAS....I was saved at age 20 and now nearly 65. I was a backslidden Christian for a period of that time and restored for about 15 years now. I knew if I died in that backslidden state that I would’ve gone to heaven because Jesus whom I had trusted at age 20, though living in a backslidden state from ages 35-50 would’ve taken me to heaven as I am His. That’s because I had trusted Jesus at age 20 that He died for my sins and rose from the dead. Once I was restored to close fellowship with God after my back slidden stint, I saw in scripture the truth I what I had lived those 15 years as a back slidden Christian. OSAS is true! Jesus will not deny Himself when you’re born again even when you are backslidden. Salvation depends on the work of Jesus and not on my work. I’ve trusted Him and NOT in my work. Salvation is a free GIFT of Eternal Life and that life is given when you believe and just like in the natural you can’t be unborn once born. Praise the Lord.
Thank you Lord for the revelation/wisdom you are pouring upon Pastor Kim. God, please protect Pastor Kim and his ministry/church so that more and more people will be saved. All glories belong to God. Love from the Philippines.

This means you can suppress the Holy Spirit and sin, but once you believe, you are still sealed until the day of redemption. Why is this allowed? It does not make sense, does it? Every other religion says you lose your salvation by disobeying. This is to demonstrate GRACE and how wonderful it is and how wonderful it was that our savior, God himself, died for us so we could have GRACE. Under the Old Testament, if you did not keep the law, your name could be erased from the book of life. Once Jesus came and died and was resurrected, GRACE came into the world and the law was no longer that heavy yoke around our necks that we could not keep in the flesh we still have to live in. This is because Jesus redeemed our SOULS at the cross as evidenced by him emptying all the souls from Abraham’s Bosom and taking them up to heaven at his resurrection. Our flesh is still unredeemed and that is why we cannot help but sin. We are still in fallen bodies. This is why we cannot keep the law. Btw, if you rely on the law to save you, you have to keep the whole law all of the time and never break it or your name is blotted out of the book of life. By keeping the law, you become your own savior. But since nobody can keep the whole law all of the time, nobody is their own savior. This is why dispensation is so important. The age of law is finished and we are in the age of grace. Jesus came to do what we could not do, keep the law, live perfect as fully man and fully God and to shed his blood as a once and for all time redemption for mankind. This is a free gift and all we have to do is believe (Romans 10:9-10), then we receive the Holy Spirit baptism and are sealed (Ephesians 1:13) and this is unto redemption (Ephesians 4:30). Nowhere in the Bible does it say the Holy Spirit leaves you after you are sealed. It does say you can grieve the Holy Spirit (by sinning), but you are still sealed forever. Until our flesh is redeemed, we will never be able to stop sinning , this is again why we need a savior. Which one of us is perfect? There are none, we all fall short.
Yes saved by grace and sometimes its incomprehensible thats why we have an advocate in heaven, Jesus Christ...

I always say the same: we can't DO anything on our own to win salvation...but once saved by faith we can DO things to lose it? It's nonsense!!

A salvation you can loose is based off works.
John 6 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
He accepts you because you accept his sacrifice. As done finished paid in full. I'm saved because his blood.
Faith alone grace alone.

Fantastic sermon, It needs saying, Gene, as there are a lot if wicked pastors and lay people, who are trying to get Christians to doubt their salvation through faith alone and by putting their trust in Jesus Christs blood and person on the cross of Calvary. Ray comfort is heretical I believe. Paul Washer is heretical in this area, also, as he appears to teach a kind of Calvanism. We are saved by faith alone and we cannot lose our salvation, no matter what. Ephesians 2:8 and 9 tells us that we are not saved by works but by Grace alone, Amen. You have blessed me with this teaching.

Just as physical birth is irreversible (born of water) so is our second birth (born from above.)
What if we willfully sin? What happens then? If we die in willfull sin?
If you understood that the result of the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Spirit is a New Creature; the question of saved always saved would be yes once saved always saved. That which is born of God/ A New Creature. Because his seed remains in him neither CAN he sin because he's born of God created In Christ created in righteousness and true holiness 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:4-5, 2:10, 4:24

What about the Luke Warm???in Revelations the Luke Warm is not even cold but you seem to be saying the cold will be accepted. It is best to die daily like Paul and repent. Doc. The Luke Warm are not accepted according to the bible. I didn't watch to the end yet and maybe you covered this??? Still watching.
People say you can lose your salvation are using books like the book of Hebrews, book of James which are transitional books going from the "church of grace" back to the Law. Even though they have christian application and Jewish, its transiting to the great tribulation salvation. Pastor Kim is right on, Ruckman has sermons that will blow ray comfort, paul washer out of the water without a life boat.
It's not our fruit. It's His fruit. If we say it's our fruit we are same as Cain with sin crouching at the door that He stands at and knocks.

Really helped as i have been studying with a group of new Christians and i had brought up this idea and they believe there is warnings all over the bible that you can lose salivation

I am tired of defending this doctrine. My brothers and sisters don't want to look at rightly dividing the Word. Don't believe in Rapture therefore applying every doctrine to themselves.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. Maybe it needs "part 2". I have heard from Pastors who follow dispensational principles and compare-Bible-to-Bible addressing "Once saved always saved" in relation to some Revelation verses (apparently supported by other books of Bible). I will not go through their whole line of thought but, in the core is the term "blotting the name out of the book of life" from Revelation 3:5 which plausibly implies that if you were in the book of life, you might be removed from it and by related Revelation 20:15, that would mean damnation. For me and other lay people, some help in explaining that aspect of the question would be appreciated (and it makes for a good continuation of this well explained lesson).

Question though: What about a person that actually believed in the gospel for salvation (for example many pentecostal would generally teach an acceptably right salvation during street preaching) but then while growing in an heretic church (like a pentecostal one) they start to believe in losing salvation? Were they saved upon belief or were they saved for what they understood salvation is?
