downhill is the most adrenaline event in ski racing thats why i love doing it but i am a person who overcomes the fear of heights and these runs are as steep as they come dont let the camera trick you into thinking its not steep

The section from 0:58 to 1:08 is Aztec. It's so steep teenage me was hardly able to ski down it.
Once the course was open during training. I schussed the section from 0:45 to 0:47. From just that I picked up enough speed as I was willing to deal with and bailed.

He seemed to scrub alot of speed on some gates. I guess he wasnt competing otherwise he wouldnt add the air res of a gopro. With todays technology tho they should incorporate a small flat camera that all the skiers wear on top of their helmet so every skiers pov gets televised like in formula 1.
That would be a good idea if ski racing sponsors want to start ejaculating into 100$ bills

It’s easy to think gliders’ courses are easier; until you’ve actually skied on a pair of 220+ skis and watched them squirrel around as you try to keep the skis flat and gliding. Being on edge and turning is sometimes easier.
