On this channel I aim to replicate what goes on at a football/soccer club in real life. From big money takeovers to transfers and and squad building, we aim to take a realistic approach on our Road to Glory, RTG, as we push forward to conquer Europe.
I'm a big fan of career modes or Master League in general. And the storylines and cinematic elements are so much fun to do they only add to the realism of the series. I mostly play PES 2020 but I will be playing PES 2021 and PES 2022 when it releases.

I remember on FIFA 18 Career Mode save - winning the Premier League on the last day, at Old Trafford, with Arsenal - from a 40 yard Paul Pogba free kick in the fifth minute of injury time lmao. It was the only free kick I scored that entire 15 year save.
Still have the burns from celebrating by sliding bare chested across my living room carpet! 😂😂

I once had a big CL match with Real Madrid back in like 2007 on PES 6 and we were down 4-1 with 10 mins to go. We literally came back and Roberto Carlos made it 4-4 in the 95th minute. I'll never forget going crazy to that at like 1am and trying to stay quiet so my grandmother wouldn't get angry haha.

@@curtisb6860 you just remind me of my favorite ML campaign ever, back in PEs 2013 I was playing with Malaga, no big names in my squad I kept the original players, just bought Ganso from Santos and Diego Forlan, in the last game of the season, I was 2 point down the leader Fc Barcelona, 1st half Barcelona leading 0-1 Sevilla, I won my game, after the full-time whistle my players start celebrating I said wtf, Sevilla give me the title by winning 3-1 that was my best moment in ML I was so happy that day.
You can't beat taking a team from the bottom of a lower league and building them up over time.
100% RACING Forever! One of my favorite examples of this was Jordi Quintilla. Journeyman Spaniard became our captain and ended up lifting a CL trophy too in the end!

Just yesterday I've started an ML as Gerrad at Rangers. My goal isn't so much focused around his current club but for him at some point to end up at Liverpool and finally win that Premier League title as their manager.
12:02 is a good idea. I'm going to start a ML as Manchester United and I'm going to stick to their club ethos of having absolutely no idea what to do in the transfer market, haggle over 5m and eventually fail to sign the player that would have secured more victories worth more in prize money than the 5m that United were refusing to pay. I'm also going to install unqualified individuals all the way through my coaching setup, with the main criteria being if they're my mates and have a playing connection to the club then they're hired.

Great video man, especially the scenario part, which is severely underrated nowadays. For PS, since there is no options to disable regens you can either completely ignore them (with the risk of encountering a 20 year old 90 rated Zlatan murdering you while playing for west ham or smth in europa league), or try to use them but limit the starting overall to 70 or less, while also trying to avoid known players. You can "simulate" some youngsters from the pool of regens by looking for less known south american players, italian, etc or even make a challenge to develop some players that flopped. As an alternative is fun to get Pato, Bojan, Biabiany, Gyan, etc as regens but this time to actually develop and play them so you can see them reaching the world class potential that they could have achieved irl. As much as you would know football and players there will always be those that you completely disregard in standard career mode but as regens they are amazing. For me, across the years, for example Bruno Alves was the best regen defender, Quagliarella a god damn cheat code, Błaszczykowski somehow always reached ~90, etc. The problem with PES on PS is that in 4-5 seasons, as much as you want to keep it realistic, the game will not allow you to. In the end the whole point is to have fun. Cheers.
My best career mode rise was taking notts county from league 2 to the prem in 6 seasons in fifa 17. Had one of the best efl cup run winning the whole thing, on route I knocked out spurs in the semis 4-3 despite being 3-0 down at half time
Really looking forward to your PC modded PES , i'm so excited for mine to arrive although i own PES 21 on console it's nothing to the PC version,better graphics ,mods etc etc .
those are great tips, when i start ml, i usually look at the budget then recruiting n selling off the bat, now, when i start my new one ill go off by performance & take a more realistic approach & buy whatever position is lacking etcetc

Started playing as Pisa from serie b. Sold everyone and only signed players with age of 19 or lower. The max player ovr was 71 and lowest was 64 ovr. Right now at season 3 and most of them are 77-79. A quick tip, if you want to get quick boost to the player ovr, loan them out for 6mths time to the low tier teams.

Had a save in PES 2015 With Racing Santander. One of my best saves ever, I had Minandinho as an 87 ovr, Shaqiri was a 91, Kingsley Coman was an 86 ovr, and we just dominated La Liga for Years!

I used crotone in Legend difficulty and was promoted from serie B to Serie A.. I've carried so many trophies...I did treble recently carrying Champions league, Serie A and the coppa Italia...It feels really fun... I'm currently in 2028/2029 season...And yet it only gets interesting..
Crotone! Simy and Junior Messias always used to kill me on Legend. Did you keep them long or moved them for younger players?

I bought Onuachu to replace Simy and got Douglas Costa for free..Had to sell players because of financial issues in the club..So I sold Junior Mesias and a couple of others to raise funds..
I had to use Wengers philosophy.. Brought in some youth players used them for a season and sold them to generate funds. Though the team is financially strong now..And we are ranked 3rd in the club rankings...Maybe when I get to number one in club rankings I'll go for a different challenge maybe start a new Master League with Nottingham Forest in England Championship.. It's really fun..

I like your ideas and took your advice..I spent 12 days editing the ML Database till my eyes hurt, then the new update came & spoilt the game play... Most gutted, but gonna try to get Sheff Wednesday back in the big time, maybe Europe. I want the LFC job but always want to earn it rather than just take over !!! Started with a low budget 🤞🏾

Great video. I loved the longevity on the older versions of PES more, as they limited the regens, but also brought in options to get new, created youth players that you could genuinely build into your teams.
I don’t like the ‘no avatar’ players either on new versions of PES.
I hope the new release addresses the realism issues other people are mentioning below 👇.
For realism in this 2021 version though, I love to start as the ‘original PES’ lineup, so the fantasy team aspect is covered from the start. Then, I offload and part exchange the existing squad for players I’ve never heard of that happen to be in the 15-20 year old bracket or slightly above. Then I try to keep that group together as long as possible.
I would love to see more lower league divisions introduced and would like it if players could be recruited as coaches either before or after retirement, so the realism goes up. (They did that in Championship Manager, now Football Manager I believe)
Great tips! As far as transfers go I’ve nearly always started a ML/CM and ignored the first window. Like you say, look at what you have and judge from there. Have to admit that when it comes to older players I’ve always been reluctant to spend money but you’re absolutely right about the fact that in PES, they maintain their traits and can still influence the growth, moral etc of the other squad members. In your Racing save, when you upgraded your stadium how did you do that on console? I didn’t think you could change stadium within a save on PS4/5.
Hey Villa!! Love the approach! I've only recently (in the past couple of years) started buying older players more. The thing I've realized is - even if he's declining - an 82 rated player is still better than your 75 year old talents. So as long as you manage it well between the two and rest the older player when needed you can have a great balance.
With regards to racing - you can just do it in edit mode! The good thing about PES is that Edit mode is global (as in it affects even ongoing competitions). Just got to Edit Team and change their stadium to anything you want (you can rename them as well!)
@@TerryFGaming Thanks Terry, I honestly thought you couldn’t edit teams etc and it would take effect in an ongoing save. Interesting I’ll need to check that out. I’m certainly going to stop ignoring the older players that come up in my scouting messages too. My trouble is I love to play the games, the admin side of things I’ve always considered a ‘hindrance’ but I know that in order to get the most out of the ML it needs to be dealt with better by me.
@@VillaBravesGaming When it comes to older players too, I often try to make a story out of it too right? Like bringing Ashley Young back to Villa to end his career etc.
But yes you can also change kits etc. during a Master League season like I mentioned. That all helps with immersion. But love that you enjoy actually playing the game!
One thing I didn't mention that I've only started doing but I LOVE now is editing over the regens.
Ramon Acevedo was so fun in my ML, wish I could take him with me!
Definitely love creating a story around my mater league saves that gives it kinda its own reality if that makes sense, it creates a dynamic that drives the save forward

Currently doing a Sevilla save and there is actually no need to sign anyone. The only thing is.... I do is change playing styles. But ivan rakitic has the smart player style so him as Captain boots spirit. So it's kinda easy.
I think starting with lowest team spirit not signing anyone and gradually let that spirit get higher with a good core squad.
One strategy I usually do when signing regens is signing the ones with build faces only. So if he has a real face and is a regen, I will not sign him!

I like implementing a financial fair play or if I am using a team like Dortmund I have to sell my best young player to a bigger team every 3 years or that by the end of every year the net spend is a profit over for example 30 million but change it to you’re liking

Great tips! I use most of these but I like the idea of upgrading stadiums if you start with a smaller team, especially from a lower league looking for promotion. I'd love to be able to use the strategy of changing hairstyles, etc. but you know me. . . .I just cannot stand using non-scanned faces on PES. They are just terrible. LOL
I'm still working on setting up my next ML. I'm going to take the premier league and add in some new teams to make it a more competitive two tier league. I'll add Rangers and Celtic (this has actually been discussed for years in real life). I'll also add in some of the "other" European teams that don't have their full leagues in PES. I'm also in the process of adjusting ALL European players in two ways:
1. adjusting all ages down 3 years. This will give young players more time to develop and get better. It will allow 25-28 year olds more time to play before stats start decreasing. It will also delay retirement for some of the older players which will help with the regen situation
2. adjusting stats up for ALL bottom feeder teams in the Premier League and ALL Championship League teams. This will give more balance and allow more variability on who gets promoted, who gets relegated and who is challenging for the title each year. I am 8 years into my current ML save and the same 4 teams finish in top 4, and the same teams keep getting promoted and relegated every year. Makes it boring after a while.
I love this Tim! I think personally the ages would bother me a bit but it's a good approach to a long and interesting ML.
You know what's really interesting - there's an editor for PC, seems a bit confusing to use but it apparently lets you all the in game edit stuff from a program outside the game (this makes it easier to do things in bulk quickly).
Funny enough as well! I've been planning to do a Rangers/Celtic season in the prem since last year on the channel. Thinking I may do it as a stopgap inbetween series - we'll see!

Yes, great example as well. I left them out because the youth team is bad in PES BUT you can actually create a fully basque youth team and run a Master League. I've thought about doing this on the channel as well.

I did It and was soooo exciting! At the second season I could sign some youths from the youth team and some players like Moncayola, Aihen Muñoz or Barrenetxea and I won the Europa League! I recommend that team, but you should be ready to live some hard moments against the best teams of Europa!

@@edy6308I didn't do it. I just sing some player to play for 2 years without problem fighting for La Liga in both of them. At the thir year, in my academy, I found some Spanish players to sign and make me team stronger for a longer time. I played with Athletic for 4 seasons and it was sooo amazing. I can to say that this ML was the hardest one I have played in Pes2021.

I like the transfer tips as it can ruin immersion really fast as transfer (full-loan) can easily expolited (and can be fun at first but no point).
I see your Nottingham ML and you signed from MU/Chelsea it might have been a bit meh from +10 club rank point of view but that is what it is. We can feel pretty easily what is realistic and what is not. If we want realistic transfers it is just up to us.
I started a new ML with scout only (and club ranking consideration) - to make it more random. No known wonderkids to search to, etc.
And I will not buy and free transfer 16 year old regen wonderkids - even the starting OVR and market price can tell who has good potential. Only from youth team - at least a bit random. I plan to by regens after several seasons when my scout finds them and club ranking allows... and can decide if it is even worth the effort to sign them.
"Do not hoard" section is very good too I missed that point in the past. I have set it to "refuse all" and clubs never found (with release fee either) - even if they found I decided who stay not the player. :) I like the ideas how to evaluate a realistic release - like in real life. That is totally up to us. If we want it more realistic we can do it.
"Buy older players" - that is even harder with scout so for that maybe need to make exception. And it opens the unrealistic bandiera transfers which probably do not happen often in real lifes. They are bandieras for a reason. And so easy to buy/loan them with this system. Even if they do not play. That is even more realistic to sign them for the training effect. :D (at least chemistry boosters in match). I have to think about it what is realistic or not in that regards.
I probably can not wait for my scout to find those players and even if they do I have the same dilemma. I planned to use scout for the random factor not the fairplay as scout can be unrealistic either (but at least try to find players around my level - but not as strict as club / leage level consideration).

I’m on legend fuma for about a year now. Because all of my playing is basically recording for my series on this channel haha I don’t ever replay. You’ll see some true drubbings I’ve received. I think Juve beat me 7-2 once 🤣

First 3 seasons weren't great i finished below top 8
4th season i won the league!
Now in my 5th season i lost to shakhtar in the ucl but in my second game i miraculously grabbed the 3-2 winner against cska moscow to keep me in the competition
My 3rd game is against bayern but i didn't play yet
Regarding transfer policy i noticed that my team loan a lot of players from lille so i replicated that
And also i buy talents from lower table teams in my league
I search for old belgian players outside of the league and buy them like vermaelen
And i sign occasionaly some free agent.
I think this season will be my last because i plan to move to reading in the championsh
in my first season in reading i'm looking for other players to partner up with the current squad, Any Suggestions on what to do in ny next adventure with reading.

Have u done a master league in Brazil or Argentina if havant recomend u to very fun competive leagues the Argentina leagues so open i think most open in master league
I play on second hardest playing level, and hardest transfer market difficulty,,,,,,meaning the AI isn't so generous with buying or selling, therefore it feels more realistic so much so that::..and cchanging these clause affects the players probability to sign.......so given the most of your players have buy on clauses you cannot really create a scenario to get big profit a for selling your players because as soon as the team hits that release clause you have to sell anyway this is also an issue with players you buy in order to hold onto them without another team forcing a sale and losing an important player........but yes i have sold my biggest talents against my own wishes......but what i have found makes things enormously difficult are the finacial restrictions with smaller cluba especially the wage cap limits.......so basically players with high salaries i have to question thier worth, because it's restricting my recruitment possibilities.......the other thing to really be wary of, is very wary of changing your formation and playing style, because it effets your team cohesion, (fluidity teamworking consistency etc) changing formation and philosophies decrease this cohesion level.....and basically means your players play worse even if you allow the ai to manage a game, because from my experience this team will lose as much as you do, well i do.....so it's probably better to leave this as set or at least wait till it wont effect the overall team as much, although we usually think we know best....as it increases the more you gain experience with it and the better you are judged to have performed, not always being reliant to whether you won or lost....most of this wasn't in older iterations of PES, so this game is much improved in this regard..

I started a new master league and people that moved last irl transfer window aren't in their teams. Eg werner isn't a chelsea. How do you fix that?
I have a problem, super star is too hard and champion is to easy for me (difficulty) i mean on superstar i can lose 3-0 vs Venezia and win 3-2 vs inter but in both got dominated, in champion difficulty its ok but the CPU is so stupid sometimes like if i do L1 + triangle on kick off im always 1v1 with the keeper, i saw you arr in legwnd difficulty and full manual with hertz Berlino, how you can? So hard man!

Do you olay on same difficulty level for all games… im playing on top player now and i feel like all the cup games and derbies play glitchy
Hey man, I play on Legend exclusively but you are 1000% right about domestic cup matches and derbies. Derbies I get actually, it makes sense but the domestic cups have been rigged since last year to be MUCH harder than regular league matches. I've pretty much confirmed this through a bunch of testing so it's not in your head at all.

On PC i'm using Arsenal again but have big Wenger in charge and mod in Highbury before Arsenal got greedy moving to the Emirates, i do have plans on getting face mods for younger Ramsey,Walcott,Rosicky,Nasri ,Fabregas and Wilshere faces as teenagers obviously use the same players just edit their age and add a face mod , Rosicky i'd have to use the MyClub version in i'm adding icons into my master league it'll take some time but totally worth it ..PES 22 won't be as modded at the start so i'll concentrate on PES 21 ...On console PES 21 is dead .

How can I change kits if I am using evoweb patch or Virtuared patch instead of an option file? I made kits, I import kits. But all was in option files. How can I do that in patches?
Hey Dante! GREAT Question - haha I'm actually trying to figure this out myself at the moment for my future Master League series. I think you have to import kits via kitserver. I'm pretty sure you need photoshop as well to convert the files. I would suggest asking around in the kitserver forums on Evo web. I haven't asked yet but they are all really helpful there.

Yea you can! May be some different guys now. The likes of Castolo are retired!

My favorite save was this year I put all the Manchester United youth players that aren't assigned to the team on the team and made sure to let them grow and now I'm in 2029 and I have greenwood as the clubs all time top goal scorer and a starting eleven of all real youth players

Terry i just ordered two gaming PC rigs online for me and my partner, the PC was only £400/$555 cheaper than a PlayStation 5 this is why i wanted to move away from Sony pal more freedom in general as you know yourself...On console the game is very limited.

Guys, in master league, the national friendly match players is old players who had already retired. Why is this happening? Any solution for this?
Hey man, you're not seeing retired players really. In PES they bring back the same players as 16-year-olds. So even if they are retired you're seeing them again as a new young player (but their faces stay old)

You go with a 2 or 3 Stars Team and rebuild....why somebody chooses Barcelona or Liverpool to rebuild its not fun...I choose Paok its a 3 Stars Team highest ranked Players on 77 the most players 70 So this is a Challenge.Or harder you rebuild with original ml set up.

Konami should make it more realístic. The transfers are just fucking unrealistic. Atlético Madrid bought Jordi Alba but a Catalan would never play for a team from Madrid. Also the gameplay is just too stupid. It really seems the konami developers never watched a real football game.

Personally for me I think their should be an option. I love seeing random youth players develop to become world stars. It's fun too at times to use the young versions of certain players but when you see a 17-year-old Leo Bonnuci at United looking like his mid-30s it can ruin the immersion.
It should be like FM - a dedicated youth setup where you can develop the next generation.
At least give us the option either way to turn on or off.

Meh. Pes is broken. One player not being in full spirits with the team and it feels like he's missing a brain cell. That's not realistic. I don't know about FIFA, but in comparison with older Master Leagues, this one is shit. A player to develop needs to play every single game even if he has no stamina, as if wonderkids no longer exist in real life or that players can't get good over a season. And the flashing arrow shows up randomly despite what people are saying that a players needs to get consistently high ratings. It's completely random. I don't mind losing, i love a challenge but I also want to enjoy good football. I don't mind having Mpabbe dribble through my entire team or literally every free kick of my opponent ending up in the net. But I do mind when two players are completely alone, in a good position, everything is perfect, you aim perfectly and whether u press x or triangle a player will turn around and pass to the most irrelevant player on the pitch. That's not realistic. Even a 16 year old in real life playing in a friendly wouldn't be this stupid. Legit feels like they are missing brain cells, probably paying a tribute to the idiot who decided these changes in KONAMI in a silly attempt to make it more realistic. As if ML was the problem.
