Aww....@0:26 Cynthia Lennon running for the train
I wasn't aware of that, so its actually her or just supposed to be something that happened to her in real life they are parodying?
@@nnahler Knowing what Beatles fans the Rutles crew are and how they lovingly include so many details about the real Beatles, I feel certain that they knew what they were doing having that female character run after the train, just like Cynthia Lennon did. Cynthia herself was not in the film, and I doubt she’d have wanted to re-enact such a painful personal moment if they’d asked her to appear in the film.
@@nnahler Indeed, they are re-enacting a pivotol moment in Cynthia Lennon's life. She did miss the train that took The Beatles to Bangor in Wales to spend time with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi during their foray into Transcendental Meditation. Much later on Cynthia wrote in her book "A Twist of Lennon" that it was at that moment she realised that The Beatles and especially John were leaving her behind. It was probably at that moment that their marriage began its slow downward slide into dissolution.
She missed the train. But she was taken to Bangor by car by Peter Brown. And they probably got there before the train did.
@@nnahlershe missed the train in real life and later said “I felt I was missing more than the train ….”
Is it Stig singing?
Neil Innes wrote these songs but Ricky sings this one.
@@memory-nownow-anticipation7087 Neil didn't he play with Billy (Faul) in Bonzo
it makes sense he’s playing George lol 😂
