We own over 1000 board games and my kids still think Candyland is fun. I feel like a failure of a parent 😕 But to be honest... they have so much fun that I end up having fun every time too ☺️
Yeah, my nephews really enjoy playing games simply because they like the theme. Most don't have any challenge or strategy, I might as well give all players a number and run a random number generator and whoever has the number that comes up wins. yay. But yeah, if the kids enjoy the theme and they like it when someone gets sent up a ladder and someone else slides down a snake and that makes them happy, then I'll play it with them.

I cheated at candyland when I was 8 or something, I snuck the sugarland princess at the top of the deck and my dad, to this day, has not played another game of it with me. awesome review for the 1000th! This review reminds me that on top of the insight you provide, the best part of your reviews is the comedy. I hope this doesnt put an end to holly's fake meeple eating. SHUT THE DOOR!!!!
I still think that it was a game piece from the tower. I forgot what the game was. It couldn't have been a jelly bean...I refuse to believe it. Yeah, Candyland is awful but remember it is for very young children. It gets them into gaming, if nothing else.
