You failed to mention that DICE (battlefield developers) helped guide/build AB with blizzard. This is why it feels like a bf map. Much like wsg was assisted by ID Software.
AB is the best BG in the game !...I made rank 14, (High Warlord), in retail, 14 years ago, by winning game after game, after game, in 7 minutes, for months and months. I'm 72 years old now, and if I tried that grind again, it would probably end my life. That being said, I still love AB, and will be playing it in Classic, just not as vigorously as I did in Retail.
AB was always my favourite too. I would play a night elf shadow priest - which was a great counter to your rogue capping strategy. I'd be able to stealth at a base (and easily call very early incs for the rest of my team so floaters could rotate appropriately) whilst making the node I was defending look undefended, so it was very enticing for a solo rogue to come along. I'd watch them get about halfway through the cap and then unload on them. It was really effective.

Don’t get your hopes up. sadly both horde and ally will premade the hell out of this and stomp pugs just like wsg. I recommend seeing if your server has a pvp discord and start joining premades yourself. you’ll have much more fun.
It's the best BG because a winner is chosen after a reasonable amount of time, unlike WSG were it go on indefinitely in a stale mate where neither team is making progress.
I am with you that AB is the best it can't be zerged like AV and can't be turtled like WSG it has an end point that the other side can't stop. Now if only I had alts in an alliance heavy server area in retail
Agreed AB is def the best. Back in vanilla I got to rank 10 as a shadow priest and probably 80% of that honor was from AB. AV on the other hand I never much cared for, too big and complicated and diluted with pve factors, and it could go on for far too long.
Yeah it's gonna be a nice change. From playing rush games in AV all day due to the meta shifting to total garbage, to losing to a never ending cavalcade of alliance premades in Arathi Basin. We will attempt to get a premade going, but being on a PvE server the pool of people who cares about PvP at all is tiny. We couldn't find 10 people to run 1 (one) WSG premade.
The only thing wrong with thw video in mobas like league is you said you play the map...? I dont know how much league experience tou have but you react to where players are and the complications with that is vision so you have literally less than 5 seconds to decide weather that turret, drag ,baron or rift hearld worth it or not and you make it seem like league is solely 3 lanes you also forgot the jungle but whatever

The magic triangle is horde biased, farm lumber mill and blacksmith. Against a really good horde team, Alliance will always struggle.
