I know that Paul was important to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but if I were living in Israel at this time it would have been Peter I would have followed! He actually lived with our Lord for three years and he is a character we can all identify with, he was a real person who had the same faults and failings we all have, even to the point of denying he knew the Lord not just once but three times! It was absolute fear that made him do this, fear that he too would have been rejected, tortured and crucified, he knew this was going to happen to Christ and I think we all may well have done the very same thing. 🙏🙏🙏

Recognising there is limitless detail as we gaze into the raw and timeless beauty of the Gospels, but beyond a joke about pork ribs, what CONSEQUENCE this kingdom, what impact and threat to local economics (cf Paul and Aristarchus and Gaius and 'Artemis' at Ephesus!) - and personal economics - is the Kingdom of God. (cf Jesus and the rich young dude; fishermen at nets, Zaccheus up a tree, precious anointing oil poured out, embalming of the Christ corpse etc etc Can you see a pattern?) Your cash. Give as you can. Support this powerful re-telling that is so timely and true. Forget tithing. Be more lavish than the law required... Spread seed widely... True freedom - is in Christ. God bless you!
