- I have loved this character since season 1. Her character made no sense throughout season 7, but I wanted to make a tribute to her despite that because I love Clarke Griffin so much.

I miss her. I love her. Her story was hard, painful and yet so powerful. This is a very good tribute. Showing her for who she really is and how hard was for her to be a leader.
They all waited for her to make the hard decisions, to come with a plan, to take the responsibility. No one else (putting Octavia in the bunker and Bellamy who was on her side through the seasons) volunteered to take the lead. And yet they always complained, blamed her, expected something more and there were very few times when they said thank you.
Was she perfect? No.
Did she make mistakes? Yes.
But she is amazing in general and Eliza has done an amazing job. ❤

Agree. Clarke isn’t perfect and the’s why she is my favorite character. She’s human and flawed and lost too much. But she never gave up. Truly a hero.

@Josh Adams I was thinking the same thing the other day. Everyone who blamed her at first, eventually ended up in her shoes (literally for seconds) and that was enough for them to understand her.

This is exactly why I loved her so much. Clarke was complex. She tried to to save her people and bear the burden so they don't have to, never got a thank you for it, never complained, looked like the invincible leader, the mighty Wanheda...but in the end she was just human. A girl forced to make sure thousands of people get to live and honestly the world was not fair to her. Let's face it none of us would be able to handle what she has been through. And many other characters wouldn't either. I'm not saying she is the only one who has been through a lot but Clarke and Octavia suffered the most in my opinion and they are also the best characters of the show if you ask me.

she tried and failed miserably, she couldn't even lead 100 people for 1month, how would she lead 100 000+ for 10yrs and successfully..like for example Lexa did? I find Clarke to be a great character, but she was always meant to be a FAILURE..

@@elvisibra sometimes it's not the end result that matters it's the journey, the doing is more important than the outcome, so no she's not a failure but rather a fighter who keeps fighting and trying, but hey that's just my opinion..

I think one of the reasons why she is so mature and a good leader is because she learns from her enemies, friends and family:
When Murphy wanted to kill Charlotte, she took the role of a mother figure for her. ''Revenge isn't justice'' she said.
She didn't want Bellamy to take the weapons they've found back to the camp, because it would mean that there would be more casualties. She learned that the cycle of violence could never be broken if they killed Anya. Saving her was the first step to peace. She beat monty about breaking the cycle. She had to sacrifice Bellamy and Finn to save the many delinquents. She bears the burden of killing more than 300 soldiers alive, including her own people, Bellamy and Finn. She thinks her mother died during an exodus ship crash but still manages to think properly, she lives with the burden and has to fix the mess.
She learned from Lexa that you shouldn't let love get in the way of your decisions, but you shouldn't hide from your feelings either. You have to confront your love and do whatever it takes to save your loved ones. She knew that it was the same for the people in Mount Weather, she saw how they lived in ''peace'' and wanted to survive too. She gave them a choice to surrender and they didn't do it. When they were about to kill Abby, Clarke made the choice for them. If Mount Weather survived, they would go on and kill the rest of the human race. Clarke manages to kill the people in the mountain and doesn't want Skykru to bear the burden, so she leaves Arkadia and her people get to live in peace, without bearing the burden.
Clarke wanted to take revenge on Lexa for betraying her, revenge is justice in her eyes. It's not the right time to kill the one that unites every clan, so she joins them so Clarke's people can live in peace. But that doesn't help because the crazy bitch in the red dress wants everybody to go to the City of Light, by force. A.L.I.E wants to save humanity, Clarke wants to save humanity so they can live. Two objections with different goals. She was willing to let her mother die so A.L.I.E could never get the passphrase. She didn't know if she could survive the nightblood transfusion but did it anyway. She confronted the A.I by telling her that you have to overcome pain and suffering, that it's not living if you're not really living. Life is about more than just surviving, and they're gonna have to find out how they can survive Praimfaya in 6 months. Clarke has to fix the mess that they're about to face.
Except that it's not 6 months, it is about 35 days before the death wave destroys all life on Earth. While everybody is killing each other, Clarke is looking for a way to make sure the human race survives, it's not just her legacy, but the legacy of the human race itself. At first she wants skykru to survive, but later on she learns that it doesn't matter if another clans survives. They find a bunker and she wants every clan to survive, they can share it equally as long as there's a leader and Skykru deserves more spots, because they know how to operate the bunker. The clans refuse and are fighting in combat. The clan to survive Praimfaya will be the clan that wins the conclave. Clarke doesn't want this to happen because it seems very likely that Luna is going to win, she no longer has a clan and fights for death. If she wins, nobody will be saved. Clarke doesn't believe that they're gonna let Skykru take the bunker if they win, so she lets them take the bunker in advance. She makes the tough choices like always: Humanity over the rest of the human race. Octavia wins and basically steals Clarke's idea about sharing the bunker. Octavia doesn't know a lot about Skykru and refuses to acknowledge them as her own clan, she wants the human race to survive, even if that means that humanity won't. We're all equal yet she's above the law, like a dictator. Skykru gets betrayed once again, 6 years in hell. Clarke has to fix the shit Octavia has caused.
During the 6 awful shitty years, she wants to have some people close to her. She adopts a girl that she has found, a natblida like her. Throughout the first year that she's spent on Earth, Clarke has learned that there are no good guys and tells Maddie that she should do whatever it takes to save the people you love. When another prisoner ship comes down on Earth, she thinks of the things she has done in her life that led to the horrible conflicts and wars that she went through. It has always been about different groups wanting to survive, so she chooses that they should both join the prisoners. It makes sense for Clarke to choose their side because she thinks the people in the bunker didn't make it, they could only survive for about 5 years before the first problems appear. She had hope that Spacekru was still alive and well, but deep down she knew she had to accept the slim chance that they may be gone. When she found the other humans, she didn't hesitate and joins them. You can't start a war if you're all on the same side, huh? Too bad they're not on the same side, there are different groups within the prisoner group. Things changed when the people got out of the bunker and when she saw Bellamy was alive. She doesn't want Maddie to become part of the war, she might die if she does. Clarke tries to hide the fact that Maddie is a nightblood but it backfires. She is now at the center of the whole conflict. Clarke wants to fix this mess by letting Wonkru and the prisoners live in the same valley, but Mcreary doesn't want anybody to live in the valley. If he can't, nobody will. Earth has been destroyed once again and they have to find a new solution: Waiting for Earth to heal while they're in cryo, but Monty has an alternative.
There was another Eligius ship that went to different planets to colonize them. Clarke and her friends go to one of the planets to find out if it is habitable and if there are other survivors. There is a whole peaceful society living on a compound, but they are worshipping false gods. The gods are body snatchers and need nightblood to put a mind into another person's body. Clarke saved one of the hosts by chasing the guy who was gonna kill her. She saved one host but got killed by the primes when they found out she is also a nightblood. She died because she saved a girl, somebody she didn't even know. But she is not dead, she is alive in her own head, but her mind is about to die. She has to make sure Bellamy doesn't make any bad mistakes while she's gone, so she gives him a message. They don't want to kill everybody inside Sanctum, they're doing better now... But it doesn't work. There is an imposter among them, somebody gives them the formula to make nightblood and somebody went into a green portal. She is the first person to get out of the anamoly but doesn't remember anything about her journey. When Clarke gets her body back thanks to Bellamy, she is going to take revenge on the Primes, they are sparing the innocent people.
Clarke has done a full 180 and back, a 360 and another 180 twice. She went from princess to Wanheda, from fake science ''Heda'' to ''mother'' and from ''Josephine'' to Clarke. Her journey is about saving others, even if she has to sacrifice other people and even herself. Her journey is over, her fight is over.
"I know you don't believe it now, but one day they will thank you for everything your doing here."

She did what she has to do like always. She sacrificed everything she has and paid everything she did i love you clarke griffin you suffered instead of them. But everytime she did something horrible for saving her people nobody said you're not a monster you did for us ( except bellamy ) they always blamed her. But finally she is free and happy ( the best characters of the show clarke octavia and bellamy i love you guys so much you thought me so many things I'm so grateful ) btw this video is amazing I'm in love ❤️👄❤️

She has lost so many people and has been thro so much but she still saves the people she loves. She does things no one else would be able to live with. She bears it so they don’t have to
it still bothers me that they didn't give Bellamy credit on the genocide of mount weather and blamed it all on Clarke, and the way they kept grudge toward her in all the seasons but have forgiven Bellamy for killing 300 people with pike within five episodes(even Octavia).

Clark deserved better they would always hate on her and blame her for everything but she was helping them and she lost everything and Lexa was the only on who saw that she wasn’t a bad guy
I love her so much I can’t even explain it I relate to her sm not like the killing and stuff obviously but like nobody realizes how much pain she is in and none of her friends have seen what happens behinds the scenes and they all treat her like she’s just ok, omg that sounds like I’m begging for sympathy I’m not bahah I love my friend it’s just yk

Clark was a leader and sacrificed so much trying to keep her people alive. Octavia did that for six years and all she did was make her people die for a worthless course.
I'm still pissed about Bellamy. They did his character so wrong in the last season.

I think that's one of the things that made me fall in love with Clarke. She is very smart and kind, she has real values and desires to do better for everyone. She knows the rules and laws and works to help. So when circumstances force(world, people or she herself) her to make one of the impossible choices, we see her suffer. She still cuts her heart into pieces, not sparing herself (as she said in the first season, she is a renewable resource, not special). Against the backdrop of immoral acts of anger and just wanting to hurt, or simply not caring, that other characters commit, she shines.
