Thanx. I have every issue of Sell Out. I own Stereo version on vinyl. One thing best about 2021- that box set! Since 1983 I couldnt wait to hear Dont You Want Kids Kid?
I've just picked mine up at a record fair here in the UK today! I love how each CD has an individual sleeve - many boxed sets through the years have not taken this care. The information in the book and the home demos are fascinating. 'Sell Out' is one of my favourite albums of all time, so it's thrilling to have this comprehensive box of wonders!
Hi A very enjoyable box set. I was never a big fan of this album, but it's like you said, it shows the fun they had recording it. The Road To Tommy is a very interesting cd. Enjoy listening.
Yessir, Jamie. Another great looking set. The Who are/were always a cool balance between classy and badass! No surprise that the box and packaging look so nice. Best way to house the discs that I've seen so far. Great 45's as well. The book is outstanding. Just an all-around beauty of a box set. Thanks, Jamie. Cheers!
@@jamiecottle5850 oh, thank you. Very cool. I was happy to see you had posted this, as I hadn’t seen a video of yours in a while. Great voice, man! Enjoy The Who Sell Out.
Thanks for all your unboxing and/or new release videos you post; I have a hard time knowing or being informed of what's newly released, and you've really helped me know what's out there now!
I just picked up the vinyl Very nice packaging, though. Tomorrow I slice it open to give it a listen. I have a copy in L.A. I remember back in mid 70s, it used to be a cheapie almost everywhere. Shows you how times have changed.
QUESTION: Are the two 7" records "real" records? I've seen some reviews that say the two vinyl 45s sound great, but the 45s in the set I received are just fake novelty items - they look great but the discs themselves have no grooves on them. They aren't actually records. Is this the case or do I have a bootleg item?
Hi Sal. I don't know what to say. The two 7" records/ 45s are in fact actually records that I have played and sound fine. I can't believe that the ones in your box are "not real". If so, then it does appear that you may have a bootleg/knock off. I am really sorry to hear about this. Have you actually tried to play them? So frustrating.
@@jamiecottle5850 Thanks for the fast reply Jamie. You do raise a valid point being that I don't have a turntable at the present time. I based my opinion on close examination and feeling for any texture on the discs. If they do have grooves they're almost microscopic! I'll take them to my sister's house tomorrow and try playing them on her turntable. I'll let you know the results. Thanks again.
@@jamiecottle5850 Hi Jamie. Well hold the phone, call me a fool and throw me a rag to wipe the egg off my face. The two 45s are indeed genuine and played fine on my sister's turntable. I still swear I can barely see or feel the groves on them but then neither my eyes or my fingers are what they once were (hint: the album first came out when I was a teenager). I suppose part of what made me suspicious was the individual box the set was packed in within the shipping box. It read "Made in Czech Republic", so it certainly wasn't made in Japan!! I've been less trusting ever since I got burned with a deplorable bootleg of the Beatle's Mono Box. Anyway, I'm happy to know it's all OK. Thanks again for your fast response and helpful feedback. Ah, at last a fully remastered version of "Heinz Baked Beans" - what more could anyone want. Stay well and keep rockin'!!
@@salmartello2152 That iswonderful to hear. So glad "it's the real thing". I have seen a number of videos on bootleg Beatles Mono Box sets now that you mention it. So happy this one worked out. Enjoy!
I've purchased every release of " Sell Out"- this should be it.

I just got The Who's Next/Lighthouse box in the mail this weekend.
I got The Who Sell Out box set when it came out,
always a favorite album of mine.
Thanx for the unboxing. I will order it. Think is a real gem. Greetings from Germany. I'm new here, 65 years old and a Vinyl and Box-Set Nerd.
Thank you for stopping by, Manfred. Wonderful to hear from you. I think you will enjoy this box set. Well worth it.

Another nicely packaged box set. I do love the books, they have been done is a fantastic way. Great looking set.
Thanks Steve. Great to hear from you.
This is a fantastic box set! So well done, and I love all the extras included. So fun!

Yes, times have changed indeed. Look forward to your video, Darrell. Thanks again.
This box is really tempting! It's my favourite album by the Who. Thanks for sharing, you may have cost me some money.. take care Dale
Hi Dale. Funny you mention that. I think VC does have a lot of us sending money after watching each other's videos. Glad you stopped by.
Looks like a well done box set.
Thanks Eric. These Who box sets are generally well done. Lots of content. Great to hear from you.
Incredible record.
Looks a fantastic set.!!.I'm debating whether to just settle for the 2 lp version with selection of bonus songs.
Ebay has the super deluxe version as OOP already. Was there a dispute of some kind?
I am not sure I haven't heard anything, off hand. Sometimes these box sets sell out quickly.
