Nice review! Question: I believe the "introduction" kit I downloaded for free from Modiphius is different from the starter set you review here. And if so can you confirm, and do you know what the differences are between them?
I haven't read the books properly (I don’t think there is a huge difference) but there is a different and shorter adventure in the free one. As well as No maps or tokens.
I love the system it works well as a Star Trek game and I defiantly think it mirrors the show well. I personally think the character stats and creation gives a lot of devisitity to the characters
I will say, that in my opinion nothing will top the lore and gameplay of the FASA Star Trek RPG. I love that game to death. I'd love to see you review it. It has interesting lore based on the tone of TOS and the four Star Trek films released at the time. It fleshed out many things about Klingons and the greater galaxy. Presenting a tense cold war like situation. Unfortunately most of it's lore was contradicted and made non canon when The Next Generation came out. For anyone used to the way TNG portrayed Klingons, Romulans and The Federation they may be very shocked with the completely different interpretation found in FASA Trek.
Sadly, I wouldn’t anticipate any review of Fasa’s ST game in the near future. It’s been out of print since the late 80’s and isn’t readily available in the primary market. Also, I didn’t know it existed until you left this comment.
thanks, I'm a real beginner but have been toying with this for ages - really helpful!
I laughed so hard at the introduction, because that mirrors Caelia and I when she wants to watch Star Trek...
Great review

I've heard good things about the Alien RPG by Free League, so I would definitely like to see a review of that.
It’s coming soon.
@@TwoDTenthat review never came.
No lie, want to check this out now.
Sounds like fun.

Does it support committing war crimes against Cardassians?
More importantly is romulan ale illegal?
Does it support committing war crimes AS Cardassians. Despite the fact that Cardassians never commit war crimes. Because there was never any war.

@@TwoDTen the books are easy to find either second hand or as PDFs online. I can even send you my copy through email.
All I can say about this video is, at least the girl was magnificent.
