That's the penalty lap, whoever gets the penalty has to go 50 km/h through there and loses cca 5 seconds. It's good idea imo, they don't have to give drive through or stop and go for everything
If you guys want the old DTM back, open your wallets and start pouring millions of euros into it. Getting tiring to hear people whining about racing series doing their best to save money because the incomes have plummeted.
The most rollercoaster race we had an it's back to back power at Stolz Crew, Insane 3 south African vs reigning champ preining legend but it's turned nasty, Pepper defense but same time attack Marco and rast can't break much harder so the Jordan goes air because of Rast, silly stupid rule leave Vermeulen in tears first podium but he was definitely mad/sad about it lose first pole and mighty win through silly pitlane rule, KVDL back on podium could it be Redbullring sponsorship home race to put him onto Dtm throne? 🤩🍾⚡🏁🏆🎉
I want to get into the sport as a viewer but I don’t know where to start. I do know the basics to motor racing as I’ve been watching F1 since 2018. Any suggestions?
Absolutely! What parts of the sport interest you the most? IMSA and WEC are both fantastic racing series which combine GT and prototype cars, and they both post full races to youtube. My favorite GT races to watch are in IMSA, but I'm biased as an American. What is also fascinating is reading through the history of the sport, the different eras of dominance and the rivalries. Personally I've also loved watching youtube creators like SuperGT and Jimmy Broadbent for the onboard experience of simracing. If you're interested in driving, Gran Turismo on playstation or ACC on PC are great options among many others. Get a Logitech G29 or something simple and you can go. Gran Turismo 6 introduced me to racing, it's like walking through a museum and getting to drive the exhibits. Big GT races around the world: 24 hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 hours of Spa, 24 hours of Nurburgring, 12 hours of Mount Panorama, etc.
@@1997jankuschef Im specifically interested in I guess GT because the van der linde brothers are my countrymen, and I love the M4 and R8 as cars unironically.

If that was how it worked all you'd have to do to overtake was move to the inside, brake late and the leading car would never be allowed to hit the apex of any corner. Rast went where there was no room to go and his teammate paid the price. Not even rasts own team were laying the blame at the other car.

This really isn’t the DTM I grew up with. This is just GT racing. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren even Porsche, just don’t fit the idea of dtm.
Yeah :(
Came for this. The aggressive aero made DTM unique. Now it's GT2 at best. No reason to call it DTM anymore 😮💨

Worst crash of the season!
The crash: bonk

When will the full race be posted?
Rene Rast definitely on aging curve
No risk no fun. Sorry for the poor investors..... omg The cars are safer than you think
These cars are pretty cool...watch a pit stop...they have jacks built in...nasty 😂

Pepper turned in as if Rast wasn't there. Actually he moved across to try a block Rast and he paid the price. The innocent bystander was Marco sadly
