When 2en1 debut they are called "The Ugly Group" because during their debut kpop girl group standard is all about being pretty goid girls,cute or sexy female in uniform costumes. When 2ne1 debut they broke that standard they pioneered Girl Crush Concept in Kpop. They wear hiphop, wierd,high fashion,punk,couture fashion and hairstyles all together you will never know what you gonna get. Unlike other girlgroups in kpop before who have a lot of male fans because if their looks and body. 2ne1 have a lot of female fans who are inspired and empowered by them.
Like everyone is saying they will not last that long in the industry because they are ugly but guess what they broke a lot or record sales and set a new ones and also won major awards just weeks upon debut. They pioneered alot of things in kpop that is heavily dominated by boygroups that time. 2ne1 revolutionized the whole industry during their debut.

Is The OG Golden Maknae and OG Dance Machine Queen Minzy she's only 13 yrs.old at that video and slayed it. At such a young age she can outdance any idol during that time specially in freestyle hiphop and signature splits, twerk and body isolation moves. And she have an amazing stable vocals and a great rapper too. Oh also she graduated university as a Magna Cum Laude awardee. Plus she's a Boss Lady have her own dance studio.

I'm still so so angry over what has happened to her for most of her career. From getting blasted in Korea over her weight to having YG basically kill any single releases for her while in YG - to picking the absolute worst companies post 2Ne1 (CL had that problem too). (Yeah, I'm still mad at YG - did you know that there is an actual Hello Bitches mv that was almost completed - but YG killed it so that's why CL released the performance mv).
2NE1 is not a one-trick pony. Their talents, their joy in performing and their openness to different music are revealed in their songs.

Now this is true talent! They can sing any genre and are so charismatic! Have yet to see a female K-pop group that can out do them!
