The REDEMPTION Ride | 2021 Cross Country Motorcycle Trip | Part 3

- Опубліковано 25 жов 2024
- I'm calling Day 3 of the 2021 Cross Country Motorcycle Trip "The REDEMPTION Ride" for one simple reason. Those of you who followed along in 2020, know I had to have my bike trailered into Pueblo, Co due to a failed fuel pump. In 2021, my sister and I left Topeka, KS visiting Garden of the Gods along the way, and I made it into Pueblo under the bike's own power this year; hence "The REDEMPTION Ride." Hope you enjoy it!

Another great video! I am blessed living and riding in the Pacific Northwest! So many great roads, great scenery and great people from the west coast to the Black Hills. These videos get me through the dreary winter and make me chomp at the bit to plan my next trip! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but I thought you might want to know I really enjoy your travel videos! The music, the roads/highways, the drone shots, everything. Thanks for sharing them!
1) Thanks for the kinds comments and 2) Thanks for taking the time to post a comment; means a lot.
Somehow you make the flattest roads in America seem interesting . Enjoy the trip!
Appreciate it! That's probably the best compliment I can receive.
Since I live in the Midwest going west is a 1000 miles of boring, before you get to the good roads . However once you get to the good roads you forget about the flat crappy parts. We as motorcyclist enjoy cool roads with cool scenery. Always remember, The only bad motorcycle trip is the one you don't come home from.
agreed
Another great on Mario! That garden of the gods shot on the drone was epic. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks Ebon!
Excellent videos as always. Lots of road time. I enjoy you guys as much as Itchy Boots...keep up the great work
Thanks!
Nice job Mario. Loved the drone vids of the Garden of the Gods.
Thanks Andrew
Another great video.... I'm a bit late seeing it, but trying to catch up. The up coming areas of Colorado and beyond are my favorite rides.... always beautiful and something new to see. Continued safe travels.
Thanks Pierre, you've got plenty to catch up on.
If you want a picture with the real Dorothy, her house is at the bottom of Kansas in Liberal. Munchkins and presidents have visited the museum there. A little way north of there is Dodge City where Marshall Dillon and Festus kept the law (at least on TV).
Appreciate the info
I liked those Seneca Rocks in Colorado Garden of the Gods.
Great video, I am really enjoying this series!
Thank you!
Going west out of Pueblo not far past the last traffic light, maybe a mile, is a "hog back" one lane and one way road on top of a pretty tall, narrow rock formation. There's dinosaur foot prints on top. It's paved all the way. Comes out back in Pueblo. About a 2 mile ride, if you're ever back there.
Salina, KS is my hometown. I hope everyone was nice to you. Also, loved the line "this room doesn't smell like gasoline" as you entered your room. You also re-discovered the unusual reality that the Eastern part of "Colorful" Colorado looks exactly like Kansas, just with worse roads.
Mere, I hope at least a few people got the "gasoline smell" reference. Everyone in KS was super friendly. I still remember the first time I got to Colorado and thought "damn place looks the same as Kansas...WTF?"
@@2WR I do hope you enjoyed the more colorful Flint Hills in Eastern Kansas, until you reached my hometown and cliche Kansas began.
Great Video thanks for Posting ☺️
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the ride and great video. Merry Christmas to you and your sister
Thanks Jim! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well
Great job. highlights: wizard of oz characters, Angela's bike stall (we've all done it in some fashion), the GoG drone footage. merry Christmas, and let the good times roll...
Merry Christmas!
Awesome!! You are redeemed! Thanks guys. All the best from CANADA and Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!
Garden of the Gods is on my list of places to visit on 2 wheels!
It's cool as hell to see in person
Nothing like a bit of highway hypnosis and missing the exit, eh? Such exciting scenery going across Kansas. I actually started to fall asleep on the bike once, going across I10 in southern NM, but that was after riding all night coming out of LA. Pulled into a rest area, put the bike up on the centerstand, laid back on the seat and closed my eyes for a bit of rest, opened them and found the sun had moved quite a bit! The things you get away with when you're young and don't know better (I'd just turned 21)! After that trip I worked with a guy who tried to tell me it never gets cold in the desert; I told him to ride a bike through Wilcox, AZ around 5am in early Nov. and then tell me it isn't cold! Nice drone footage, haven't been to Garden of the Gods myself.
Last time I went thru Garden of the Gods, I had a black bear run in front of me.
Well, that's different! I've seen a "bear crossing" sign (on US58 near Lover's Leap, southern VA), and saw one go tearing through the trees while on Skyline Drive one night, but never saw one while on a bike!
Nice Trip, nice editing.
Thanks!
Love the drone shots 👍🏽 redemption trip is good so far, but something's are the same like your sister forgetting clutch 🤣🤣 happy holidays to you and your family 🙏🏽✌🏾
That's not a drone video. It's a video taken on a very long selfie-stick and recorded for personal use only.
😂😂
Thanks Carl
Enjoying the series, Merry Christmas! Did you see many LEO’s going across the flat land?
Thanks John and I don't remember seeing hardly any.
That was some truly awesome drone footage!!! I really liked all the ride you shared, because I've never seen any of it . Thanks
Merry Christmas
Thanks James and Merry Christmas!
I love living in the East but what sucks is if you want to ride out West you have to go through the Mid West. Thank God for the Tin Man, and the absence of gas fumes in the hotel room.
LOL, I figured a few would get the reference to the gas fumes
Great footage. I need to get out west soon!
You should!
fantastic, Love your videos. fwiw I cary a spare fuel pump on all my KTM's ...lmao, my Dad always said " there's no experience like a bad one..."
Ever since then, I've been carrying a spare on mine as well. Fortunately, the 990 and 1290 use the same pump.
This trip is shaping up to be a great one! Btw- your editing skills are getting pretty sharp!
Appreciate it! We definitely get into some fun riding in the next few parts
Haha know that bum feeling where you have to stand to give the backside a rest, KTM seats not the softest, how high can your drone go? the drone footage was great, see you on day 4,
I think 1500ft is the max
Salina is pronounced Sa-line-ah. You went right through the area I live in.
Good vid thanks. Be great if KS (& NE) went Autobahn style 😃
Thanks and year...the quicker to get thru, the better
Which Garmin GPS unit are you using on your bike?
Zumo XT
@@2WR Thanks! I was looking to buy one. Having one with integrated weather would be great
I do like having the weather integrated (cell signal needed). I plan to get a review video shot/edited soon. While I had some initial complaints...it is a great unit for motorcyclists.
Killer
Great series. More of your sister less of you please.
