Indeed he is a minor, and one that has provided the bellringing community with many great videos... I was always taught that if a young lad has a keen interest in something, whether it be Photography or Bellringing he should be allow to pursue it with lots of encouragement.... besides you can hear the bells hear, so what difference does it make if the vid is jerky...... who wants to watch a load of ropes shooting through holes in the ceiling??????
ProfMoose - I do hope the reply was intended for bellminsterboy's comment and not mine!!! It's great to hear the bells - that is the main reason most of us post ringing vids after all - but always good to have the visuals wherever possible.... Not preplanning? I'm not sure what you mean... My main point is to try and stop randomly swinging the camera round and to try and focus it a little more, and that is a helpful criticism rather than a rude comment!!!
... Really need a very wide lens but they are very expensive so we do the best we can and keep trying to do better. I like My original comment was @ YesYouKnowYourStuff. I like bellminsterboy's vids and yours. Yes it's good if you don't wave the camera about but really this isn't the worst example on YT and it's sometimes fun to spot people you know. This should be about friends sharing experiences and tips not putting up with insults from the likes of YYKYS :-)
What an incredibly rude man! OK your videos might not be spot on perfect but you are young and have time to learn. Half of the problem is not pre-planing but how you do that on an outing I don't know. You will get better with experience and as Arron says "who wants to watch a load of ropes shooting through holes in the ceiling?" I want to hear the bells - good visuals is a bonus! You are putting bells and bellringing out in the public domain - Good job Don't stop
Jack - see my private message RE. cutting out the jerkiness from the vids I am afraid I have to agree somewhat with "Del-boy" as they are very jerky and give me seasickness!! I wouldnt go as far to call them crap, just a bit of editing (trust me, it is drop-dead easy to do on YT!!) should do the trick Keep the vids coming and ignore most of what delboy has said. He needs to learn to keep his foul trap shut Simon
