Try curving your index finger ever so slightly, and use the side of your finger instead of the full on palm side. It gives you a little extra reach with your middle, ring, and pinky fingers. Hope that helps. Best of luck on your ukulele journey.
In my opinion, it’s definitely easier to bar chords on a soprano, especially for me because that’s what I’m used to playing (I play my brother’s tenor sometimes), but i think as long as you practice a lot, it will become easier.

Hello. I had a dear friend pass away over the summer. He was a beautiful person and musician. He loved it when I sang the song "Where's My Love" by SYML. Can you please make a tutorial to this song? I've never played an instrument, but I am learning how to play Ukulele, just so I can play "Where's My Love" and sing it at the last place he and I were together (and the last time I sang that song to him). It would mean more than I could ever put into words. Regardless, thank you so much for all you do.
Hello sir, Thanks for the amazing tutorial. I am trying to learn this and the thing I am struggling the most with is holding the ukulele while I jump from that 4th fret to the first and then back. I have tried different ways to hold it, looked for tutorials, tried even to steal your way by playing the video several times but it just looks like witchcraft to me the way your neck stays up while your hand travels up and down. Could you spare a tip for us?
