As expected and par for the course in the early Fall, just like Spring time, the shift from Hot to Cold and Cold to Hot stirs up these major storm systems like clockwork, the ancient people's all over the world worshiped Nature and performed rituals every year based upon how perfectly it all works. When the winter Solstice, Summer Solstice and Spring and Fall equinoxes, were all the most prominent because of they represented the key phase shifts in the yearly cycle of life, death and rebirth.

Shows bull's eye of winter storm in eastern Montana/Western N Dakota: "This won't be just a high-elevation storm." Ryan, I love your channel and I get what you're saying, but there's no "high elevation' anywhere near that area; that's the high plains, and it's FLAT. Also VERY lightly populated, for the most part, so the folks who do live there probably know how to deal with that kind of weather.

But didn't the storm start out already hitting Colorado & Utah mountains? So he's simply saying this storm didn't only affect those mountain regions it will affect those high plains, too. You forget people watch from around the WORLD and some people don't experience such weather so they learn about it from videos like this. There are also people who get transplanted in new areas. People from the north come to the south and assume driving in our snow is the same and it's nowhere near such.

Ryan, could you explain (in simplest terms) the release of "latent heat"and its role in the convection/updrafts in building anvil headed thunderstorms.

Brilliant as always. Thank you Ryan. Aside from that, I'm still interested in these videos on UA-cam. I still like these videos and weather reports around the world not just here in the USA, though I won't get into anything personal, just to make it easier for me in my "season of singleness". I appreciate the comments, my only regret is not subscribing to this channel or the "Weather Watch NZ" channel on UA-cam sooner than later ☺⛪.
