oh, man. i thought i’d look you guys up again, after i thought of you all (while actually at Harry Potter World today, haha!) and while I can’t say i’m not heartbroken to hear this news, i truly do understand. your channel was such a large part of my life. i remember watching your drarry skits at age 12 after school, and now i’m 18. i got into the fandom, and especially your content, after a particularly traumatic point in my life, and you guys managed to provide a distraction i desperately needed to get through that. you also managed to help me find my own identity as a non-cis individual, even at such a young age. your channel will forever hold such a special place in my heart for those reasons, and i’ll forever love it- even if this is “the end”. i’ll miss your guys’ videos, but i’m glad you aren’t forcing yourselves to do something you don’t want to do. i’ll continue to support you all endlessly
It’s funny, I was just last night thinking about casting moon shadows. Thank you for all the great work you’ve done over the years. Engaging with HP fan works during my teens was the major thing that helped me understand myself as a queer person today. I’m very proud of you all for continuing during that time when a lot of people were struggling with how to distance themselves from HP. It provided a good transition for me. The fact that you were creating such defiantly queer and specifically trans stories and educating so many kids was what I would call Good Mischief. You make a lot of queer people feel loved
For whatever reason, I missed this video when it came out, and am just finding this now. Had exactly the same struggle. I tried to keep the love for the queer HP fics that I have loved even after I sold my HP themed merch 2nd hand (for trans charities) I wanted to keep the good memories separate from the author - after all I read old books from authors who you know weren't great people, but in the end because her views and her cultural impact is just everywhere i got to a point where I just had to take the books off the shelf. I replaced them with my cadfael collection that I have loved even longer and has never had cause to make me unhappy the way JKR has. I loved squad and the marauders and think your work was fabulous but yeah I totally get it and have stepped away too. Lovely to see you both though am glad you are doing well xxx

During tuff times I would watch your guys videos and I would laugh and cry as you guys put a lot of effort in your videos and feeling which made it real. I was put in the hospital because I got lupus and 4 other rare immune disorders and blood clouting disorder but during that time I watch your videos which made my miserable stay feel better I watch your videos since I was 11 and now I'm 16 I hope you guys do well and I hope everyone in Mischief Managers do well and have a great life. I feel like I'm almost listening to myself talking here with you guys. For an example I'm big into art. I love drawing mainly urban style art. Graffiti and character design just that sort of thing and we'll I'm 23 now and I've been doing that since I was probably 9 if I had to guess. But 2 years ago I hit almost a brick wall. It had got to a stage where its like people where demanding me to draw stuff and that just kind of took all the creativity and love for it out. And I just gave up. That was also during my time in college which I felt. Well very lonely, and it's hard to be enthusiastic when alone I'm sure more of us have here too. And even though as I said that's a very different scenario to you guys, I almost understand the stepping away. Once new ideas are there they just happen (I could be rambling at this point forgive me😂) But even though I'm sad as you guys said your all friends at the end of the day and want to live your life's. And everything does come to an end someday and I guess that time for this has. But its been fun, kind of, "end of an era" you could say. But it's been a lot of fun and enjoyment and I wish you guys all well on wherever life takes you next😁

I discovered this channel in 2020, my final year of high school, and my first year of actually starting to come out as non binary. Your videos gave me a lot of comfort as someone struggling socially, academically and all the rest that comes with school during a pandemic. Thank you for what you’ve put into the fandom. HP has always been a comfort to me, when I was 12 and an awkward kid with few friends, and as a young adult, also with few friends. Anyway, I could write a whole essay about how your channel helped me during a very difficult time in my life and how I think about the fandom

As another trans person, just one a lot more early in his transition, I feel the whole part about JK and HP a lot. For a while I stuck to the fandom, writing my silly little fanfictions, making them queer and trans and trying to be better and more inclusive and it was nice, they helped me through a lot, including parts of the pandemic, but the more time has passed and the more JK has continued to spread her hatred, the less joy I have gotten out of the fandom as a whole. I've decided to stop writing in that particular fandom now, and it breaks my heart in a way, and I'm upset that she managed to take something from that was so important to me for so long, but I just can't do it anymore. It's all gotten a bitter aftertaste thanks to her bigotry and hatred, not just against trans people, but against so many minorities. I hope you have wonderful times with your friends without the stress of recording and thank you so much for the joy your content gave me, even if I've discovered it relatively late. It meant a lot to me while it lasted and it will always have a special place in my heart

I'm a bit sad because I discovered this Chanel a few months ago. I wish I had seen this years ago, but I only started believing in myself and my sexuality a year ago. Then I found the queer Harry Potter fanbase and started writing my own queer fanfiction, which helped me a lot to find my own sexuality. I still have a lot of trouble with that, but videos like this make me feel better. Luckily I still have a lot of videos from you that I can watch. But I'm glad you're doing well. Thank you for not deleting your videos. In the last year a lot of Harry Potter fan work has been removed and for valid reasons. As someone who found a home and forever friends through the fandom, it breaks me. The tattoo's I choose to cover my sh scars were different things taken out of the HP books. Sometimes when I look at them now I feel worse then I did before :/ This whole thing has been hard, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ it's personally devastating. But you've helped give a lot of closure. I've watched you guys for a long time. I'm 23 now and I suppose there's a lot of chapters closing, but you've helped me not self hate so much with not wanting to close my HP one. I have been subscribed to your channel since basically the beginning so I was like 10 or 11 when I started watching you guys, the age when I started obsessing with Harry Potter. As a kid, I didn't realize that I was queer and I was able to see representation of being LGBTQ+ through your videos and it really did help me try and figure out who I was. Now that I'm 18, I can't say I've completely figured out who I am yet, but, I'm proud to say that I'm nonbinary and abrosexual, and I just wanted to say thank you for helping me in the beginning and I guess being my first queer teachers? I would say? But yeah idk since it's been a year since you guys last posted, I just really really wanted to show my gratitude and sadly I have no other outlet to do so, other than through my small way in a UA-cam comment. Christoffer (with whom I was so so privileged enough to see their transition in real time when I was younger, on their, I think now deleted channel, and it genuinely helped me so much), playing Teddy and showing how Ted could possibly be genderfluid and how his metamorphagus powers played a part in that and seeing Robin confident in wearing feminine clothing, it just gave me so much happiness and joy to see that when most of everything in my life is so so so different than this idealistic fantasy I have, that's basically this wonderful world you've shown me❤❤❤ I can't say thank you enough. I will obviously miss this channel since it was a gigantic staple of my adolescence, but I completely understand why you'd need to step back from it, and I hope your future projects and plans go your way and I wish you all the success in your lives. Well, it saddens me a lot bc your videos were such comfort and happiness especially throughout the pandemic. I loved the stories and your videos were somenthing that i was looking for everyday - being excited about the ships and cute moments or just you having fun in general gave me as i said so much comfort. It really pains me that this journey is ending, but obviously i understand the reasons you have that go against content creation and i wish you happiness in your lives

I began watching y'all in 2017, and continue to think about this channel a lot. While I - as a trans person - have distanced myself from Harry Potter, your videos still remain some of the most comforting, with very fond memories attached. I think all I want to say is thank you for creating this space where all were welcome, and where I, and I'm sure many others, have felt seen, and like we had somewhere we belonged. I'm sad that this is an end, but I'm so happy to see you all do so well, and prioritising your friendships and lives over, essentially, work. I've missed you a lot, and rewatched your content quite often during and even before your hiatus. But, life happens sometimes, and as adult persons with adult responsibilities it's understandably difficult to find time to create new content, and due to the pandemic and its restrictions it's even harder to keep meeting up. Then there's She-Who-Should-Not-Be-Tweeting, and it's so fluffed up that her actions have ruined this wonderful magical world for so many people. I still read and enjoy fanfiction and other fan made content, but try to separate her and her work, and support her as little as possible. Tbh I haven't read the books or watched the movies in years, even before her transphobic tweets, because the lack of representation in the books and movies. I'm happy to hear from you and how you're doing and I'm sad that you aren't making new content anymore (tho I suspected it'll happen when you announced the hiatus).
Thank you for not deleting your old videos! I love them so much and theyve inspired me in my own stories and fanfictions. You guys were a big part of my life and my love for harry potter. Thank you for being a safe part of a fandom that has started to become so toxic. Im glad youre not pushing yourself to create content. You all deserve so much!❤

your channel was such a large part of my life. i remember watching your drarry skits at age 12 after school, and now i’m 18. i got into the fandom, and especially your content, after a particularly traumatic point in my life, and you guys managed to provide a distraction i desperately needed to get through that. you also managed to help me find my own identity as a non-cis individual, even at such a young age. your channel will forever hold such a special place in my heart for those reasons, and i’ll forever love it- even if this is “the end”.

It’s funny, I was just last night thinking about casting moon shadows. Thank you for all the great work you’ve done over the years. Engaging with HP fan works during my teens was the major thing that helped me understand myself as a queer person today. I’m very proud of you all for continuing during that time when a lot of people were struggling with how to distance themselves from HP. It provided a good transition for me. The fact that you were creating such defiantly queer and specifically trans stories and educating so many kids was what I would call Good Mischief. You make a lot of queer people feel loved

Had exactly the same struggle. I tried to keep the love for the queer HP fics that I have loved even after I sold my HP themed merch 2nd hand (for trans charities) I wanted to keep the good memories separate from the author - after all I read old books from authors who you know weren't great people, but in the end because her views and her cultural impact is just everywhere i got to a point where I just had to take the books off the shelf. I replaced them with my cadfael collection that I have loved even longer and has never had cause to make me unhappy the way JKR has.
I loved squad and the marauders and think your work was fabulous but yeah I totally get it and have stepped away too. Lovely to see you both though am glad you are doing well xxx

During tuff times I would watch your guys videos and I would laugh and cry as you guys put a lot of effort in your videos and feeling which made it real. I was put in the hospital because I got lupus and 4 other rare immune disorders and blood clouting disorder but during that time I watch your videos which made my miserable stay feel better I watch your videos since I was 11 and now I'm 16 I hope you guys do well and I hope everyone in Mischief Managers do well and have a great life. I feel like I'm almost listening to myself talking here with you guys.
For an example I'm big into art. I love drawing mainly urban style art. Graffiti and character design just that sort of thing and we'll I'm 23 now and I've been doing that since I was probably 9 if I had to guess. But 2 years ago I hit almost a brick wall. It had got to a stage where its like people where demanding me to draw stuff and that just kind of took all the creativity and love for it out. And I just gave up. That was also during my time in college which I felt. Well very lonely, and it's hard to be enthusiastic when alone I'm sure more of us have here too.
And even though as I said that's a very different scenario to you guys, I almost understand the stepping away. Once new ideas are there they just happen (I could be rambling at this point forgive me😂)
But even though I'm sad as you guys said your all friends at the end of the day and want to live your life's. And everything does come to an end someday and I guess that time for this has. But its been fun, kind of, "end of an era" you could say. But it's been a lot of fun and enjoyment and I wish you guys all well on wherever life takes you next😁

thank you so much for creating all of your amazing content! your videos have always brought me great comfort and helped me through a time where i was having a hard time with school, fitting in, depression and my gender and sexual identity! after one point - especially after jkr made it so very obvious she wasn't going to even try to change her views and the way she spoke about trans people - i started considering your version of the universe canon! because 1) it's more comforting, it doesn't make me feel bad for consuming the content and has proper representation and 2) let's face it it's better! i want wolfstar being together during school, i like seeing that peter was actually just a normal and nice guy once and james's development to become the amazing hero we love, i like seeing more of the pressure draco was put under but also being held accountable for acting the way he did and TEDDY, you do not understand how happy i was when you took someone who was already one of my favourite characters and made them the perfect representation for me - hufflepuff, gender-fluid, sensitive and active about human rights whether it be for queer people or werewolves, i just overall absolutely love them!

I discovered this channel in 2020, my final year of high school, and my first year of actually starting to come out as non binary. Your videos gave me a lot of comfort as someone struggling socially, academically and all the rest that comes with school during a pandemic. Thank you for what you’ve put into the fandom. HP has always been a comfort to me, when I was 12 and an awkward kid with few friends, and as a young adult, also with few friends. As another trans person, just one a lot more early in his transition, I feel the whole part about JK and HP a lot.
For a while I stuck to the fandom, writing my silly little fanfictions, making them queer and trans and trying to be better and more inclusive and it was nice, they helped me through a lot, including parts of the pandemic, but the more time has passed and the more JK has continued to spread her hatred, the less joy I have gotten out of the fandom as a whole.
I've decided to stop writing in that particular fandom now, and it breaks my heart in a way, and I'm upset that she managed to take something from that was so important to me for so long, but I just can't do it anymore. It's all gotten a bitter aftertaste thanks to her bigotry and hatred, not just against trans people, but against so many minorities.
I hope you have wonderful times with your friends without the stress of recording and thank you so much for the joy your content gave me, even if I've discovered it relatively late. It meant a lot to me while it lasted and it will always have a special place in my heart

I'm a bit sad because I discovered this Chanel a few months ago. I wish I had seen this years ago, but I only started believing in myself and my sexuality a year ago. Then I found the queer Harry Potter fanbase and started writing my own queer fanfiction, which helped me a lot to find my own sexuality. I also only watched the movies once and I never really gotten into the books. I never felt instrested. The movies were amazing ofc but I liked reading the fanfics and watching stuff like your channel presents. Idk why, I think it’s from WHAT is being shown towards me and stuff.

I have personally stopped buying Harry Potter merch from witch I know a part of the money will go to she who must not be named. During the pandemic I have discovered my own gender and sexuality. I also have made trans friends and that still plays a big role in what I’m going to do, Like I don’t have the series completely in English yet but don’t want to give HER more money. I wish you and everyone in this fandom all the best and do what you feel good whit.

Thank you for not deleting your videos. In the last year a lot of Harry Potter fan work has been removed and for valid reasons. As someone who found a home and forever friends through the fandom, it breaks me. The tattoo's I choose to cover my sh scars were different things taken out of the HP books. Sometimes when I look at them now I feel worse then I did before :/ This whole thing has been hard, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ it's personally devastating. But you've helped give a lot of closure. I've watched you guys for a long time. I'm 23 now and I suppose there's a lot of chapters closing, but you've helped me not self hate so much with not wanting to close my HP one. I love you guys, I've loved watching you grow and can't wait to hear about the change you further continue to make in the world! Mischief Managed
It’s about the community and what we’ve made as a fandom rather than the creator. As long as you don’t support the creator in any way. Some people buy the books that are like pre-bought/second hand so no money is sent to the creator

I’ll miss your stories, but I also understand that life moves on, and when you also have a problem within that thing that you’re already struggling to find time/inspiration to do, it can be best to just step back. You supplied us with plenty of content (which I hope? You’ll leave up?) that we can rewatch and still enjoy.
Also, thank you for the fact that you’re going to do the “what would have happened” explanation. So many shows are cancelled and we don’t get an explanation as to where it would’ve gone and it’s frustrating - and with this basically being a “cancelled show”, I’m glad to get to know what else you guys had planned.
No matter what, I’m glad to have come across you guys because it’s made me discover things, it’s given me new ships, and it’s also just been a source to make me smile.

I have been subscribed to your channel since basically the beginning so I was like 10 or 11 when I started watching you guys, the age when I started obsessing with Harry Potter. As a kid, I didn't realize that I was queer and I was able to see representation of being LGBTQ+ through your videos and it really did help me try and figure out who I was. Now that I'm 18, I can't say I've completely figured out who I am yet, but, I'm proud to say that I'm nonbinary and abrosexual, and I just wanted to say thank you for helping me in the beginning and I guess being my first queer teachers? I would say? But yeah idk since it's been a year since you guys last posted, I just really really wanted to show my gratitude and sadly I have no other outlet to do so, other than through my small way in a UA-cam comment.
Christoffer (with whom I was so so privileged enough to see their transition in real time when I was younger, on their, I think now deleted channel, and it genuinely helped me so much), playing Teddy and showing how Ted could possibly be genderfluid and how his metamorphagus powers played a part in that and seeing Robin confident in wearing feminine clothing, it just gave me so much happiness and joy to see that when most of everything in my life is so so so different than this idealistic fantasy I have, that's basically this wonderful world you've shown me❤❤❤
I can't say thank you enough. I will obviously miss this channel since it was a gigantic staple of my adolescence, but I completely understand why you'd need to step back from it, and I hope your future projects and plans go your way and I wish you all the success in your lives.

Well, it saddens me a lot bc your videos were such comfort and happiness especially throughout the pandemic. I loved the stories and your videos were somenthing that i was looking for everyday - being excited about the ships and cute moments or just you having fun in general gave me as i said so much comfort. It really pains me that this journey is ending, but obviously i understand the reasons you have that go against content creation and i wish you happiness in your lives

I began watching y'all in 2017, and continue to think about this channel a lot. While I - as a trans person - have distanced myself from Harry Potter, your videos still remain some of the most comforting, with very fond memories attached. I think all I want to say is thank you for creating this space where all were welcome, and where I, and I'm sure many others, have felt seen, and like we had somewhere we belonged.
I'm sad that this is an end, but I'm so happy to see you all do so well, and prioritising your friendships and lives over, essentially, work. I'm so glad I got to be a part of something so special, so thank you for everything

I've missed you a lot, and rewatched your content quite often during and even before your hiatus. But, life happens sometimes, and as adult persons with adult responsibilities it's understandably difficult to find time to create new content, and due to the pandemic and its restrictions it's even harder to keep meeting up.
Then there's She-Who-Should-Not-Be-Tweeting, and it's so fluffed up that her actions have ruined this wonderful magical world for so many people. I still read and enjoy fanfiction and other fan made content, but try to separate her and her work, and support her as little as possible. Tbh I haven't read the books or watched the movies in years, even before her transphobic tweets, because the lack of representation in the books and movies.
I'm happy to hear from you and how you're doing and I'm sad that you aren't making new content anymore (tho I suspected it'll happen when you announced the hiatus).
Thank you for not deleting your old videos! I love them so much and theyve inspired me in my own stories and fanfictions. You guys were a big part of my life and my love for harry potter.
