We all as born again believers in Christ will feel the struggle between our sinful nature and our new nature in Christ. Before, when we were dead in our sins, we followed our sinful nature, there was no struggle. Thanks and praise to Christ who will ultimately save us from this corrupt body we live in and will one day in his glory be clothed in a righteous holy body that Christ will give us.

I did a foolish thing & read the comments. JM is spot on as is Paul's letter. Meanwhile, true Christian's press on perfecting holiness living to God as slaves for righteousness. That doesn't sound so fun for today's liberal progressive church or those that try to conform God into their image.
If there is one thing I have learned is that is the hardest thing to get along with many Christian's & easier to get along with unbelievers. Many so called Christian's are self professed lone wolfs on that broad road that leads to the wide gate of destruction.
The hardest thing today is to love your brother as is commanded. There are some serious fruit loops out there that can't be dealt with whether true believers or fake. Surely an obsticle and excuse created by Satan his own famed self for unbelievers to stay away from the gospel & church

If you hate your sin, it's a great reminder that you are God's child because God hates sin and He lives in the born again believer. This was a wonderful message that all God's people need to hear regularly. Read your Bibles and pray for strength. Resist the devil and he will flee. We're all in this together until our Lord Jesus Christ takes us home. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen.

Guys I say this as a person still struggling with doing things I don’t want to do. While we are in this physical body (our flesh) we will always struggle with sin. The victory isn’t that our physical body overcomes sin 100% of the time, but our victory comes from Jesus’ death and resurrection that has given us a new nature. So praise God you have this internal struggle but don’t disappoint yourself thinking we’ll overcome all sin in our physical life. It’s the process of sanctification. The longer you live as a born again believer in Jesus Christ than you should sin less physically but again, our corrupt body won’t stop sinning completely until it’s rotting in the grave where it belongs. Sanctification is definitely not an over night thing. It’s a life long process and when you do overcome one sin, God will make it apparent it’s time to sanctify another in your life. I’m just speaking from experience and feeling the same way Paul felt. It’s not me doing this, but sin in me.

I battle with my fleshly sin everyday and it is a constant and painful struggle. I win some and lose some. About a week ago, out of frustration, I angrily prayed and asked my Father why was it so? Why did He not take the sin away from me and makes me a better person? Why does it need to be painful every day? Then I found this video.... now I have peace and I feel His Love and Grace.

Regarding your "being sifted by Satan", I wish to say that the spiritual realm felt very real to me and I personally had had absolutely terrifying encounter with the dark side. But I also learn that if you are being attacked, that is because you are on the right path to the narrow gate (which attracts the attack). So....congrats ;)

It is important that what you regard as repentance is what God calls repentance in the Bible. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation.

      The scripture is clear:
      1 John 3:6-10
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
      ------------------------------------------------------
If you are sinless then you doeth righteousness and also love your brother.
If you are not sinless then you doeth not righteousness and neither do you love your brother.
Are you going yo deny, reject, change and twist the scripture to fit your own lifestyle?
Yes, I am sinless for the moment.
As long as I am not committing sin then I am sinless.
If I have been cleansed from all sin and from all unrighteousness, then what sins and unrighteousness remains in your life? Zero sin, right?

Without doubt one of the greatest assurances a born again believer has is the sure knowledge that the struggles will one day be over. And Oh what peace and joy awaits - peace and joy we glimpse and taste in this life .The complete redemption of the body is a New Covenant certainty. The Lord seldom 'takes things away ' but rather teaches us to PERSEVERE. This is the mark of a Holy Spirit indwelt person. We stumble. We get up. We gaze too often inwards. Then we look up to Jesus Christ ' The Righteous One ' by whose faithfulness we run the race.. Christian people , ' Who will rescue me from this body which is taking me to death . Thanks be to God who DOES IT IN JESUS CHRIST '.

In Romans 7, Paul recounted his struggles under the Law while still seeking a deliverance, which he found in Jesus. In Romans 7:14 he clearly identified himself as being in bondage to sin (compare to John 8:34), so he is not talking of his experience as a born again or saved person, a "new creature in Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:17) so to speak.
So, Romans 7 should never be used to explain that a Christian is continuing to live in sin. That's ignoring the foundation for the Christian life laid out in all of Romans 6, and missing the transition from Romans 7 to Romans 8:1 where the apostle Paul speaks of being in Christ Jesus and under no condemnation, not walking according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Only then is he talking of his life as a Christian, having been delivered from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). That is the exact opposite of the situation in Romans 7:23 where he spoke about being in captivity to the law of sin working in his members.
Romans 7:14-25 is about the apostle Paul's experience when he was still bound in sin and seeking a deliverance. He did find his deliverance / salvation / freedom from sin in Jesus (John 8:31-36, Romans 6:7, 18).
      1 Peter 2:21-25
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, 2 who “committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth.” 23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously; 24 who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, *that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness;* by whose wounds you were healed. 25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

      Romans 7 explained :
(1.) The woman is the church ; which is Israel , the only nation to have made a covenant with the Father ; and the husband is the mediator/protector/HUSBAND , for the people ( Israel , which is the church ) , in the covenant with the Father .
(2.) The Israelites who refused to live by faith ( That is repenting of their sins with a sorrowful heart , like king David did ; then believing by keeping the commandments of their mediator Moses ; which he received from the Father ; which is the law of faith ) , these fell under their mediator ( Moses ) protection ; under the sin sacrifice of atonement ; which the Father gave through a priesthood ( Leviticus ) , the law of animal sacrifice ; which is the law of works .
(3.) So then if , while her husband ( Moses ) liveth , she be married to another man , she shall be called an adulteress ; but if her husband ( Moses ) be dead ( Hebrews 7:11-12 ," If therefore prefection were by the Levitical priesthood , ( for under it the people received the law , ) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec , and not be called after the order of Aaron ? For the priesthood being changed , there is made of necessity a cange also in the law " ) , she is free from that law ( law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision made by hands ; the priests of Leviticus ) ; so that she is no adulteress , though she be married to another man ( Jesus Christ ) .
(4.) Wherefore , my brethren , ye also are become dead to the law ( animal sacrifice and oblations for atonement ) by the body of Christ ( repenting of your sins , and believing by obedience , the law of faith ) , even to him who is raised from the dead , that we should bring forth fruit unto God ( 2 John 1-6 , " 1.The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;2For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.3Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.4I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.5And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. ) .
(5.) For when we were in the flesh ( law of works , or law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh for sin through the priesthood of Leviticus ) , the motions of sins ( 1 John3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) , which were by the law ( Hebrews 10:1-4 , " 1.For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.2For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.3But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ) , did work in our members ( flesh ) to bring forth fruit unto death .
(6.) But now we are delivered from the law ( law of works , or law of animal sacrifice ; which was also called the law of sin and death ) , that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit ( circumcised of heart for sin ) , and not in the oldness of the letter ( law of works , or circumcision of flesh for sin , through the priests , in the book of Leviticus ) .
(7.) What shall we say then ? Is the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) ? God forbid . Nay , I had not known sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) , but by the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) : for I had not known lust , except the law ( law of animal sacrifice or the law of sin and death ) had said , Thou shalt not covet ( Romans 3:20 , Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight : for by the law is the knowledge of sin ; Hebrews 10:1-4 , " 1. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
      2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
      3. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
      4. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
      ) .
(8.) But sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) , taking occasion by the commandment ( law of animal sacrifice , or another name is ; the law of sin and death ) wrought in me all manner of concupiscence ( Romans 5:20 , " Moreover the law entered , that the offence might abound . But where sin abounded , grace did much more abound " ) . For without the law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) sin ( 1 Joh 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) was dead ( Romans 5:13, " For until the law ( law off animal sacrifice ) sin ( the transgression of the law of God ) was in the world ( which entered into the world when Adam transgressed against the law of God ) : but sin ( the transgression of the law of God ) is not imputed ( represents something undersirable as been done , caused or possessed by someone ) when there is no law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) . What Paul is saying : Before the law of animal sacrifice was given through the mediator Moses for the sin of the flesh/body , the God of Israel required all to repent with a sorrowful heart , like king David did , through faith ; remember , grace by faith ; the priesthood of faith ( Melchisedec ) has always been available from the beginning , for the one's who live by faith . There is no grace or mercy through the law of animal sacrifice ,and some transgressions against the laws of the Father , there were no sacrifice to protect the flesh/body ( man picking up sticks on the sabbath day ) .

( 9.) For I was alive without the law once : ( law of animal sacrifice , or schoolmaster ) but when the commandment came ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) , sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) revived , and I died ( Ezekiel 20:24-25 , " Because they had not executed my judgments , but had despised my statutes , and had polluted my sabbaths , and their eyes were after their father's idols . Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good , and judgments whereby they should not live " ) . And the commandment ( circumcision of the flesh/body for sin , or the law of animal sacrifice ) which was ordained to life ( keep the earthly tabernacle or body alive ) , I found to be unto death ( law of animal sacrifice could not forgive you of the heart/spirit , or the second tabernacle , or the second death ) .
( 10.) For sin ( 1 John 3:4 ,the transgressions of the law of God ) taking occasion by the commandment ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) , deceived me , and slew me ( most of Israel believed that salvation came through the law of animal sacrifice , or the law of works , or another name was the law of Moses ; because Moses was the intercessor , or husband for the people under the covenant with the Father , through the priesthood of Leviticus ) .
(11.) Wherefore the law ( animal sacrifice and oblations , or law of works ) is holy , and the commandments ( schoolmaster , or animal sacrifice ) holy , and just and good .
( 12.) Was then that which is good ( law of animal sacrifice or circumcision of flesh for sin ) made death unto me ( this sacrifice or atonement was for the earthly tabernacle , not th heavenly tabernacle ) ? God forbid . But sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) , that it might appear sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) ,working death in me by that which is good ( Hebrews 10:4 , " For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins " ; which the law of animal sacrifice was also called the law of sin and death . Once you transgress the laws of God , your circumcision is made uncircumcision , Romans 2:25 ) ; that sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the laws of God ) by thecommandment ( law of animal sacrifice ) might become exceeding sinful ( Romans 5:20 ) .
( 13.) For we know that the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) is spiritual : but I am carnal sold under sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) . For that which I do I allow not :for what I would , that do I not ; but what I hate , that do I ( What Paul is saying , when he should keep the laws of God , that he do not ; when he go through the law of animal sacrifice for the atonement of sin , that he should not do ; but what he hate ( law of animal sacrifice ) , that do I .
( 14.) If then I do that which I would not ( make an atonement through the law of animal sacrifice ) , I consent unto the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) that it is good ( which was only for the atonement of the flesh/body , not the heart/spirit ) .
( 15.) Now then it is no more I that do it , but sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) that dwelleth in me . For I know that in me ( that is in my flesh ) dwelleth no good thing ( the circumcision of flesh for sin ) : for to will is present with me ; but how to perform that which is good I find not .
( 16.) For the good that I would I do not ( repenting by faith , the law of Christ ) : but the evil which I would not , that I do ( atonement through the law of works , or animal sacrifice ) .
( 17.) Now if I do that I would not ( atonement through the law of animal sacrifice ) , it is no more I that do it , but sin ( 1 John 3:4 , transgressions of the law of God ) that dwelleth in me ( law of animal sacrifice could not forgive you of the sins of the heart/spirit , because it was not of faith ) .
( 18.) I find the a law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) , that , when I would do good ( go through the law of animal sacrifice for the atonement ) , evil is present with me ( law of works could not free you of the sins of the heart/spirit ) .
( 19.) For I delight in the law of GOD after the inward man ( law of faith , circumcision of the heart for sin ; which means that you repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart , then believe by obeying your mediator Jesus Christ commandments ; which he received from the Father ) .
( 20.) But I see another law in my members , ( law of animal sacrifice ; which the Israel continued to use for the cleaning of the body , not for SIN ; that became unclean due to touching a dead body , etc... ) , warring against the law of the mind ( circumcision of the heart/spirit for sin , or the law of Christ , or the law of grace , or the law of liberty , or the law of righteousness , or the law of faith , etc... ) , and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) which is in my members .
( 21.) O wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the body of this death ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) ? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord ( circumcision of the heart for sin ) . So then with the mind ( The atonement of faith through Jesus Christ ) I myself serve the law of God (The commandments of the Father ; which includes all the covenants ; which are instructions to righteousness ) ; but with the flesh the law of sin ( the law of animal sacrifice for the cleaning of the flesh/body , when it become's unclean ) .
When we use the word law , understand that the bible talks of three types of laws .
      ( 1.) Laws of the Father ; which are his commandments/laws/instructions , that includes all the covenans thathe has given man from the beginning ( Adam ) to the end of the creation ( white ; throne judgment ; these are instructions for righteousness ( 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ) ;
      (2.) The law for the atonement of sin of the flesh/body , through the mediator Moses ; which was called the law of animal sacrifice and oblations through works , not of faith or the inward man ;
(3.) The law for the atonement of sin of the heart/spirit , through the mediator Jesus Christ ; which was called the law of faith ; the blood of Christ through faith ; which is to repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart , then believe by keeping the commandments of your mediator Jesus Christ ; which he received from the Father .

      Who was Paul ?
Romans 11:1 , " I say then , Hath God cast away his people ? God forbid . For I also am an Israelite , of the seed of Abraham , of the tribe of Benjamin " .
Paul is an Israelite ; and the Israelites are the only nation under the laws of the Father , because they are the only nation to have made a covenant with him .
The Gentiles are grafted into the covenant of Israel .
Because the children of Israel were breaking his covenant without repenting by faith , like king David did ; in order to not kill their flesh/body , he gave to them through their mediator/HUSBAND , Moses , the sin atonement for the flesh , or the law of animal sacrifice and oblations , under the priesthood of Leviticus .
This atonement for sin was not of faith , but of works ; which cleans the flesh/body , but not the heart/spirit .
To be a Son of the Father , you must live by faith ; which is the atonement through the mediator Jesus Christ , under the priesthood of Melchisedec : repenting of your sins with a sorrowful heart , then believing by obedience ; which means to start keeping the commandments of your mediator Jesus ; which he received from the Father .
Grace by faith was always available for ALL MEN ,from the beginning ( Adam ) ; the Priesthood of Melchisedec has been around since the beginning of the creation .
Over the centuries , the Israelites lost their way , that is while the prophet Moses told them .
      Deuteronomy 18:15-19, " 15.The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
16According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
And he would put in that prophet mouth all the things that the people desired at Horeb , or Mount Sinai .
Which is the ten commandments , that the God of Israel spoke to them , and all the statutes , judgments and covenants that Moses would speak to them of , because the people were afraid to hear it from God , lest we die .
Paul started by saying : " I SPEAK TO THEM THAT KNOW THE LAW " ; that would be Israelites .
Paul spoke to Israelites and Gentiles together , in most cities he ministered .
This is an allegory of the sin sacrifice laws through the two mediators ; which Moses was the husband under the covenant between the Father and the children of Israel at Mount Sinai , and Jesus Christ became the husband of the covenant between the Father and the children of Israel , after he was resurrected , and appeared before the Father in heaven for our sins .
The sin sacrifice of atonement went through the mediators , under a priesthood ( blood of the animals and oblations , through works , under the priesthood of Leviticus through Moses , and blood of Christ , through faith , underthe priesthood of Melchisedec , through Jesus Christ ) .
Jesus Christ has redeemed them from their former husband Moses and the law of animal sacrifice .
Most of the nation of Israel did not believe that Jesus was that atonement for sin to bless all nations , so they continued in the first atonement ( blood of the animals and oblations ) .
Paul did not believe at first , he persecuted the followers of Jesus Christ , and continued in the atonement of the blood of the animal for sin ; which could only clean the flesh/body , not the heart/spirit .
In this allegory , Paul is talking about three types of laws that is spoken of throughout the bible :
(1.) The laws of the Father ; which are hs laws/commandments/instructions ; which includes all the covenants ; these are instructions for righteousness ; from the first commandment he gave man , to the end of the creation .
(2.) The sin sacrifice law of atonement for the flesh/body , through the mediator Moses ; the law of animal sacrifice of works .
(3.) The sin sacrifice law of atonement for the heart/spirit , through the mediator Jesus Christ , the blood of Christ through faith .
The sin sacrifice of atonement for the flesh/body had many names ( law of animal sacrifice and oblations ,or the law of sin and death , or the law of works , or the circumcision of flesh for sin , or the schoolmaster , or the whole law , or the law of Moses , because it came through the mediator Moses , who was the protection/covering /husband , for the people ) .
The sin sacrifice of atonement for the heart/spirit had many names ( law of faith , law of liberty , circumcision of heart/spirit for sin , law of righteousness , law of grace , or law of Christ , because it came through the mediator Jesus Christ , who was the protector/covering/husband , for the people ) .
Most of the times in Romans 7 , Paul is talking about the law of animal sacrifice , when he say ( law ,commandment , flesh ,letter ,carnal ) .
Most of the times in Romans 7 , Paul is talking about the blood of Christ through faith , when he say ( newness of spirit , inward man , law of my mind ) .
Most of the times in Romans 7 , Paul is talking about the laws of the Father , when he say ( sin , law of God ) .
The apostle Peter said that some of Paul's writings and other scriptures are sometimes hard to be understood .
      Hope this help ?
      Shalom !

Also, I would like to know what sin (in the term "sinneth not") is. I think McArthur is saying that Christians sin too; if that is the case then, does your verse 8 mean they are all "of the devil"? In Romans 7, Paul recounted his struggles under the Law and still seeking a deliverance, which he found in Jesus. In Romans 7:14 he clearly identified himself as being in bondage to sin, so he is not talking of his experience as a born again or saved person, or a "new creature in Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:17) so to speak.
Romans 7:14-25 is about the apostle Paul's experience when he was still in sin and lost and seeking a deliverance. He did find in Jesus his deliverance / salvation / freedom from sin (John 8: 31-36, Romans 6:7, 18).
      1 Peter 2:21-25
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, 22 who “committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth.” 23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back.

This is a deceptive message. Romans 7:14-24 is not describing a "regenerated" or "born again" person as is suggested @19:00. I encourage you to study carefully this matter of people using Romans 7 to explain being stuck in sin. They will never quote 1 John 3:6, 9 (abiding in Jesus or having been born again and not sinning as a result) or 1 Peter 2:24 (being dead to sin to live to righteousness). We may have a major disagreement on what the scriptures mean, but my reply is not to have a dispute with you. I can elaborate on my concerns if you want. I wish you well.

To me it is describing any human being that has not accepted their humanity. We are not completely spiritual and we are not completely carnal. The battle ends when we find the balance between our spirtuality and carnality. We should not live in the extremes. We have to accept our humanity and find the balance in our lives. The more we lean to one direction the more we will be pulled towards the other. When we are in the center there is no more conflict and we are whole natural human beings. This inner conflict is known as cognitive dissonnance and it can lead to mental illness. People are not born depraved or in sin. People become out of balance by the lies that they are told by people, authority figures, in the world. A good example is this sermon that teaxhes that people are born sinners and depraved. That is what creates the depravity in people. There never was anything wrong with people to begin with. It is religions teaching a false reality that creates problems. It is what causes people to repress natural desires and when we do that we are thrown out of balance. People either repress their deaires in an attempt to be good or they completely give in to depravity all based on the lies they have been taught about reality.

I agree. I have learned the meaning of "God is our strength" .God does in us what we could never do. Leaving no doubt that it is God who is doing it. In our imperfection our faith is tested and grown. In this God "teaches us" to glorify Him. Self confidence is deadly that's why Peter needed to be sifted. Many "religious people" have a morally restrained heart but not a supernaturally changed heart and preach perfection. In their pride they fall.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
    Romans 6:7
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
    Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
    Romans 6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
    Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
    John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
    Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
    Galatians 4:6
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
    1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God
In summary, Jesus is the Last Adam. We are born into him by his Spirit. It is by his Spirit that we overcome sin and walk as the sons and daughters of God. If you don't have the Spirit, you will sin. Examine yourselves

Religious leaders, pastors and teachers mistakenly interpret Romans chapter 7. When one reads all context of Paul's teachings in his letters, it is clear he teaches freedom from sin through faith in Jesus Christ. We know through scripture that whatsoever is not of faith is sin and that Christ was manifested to take away our sin. Your religious teachers do not understand that what they teach is not of faith but is of their own understanding. The doctrine of faith in Jesus Christ teaches us to enter into the life of Christ through the Spirit. If we are in Christ, in faith, in the Spirit, we will not sin. It is impossible to sin and have faith as we stated previously "whatsoever is not of faith is sin". You began believing the word of the gospel which is the beginning of the gift of faith, but have been deceived by false teachings that have derailed your walk of faith and enslaved you to the flesh and sin. These words I have written are of the Spirit and of truth. You are to seek to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. It is no wonder your teachers lack faith and the true Spirit of Christ because their doctrine is not in faith. It is taught them by man. It is clear from their views and doctrine on eternal security, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and second coming of Christ that they walk in error and teach their followers to do so also.

What if you give in to sin after you thought you were saved? Does that make you are not saved?

    • @yestothetruth
      @yestothetruth Рік тому

Let's agree first on what you mean by "giving in." Is it that you know right from wrong and decide to do wrong (sin)? Salvation can't just be something you think has happened for you. You would have been set free from sin from being in bondage to sin (see John 8:34-36). And it would be clear to you that sin has no power over you (see Romans 6:14), so you could just say "No" to sin.
And if you would have returned to being in bondage to sin, then that wouldn't be anything that could happen casually. It would be the result of rebelling against God's ways. Then you would not be on the right track. If indeed you had been saved and stopped abiding in Jesus, you can read that scenario in Jon 15:4-6. Salvation implies having a walk to walk, a destination to reach by walking a certain way, and giving in to sin would not be part of it, because of the grace of God precisely.
It helps to see the grace of God this way:
      Titus 2:11-14
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 *instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;* 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might *redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.*
If the grace of God instructs you to say 'No' to sin, then that part is up to you, and that is why the grace of God can be received in vain by someone who does not use it for what it's given for: to live for God, no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world.
      Peace to you!

We are born of incorruptible seed, born of God. I don't have to listen to the lies in my head, or the world, don't be comforted to this evil generation, don't talk mean to yourself, as the Wicked do, who don't know or love God. Jesus paid it all, so I don't have to give into that sin. And I really don't want either. Satan only destroys and bring forth death and destruction, don't let him intice you by your natural man, concentrate on the gospel repeat every scripture you can think of. Resist the natural hormones, it will pass. Learn control. God will reward you for it. Your joy for keeping His commandments, use that to bless all others, especially our enemies, it's hard in our strength, way easier in His strength. Remember the hot coals on their heads-because We're all born in God's image, they have a conscience, it will drive them crazy, they can run but they can't hide from the Holy Spirit if you walk by faith, as much depends on you. Stay the course, walk by faith not by sight. ❤

I struggled with meth for over 25 years and when I gave my life to the lord God took it away from me all in one day, I can truly say it was all God and not me, losing my addition was something I really wanted, when I asked God to take this addiction from me , it wasn't a quiet little prayer it was a desperate prayer for help, I stood in a corner with my hands in the air and cried out to God out loud and I didn't care who heard me, I poured my self out that day as if I just found out my mother had just died, I needed God to hear me, I needed to let my God know I was done playing games, I needed to to get my Gods attention because I knew the only way I was going to shake this addiction was through the power of God, and that's how my attitude was when I cried out to God to help me, so when I was done praying it was gone just like that! just remembering that day breaks me because I knew with all my heart God heard me and answered my prayer in just a moment.

  • @ronevartt7537
    @ronevartt7537 2 роки тому

Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman (The Believer) which hath an husband (Sin) is bound by the law to her husband so long as he (Sin) liveth; but if the husband (Sin) be dead, she (The Believer) is loosed from the law of her husband (Sin).
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband (Sin) liveth, she (The Believer) be married to another man (Jesus), she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband (Sin) be dead, she (The Believer) is free from that law (Law of sin and death); so that she (The Believer) is no adulteress, though she be married to another man (Jesus).
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law (The Law of Sin) by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another (Jesus), even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God (Obedience to the Law).
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death (Law of Sin and death).
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law (Law of Sin and Death), that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit (Law of God through the teachings of Jesus), and not in the oldness of the letter (Without understanding).
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead (Without knowing the law you can’t know sin).
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived (Sin came alive unto us after we became aware of the law), and I died (This is the law of sin and death).
Rom 7:10 And the commandment (The Law), which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death (Again the law of sin and death, and the reason we all need a Savior).
Rom 7:11 For sin (Deception of sin, and not the law), taking occasion by the commandment (The Law), deceived me, and by it slew me (Unable to perfectly keep the law, and again a reason why we need a Savior).
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good (The Law) made death (The Law) unto me? God forbid. But sin (Sin should be made death unto us), that it might appear sin, working death in me (Alive unto the law of God) by that which is good (The Law); that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual (Can only be accomplished in us by His Spirit): but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I (Again, the whole reason why we need a Savior).
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not (Which is to obey the law of God), I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not (Can only be accomplished by His Spirit).
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law (Law of sin and death), that, when I would do good (Obey God’s law), evil is present with me (Still in the flesh, and needing a Savior).
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God (His Spirit in me) after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law (God’s law) in my members, warring against the law (Law of sin and death) of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members (Our flesh).
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Please read 2 Peter 2:20-22. The old man would not just casually come back after someone got born again.
      Galatians 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Love is the strength being the Divine Nature, Eternal life is that they being under the law afterThe flesh, the sins by the law working death in them Romans 7:5-24
The Body of sin is put to death in Baptism Into Christ that form of doctrine that delivers us from sin and thus being raised with Christ we are raised in new.nesd of life and spirit Romans 6:3-4, 7:6 But hey if you don't have your confession after the wisdom the Words the Holy Spirit teaches how then can you be set free rejection the truth? And how will your mind NOT be carnal which is death? The promises of God will be dead to you having remained with a carnal mind Romans 8:5-8
It may be true that you teach Paul is speaking to babes in Christ but Paul is speaking to those that are after the flesh being under the law. The key is in Romans 7:5 For when we WERE after the flesh"... Evidently Paul is speaking to Christians who knows the law or of the law or under the law. They may delight themselves in the law of God but if yet under the law they haven't made the transition or haven't believed the truth that sets them free from the old man body of sin or can fight the lust of the flesh they are yet in bondage to.
Love being poured out into the hearts of them that believe is if God's Righteousness not of the Righteousness of the law.Romans 9:30-33
One cannot cry out to be delivered from the body of sin if he thus believed the Baptism into Christ delivers him from, except he either doesn't know the truth that sets him free or isn't persuaded to believe the truth being that he follows what his fleshly mind dictates.

The first thing you can do is to develop the fear of the lord in your life, the fear of the lord to me is when we learn to develop a overwhelming awarenesses that God surrounds our life from morning to evening, if we truly believe this we are less likely to commit any sins before our lord, lets look at pornography for instance, if you truly believe in the word of God then you have to believe what it says in 1Corinthians 6:15 Don't you realize that your bodies are parts of Christ's body? Should I take the parts of Christ's body and make them parts of a prostitute's body? That's unthinkable!. your sharing that porn with the body of Christ and if God is everywhere all the time he's watching you, if you believe God is watching you then you might as well ask Christ the next time you feel like watching some porn what video he would like to watch. that sounds a little ridiculous to do. but if you really believe in God and His word then you should commit your self to God and His word and stop committing your self to defiling the body of Christ.
now the way to develop the fear of the lord in your life is to talk to God daily morning noon and night read Gods word so you can know Him better pray in public places out loud be unashamed to speak of your God any chance you get just like you would of your wife kids mom brother who ever then when the next time you get the urge you might think twice because God is watching and just like you would never watch porn with your mother or master-bate in front of your mother you would never do the same thing in front of your God who gave his life for that very sin.

You need to read the Bible and pray. You must also fight the temptation when it comes with the word of God. Cast down those thoughts and feelings in the name of Jesus Christ. Speak the word against it just as Jesus did when the devil tempted Him in the desert. Find every verse that addresses lust and fornication and say, "it is written" and speak those verses against it. It is a battle in your flesh and your spirit. It is the desire of your flesh and a spiritual attack. You must fight it off. Do away with anything that keeps you easily coming back to it. Get some brothers in church to talk to and who will pray for you. Remember the pain and the consequences when you are tempted. That it's not worth it. Fight the good fight of faith. Fight for your life and prove your faith and love for God through Jesus Christ. See it as the trap of enemy that it is. You'll find much more pleasure in victory over sin than that short moment of giving in. But you must read and stay in the word. The word of God will strengthen you against the flesh. It will equip you with the weapons to fight temptation. God will equip you and strengthen you but you must fight the battle. Be on guard and fight when it comes. You can do it.

Even when I was a babe in Christ knowing the truth as I wrote afore set me free from the body of sin Colossians 2:11-12 Delivers. For we are circumcised with the circumcision of Christ made without hands in putting off the body of sin the sis of the flesh with the circumcision of Christ buried with Him in Baptism wherein we are raised with Him through the faith of the Operation of God. This sword of the Spirit is part of the armor we have in Christ when the devil questions our minds about sin and sins lust that comes to tempt usl questions God's truth of salvation.
Anyone seeking to be justified and looks to Jesus to be justified and has a Born of God experience, and says he is a sinner; what is Jesus a minister of sin.? NO, Jesus is a minister of God's Righteousness. The sinner/ sinfulness body of sin the body of iniquity that old man, was out to death in Baptism into Christ How then do many claim to be sinners? And how is the sinful body saved by grace?
In Ephesians 1:4-5 the Spirit reveals that God chose us in Christ. It's the New creature God saved in all wisdom and prudence so that we may be holy and without blame before Him in love.
In many ways they that have their minds steeped in the synoptic gospels never come to the truth and wisdom the Holy Spirit teaches to be fed with the bread of the Mystery Paul says they that do are made perfect. Why do your apostate teachers ignore the following scripture?
John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God

The transition from being after the flesh to being after the Spirit is the cross of Jesus Christ which in result is a new creature. But the religious say their sinners saved by grace. The old man the body of sin sin and sins lust plays out in is out to death and a new man is raised in newness of life and spirit/ a new creature. The conscience of the new man is established in God's Righteousness just as the old man in Adam was made a sinner.Romans 5:12-19. They that are born of God cannot sin because the incorruptible seed remains in him neither can he sin being born of God.
If the mind has its focus after the flesh is death but to them that speak after the wisdom the Words the Holy Spirit teaches his mind is spiritual.
The mind that is ruled by his senses can never prove what the good acceptable and perfect will of God is being carnal minded. Neither can he with his soul put in the new man. The new man is out on through the knowledge of God the things the Holy Spirit teaches who created the new man in Christ after His image.
They that say they believe the death ad resurrection of Christ then go into a works performance acceptance fall from grace. It is only through the wisdom from the words the Holy Spirit teaches is washed by water of the Word of God thus set free from sins of the flesh and mind the washing of water by the Word of God the ministry of The Word of reconciliation.
God who raises the dead or and that.which is dead; and calls those things that be not according to the senses/ the flesh,. If God says He created the new creature in Christ in righteousness and in true holiness; believing the what God says verses what his flesh says follows the Holy Spirit.
The law of righteousness is spiritual and it's the Righteousness of God Romans 3:21-22 is the fulfilling of the law Romans 9:30-33.
The result of God's Righteousness is the new birth; and it is Christ in them , the enabling of Christ life we live in this body living byThe faith of Jesus Christ having received the measure of the gift of Christ.
Under the law of Righteousness the body of sin remains and even if he delight in the law of God cannot perform the good he would. The Righteousness of God who pours His Divine Nature Eternal life His love is is the strength we are without to perform the good we would.
They that are under the law are without this the love of God.
As long as you are under the law you are without strength and the works of the flesh you will be your fruit. But if you become dead to Moses and married to Christ those sins that are by the law will seize Romans 7:4-5

I think we have to remember that men back in the day usually got married young, so masturbation, fornication of the heart etc was less of an issue. Whist I understand and am aware that lustful thoughts corrupt the soul, I think it's not good to keep it in either, and indeed it may be bad for your reproductive system and genitals to not masturbate regularly. I would imagine that refraining completely if you are 30+ could lead to erectile dysfunction. The biggest issue seems to be images of lust either real or imagined to stimulate, rather than the physical stimulation with no images at all. So does the issue lie specifically with images of a person you aren't attached to, or even images that aren't of anyone in particular? I think it's an issue that needs to be discussed more openly for those unable to meet partners.

Paul was a Pharisee, he believed in God , he was trying to keep the mosaic law in his flesh, he was a hypocrite until JESUS DELIVERED HIM. It doesnt line up with all of his other epistles or even Roman6&8... This is clearly Not a believer, Paul said in acts he serves God with a clear conscience.. you misinterpered 1Timothy1 "i am chief" because he says he was FORMERLY a blaspbemer and that Jesus counted him faithful to the ministry, how can Jesus count someone faithful if they are a chief sinner??? And in 2Timothy paul said he finished the race and going to be crowned.. Chief sinners do not get crowned. In 1corinthians10:13 paul says no temptation has overtaken and God will make a way of escape. That romans7 and chief sinner was GIVING INTO temptation.. Theres more scriptures to prove Romans7 paul is not a believer in CHRIST but theres a few.. Romans7 sounds like a pharasiee religious hypocrite who just as Jesus said they are and theres alot of self proclaimed "christian" religious hypocrites as well that use 1Timothy1 and romans7 as an excuse to sin every single day but think they are saved because they Have head knowledge of who Jesus is and thwy go to a building on sundays, but sin everyday??? IF YOUR EYE CAUSES YOU TO SIN PLUCK IT OUT AND CAST IT FROM YOU ITS BETTER TO ENTER LIFE MAINE THEN GO TO HELL 🔥 WITH BOTH EYES, JESUS CAME TO TAKE AWAY AND TO FREE US FROM OUR SIN! Halellujah, Praise the LORD JESUS! John8:11 GO AND SIN NO MORE! BE YE PERFECT AS OUR FATHE RIN HEAVEN IS PERFECT! And thats only possible with the power of God and the Holy Spirit we must Abide in Jesus to live holy!!.. Hope this was edifying to the saints.

      My friend,
Respectfully, what I wrote in my comment was that Mr. MacArthur has not obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He believes in a false Jesus that doesn't exist (God the Son, the second person of the trinity); and he believes that "accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour" makes one a Christian; and of course the Bible makes no mention of any such thing.
Here is the way of salvation in Jesus Christ, since the day that the new testament began, on the day of Pentecost, 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord:
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
      Acts 2:38
Mr. MacArthur has never obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ, and has never been saved from his sins; and he has also never told anyone how to be saved from his sins by the blood of Jesus Christ.
If you wish to learn more of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you are welcome to visit the Wordprophet channel, and I will be happy to serve you therein.
