Just saw one of those tables in an unfinished furniture store and I'm in love with it. Now I'm trying to figure of how to make one without any skills :-)
What is the final radius of the two plywood pieces under the barrel head? Just to help me understand (sometimes that takes a lot) when you cut the legs to length, is this where the 10 degree angle comes into play? I have now watches this video 6 times and it never gets old. I am looking forward to building a set of these for my living room.
Thank you so much!! The size of the plywood is determined on the size of your barrel top, cause they are different sizes. I made my so there was about 1 1/2"-2" overhang of the top. As for the legs cutting to length, you can but there is no need to cut them at 10 degees cause it's all hidden with the metal band. Best of luck and happy build. Email me if you have more questions Thanks again.
Howard SWAX16 SunShield I put this of once a year, it’s was to apply and seems to last the year. Outdoor Furniture Wax with UV Protection, 16-Ounce, Yellow www.amazon.com/dp/B001EXZY8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nJR7Cb3VAZWAZ
Hey Micheal, Thanks for watching . I'm no expert on rivet guns , just needed one for the build. But the one I got is a Chicago Pneumatic CP7150 airgun. got it online from Hanson rivet supple co.
Michael Utterback I got 1/4x3/8 steel sold rivet round head, plain finish. You’ll need a bit to match your rivets. 1/4 roundhead air hammer bit. I remembered I called them and they help me get what I need. So maybe give them a call to make sure your getting exactly what you need. Thank and don’t forget to subscribe 😉
My hoops have a bevel that I found it hard to work around. I'm thinking of buying a flat strip of metal from the hardware store in place of the hoops. Suggestions?
Carl Dombek I believe if you use one of the hoops that go around the center of the barrel they have less of a bevel. I cut it and shortened it to fit. Then screwed it on the upper side of the hoop towards the top. It really is just decoration anyways. Hope this helps.
Thanks for watching ! They are called countersink drill bits. Something like these on amazon .....www.amazon.com/Irwin-Tools-1882792-SPEEDBOR-Countersink/dp/B00IZFHRXA/ref=cm_sw_em_r_dp_dz_U_RoK5AbEE7ES0D_im
Absolute beauty. Very well crafted
I really appreciate that, thank you. 👍👍
Great video! High quality, great shots. Best part was you conversing with your dog at the end. He gets you like no one else!! What a gift!!
Thank you. He is the only one that listens.😂🤣
Super build and complements previously built chairs nicely. The Muz Shop keeps churning out fantastic bespoke creations.
Larry Banda thanks and I think the Shop Dog approves too.
Very clever design. I like the metal band and riveting. Haven't seen that done before. And what a great shop!
Thanks Man.
