To be fair, calling an engine on a 2013 Sorrento is a pretty safe bet.
Too many times, I hear that people bring their car to a shop with a problem, the shop throws parts at it, which doesn't fix the problem, and the car owner has to pay! Doesn't make any sense.
If a whole ass engine.dont.fix it I'm confused what else would it be
Flat tire.
This is exactly how I operate my shop. Not many shops with this confidence level but this is what it takes to retain and build a large customer base
What concern is replacing the engine not going to fix? What makes more sense is when I need an engine you’re not gonna sell me some other repair that’s not going to hold up.
New engine, transmission and radiator and your good to go!
Valve needs adjusting

Thats great diagnostics incentive. Glad you're running a reputable business, it's a dying trade.
Sounds to me like you throw big parts at it until it fixes it and tell the customers everything it took to fix the issue. Like a new motor instead of a timing set for example.
I think the customer came in and wanted a new engine, otherwise it would already have been diagnosed
Completely opposite. Look at my channel and then respond back. We are the final stop to get a car fixed. We NEVER charge for parts that dont fix a car.
If we say it needs a new engine and new transmission new tires and new exhaust $20,000.00 work on a 2013 $500.00 vehicle makes no sense
