I’ve seen that journal online. How do you find it? Personally, I try to go with my initial gut reaction when it’s something I’m certain I won’t use. Declutter what’s easiest first, trash, paper, broken things you’ll never repair etc. It definitely takes time and commitment.
When you've shown that huge bag of trash and right after that decluttered beauty product box, I was hoping you'll film while emptying that box in the bag and take it out as actually tossing things and mixing them with the regular trash is what I struggle to do. I just keep boxes and clean bags like that in a closet or the garage. Mostly with fashion magazines/catalogues and old clothes that can't be donated.
That box went to the curb just like that. I use boxes because my trash bags aren’t strong enough. All those beauty products were discussed in the product declutter I posted on June 9th. When I mentioned you ;) You are the only one who can throw your stuff out, you can do it!! 💪
@@AlexaLikes Wow, I don't know how I've missed that one, I think I was away for few days and the notification went off by itself, it happens sometimes. At least it looks like it was the only recent video from you that I've miseed 😇 The socks tossing was satisfying as they've didn't looked old/damaged so I would probably kept them in case my feets get smaller one day 🤦(which I know it won't happen 😅). When they have holes, it's easy to toss. But I like your thinking that it's not any better if they occupy space for no reason in my house than in the landfill, their printmark already been done and unless I use them, if they have no more purpose, they belong in the bin. I just always find it weird to mix nice things (like those had nice printed patterns on, not only white or black) with the trash as if there should be special trash for things that doesn't stink 🥲 Just like it's easier to recycle nice things than thow away even if they get destroyed in both situations. But I don't think there's any place around me that can recycle old clothes like that so in the trash it goes. For the old beauty product, unless it's super old/expired, just some of them I struggle with. I just like to have the mental image of things actually get mixed with the trash as it's the ''final'' step to confirm it's gone. Like you've said, you're not going to take those old socks from the kitchen trash 🤣 But now I know you've didn't emptied that box off camera 😇
There used to be bins at my local mall and even H&M (I’m not sure how trustworthy) where you could put damaged clothes destined to be reprocessed into new fabrics. It still extents a carbon footprint and we have no way of knowing those aren’t getting shipped across the world to burn in landfill. For old beauty, I use boxes or reusable bags to throw them out due to the weight. There’s a recycling program too, similar to teracycle but it’s available across Marshall’s in Canada where you can drop off clean containers. Can’t be perfect, though. 😜
I love your taste in style when it comes to your furniture. Where did you get your dresser the long white ones with the big drawers and where you put your plants? I’m looking for something just like that but I cannot find any.

I get super stressed getting rid of stuff. I still use that journal called Throw It Away by Guru Notebooks sometimes.
