Assen Aug 2022 Race 2 Sam Moss #31 Div1 Superkart

Starting 3rd on the grid, it was not so easy as pole man had an issue and pulled into pits. Had a decent start and kept 3rd position.
Eventually I got passed Lee (#5) for 2nd place in the arena, and tried to put a few quick laps in to see if I could edge away at Liam Morleys (#2) lead. I managed fastest lap on Lap 4, but then Liam was quicker on Lap 5 so the gap pretty much stayed the same until the full course yellow.
A lot of oil was dropped on the far end of the circuit, and with just 1 minute 40 to go I thought that would be end of race, as minimum lap time under FCY was 3min 25, but half way round the race went back to green so I got caught napping and I lost a bunch of places as the engine wouldn't clear.
I think I crossed the line in around 9th place but then I was elavated to 4th place as a lot of drivers sped under FCY.

Loving watch you race! What happened on the restart? It looked like the engine wasn’t picking up.
