especially 'affordable housing Shared ownership or LH. I've seen some nightmares working in social housing since 2005. They are just built on the cheap.
It's not just this house builder, it's the whole system in Britain, it's set up to benefit a small number of people, it's been going on for centuries and nothing will ever change, i spent my whole life (52 years) fighting it, constantly watching people oppressed in what's supposed to be a rich free country, it's just one big stealth taxed rip off, have you never wondered why a Solicitor deals with property and not a Notary ? 4 years ago we had enough and left before it gets really bad, even when you get your pavement, it's ugly friggin tarmac, and the quality of the houses, well ......
Unfortunately your quality of house depends on the site management & the subcontractors that work there…the firm that builds those houses is really secondary….if a site looks well run you will be ok if it looks a mess & is unorganised then you will get a crap product..
If your having issues with your housing developers just advertise your issue(s) daily on their own social media websites. They will suddenly pretend to care.
Thats what i dont get, people are well aware now how BAD new builds are and yet the still pay a fortune for one with 200+ issues when they move in? Stupid
They are horrendous. They won’t fix my drive. And won’t fix my roof. This video brings back memories. We were lucky on our estate that we had people who made persimmons fix stuff that made them get stuff done. I’m not paying RHM any monies until the estate is finished.
Persimmon work under the Charles Church brand selling "higher spec homes". Total BS. Went to see a development and the finishes were a disgrace. Said it to the sales rep. Her reply...."it's up to you if you want to buy one of our homes, maybe they are not for you!". No I said. They are substandard. And walked away. Oh and there were "management charges" to cut the communal grass areas and upkeep. Never jumped in my car so quick.
When I worked at Persimmon Homes, I heard the description "Charles Church homes are better quality materials, put together just as badly." Seems appropriate.
Worst thing is the residents have to pay an estate management fee on new homes. Sarcastically referred to as fleecehold by owners who feel they were duped into these fees with no legal protection of services being carried out and that the fees will not be unreasonably increased in the future. This is why you pay your council tax and I think the councils must be in the pockets of these developers when planning is granted. They both win and new home owners get f****d in the a**e...
