I've been debating picking this watch up since it was released. Your discount code at Mimo's finally sold me on it, and I picked it up last night. Thanks Rob!
I have the normal version of the Gw-9500. It is awesome. What a beast of a watch! The functions are nice too, easy to learn how it works. But the best thing is, it is huge but kind of flat and really lightweight. That in total makes it really good wearable
Rob, what are your thoughts on g shock not providing tins anymore? I just got the neon green 6900 gloss that just rereleased a few weeks ago and the packaging was an embarrassment. Luckily we all have 600 tins lying around but sheesh.
Whereas many Mudman models are too busy, this one has a more simple and readable display that makes it very tempting. Thanks for the look.

Love this one! Maybe its just me but the more digital the better in cases of good old G!
Awesome review as always Rob thank you.
What is that super bright glow-in-the-dark object in the background please???

Nice !! Great review!
have this one (not toyota, regular GW9500). my favorite gshock (have more than few)
I have a protrek watch with this movement. I love it. Is it just me or is this display more legible on this model than their other LCD displays?
Isn’t that brushed metal bezel sexy!?!

That’s a Protrek. The G-Shocks are supposed to be a higher grade product. They’re selling us less watch for more money.
Awesome that Casio used the positive display on this one...
