Robert and Roland Cazimero, the most beautiful male duo in the history of Hawaiian music, Roland legacy will never be forgotten. Robert is an amazing human being and legendary musician. So proud I had a chance to meet him.
I remember seeing Roland and Robert in concert when I was about 13 years old. I will never forget just being in awe of their talent, voices and how they moved my very soul with their music and passion for Hawaii. My prayers are with the Cazimero family as they grieve this tremendous loss.
Our first trip to Oahu, where my in-laws lived, in the car, we listened only to, I think it was K100 radio. All Hawaiian music. At one point, a song came on that just blew me away. Those voices and instruments...man...just did it for me. We drove to a mall in Pearl City , I think, went straight to a music store and I tried to describe the song I'd heard. The young woman took me to a bin and showed me "Follow Me" by the Brothers Cazimero. The next morning, I got up to find my 12-year old son, with earphones on and the CD in his walkman. We've all been hooked ever since. Sad to hear of Roland's passing but it was really nice to see and hear this interview. Those voices, with that soaring sibling harmony will brighten my heart forever.
Just came across this tonight. Stunned to learn of Roland's passing. I saw the brothers caz first time in the Sunday Manoa. Then as time passed never missed a May Day concert at the Waikiki Shell. They had the most amazingly wonderful sound. Had all their albums. We always said it was the music of heaven and the angles. That sound will never be matched. So beautiful. What an awesome legacy you've left behind. Much aloha and mahalo. 😓
When I think of Hawaii, I always think of the Brothers Cazimero. Their Aloha has filled by heart with joy always! Mahalo Nui...Aloha Roland....you are forever Hawai to me! Deb (Ani) Thompson
Leslie! You are the real-deal full of authentic Aloha-filled wahine with the gift of empathic communication. This is now an exemplary legacy to my Brother from another Mother, Roland aka "Bozo", who you caught perfectly and presented in only the way you can, here in "Long story short" ... Leslie, you are exemplary! Mahalo! OxO Live Aloha
I GREW UP LISTENING TO THEM WHEN THEY WERE SUNDAY MANOA, THEY ARE SO AMAZING!!! REST IN L💜VE ROLAND, I WILL MISS HEARING YOUR BEYOUTIFUL VOICE!!!😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺👏👏👏😘
Watching this interview again, man I still can’t believe Braddah’s final journey has begun. Robert&Roland’s concert in sunny California, Rowland was sick.(Whittier city college’s Susan B. Anthony theater). Flowing red velvet curtains, seating fashioned after the Greek theater style. Vendors selling Hawaiian t-shirts, and other trinkets. It’s sooo funny, my Mom goes up to Robert and says “Hey I’m Hawaiian!! Robert says, I’m Hawaiian to”!!! Lol!!!!!! Have a beautiful journey Rowland, bumby we all gonna see you in concert in our next journey. ML&Aloha Your Boy Kekoa&Ohana.🤙🏾🤎💪🏾🏝
