Everytime when I think that he finished his work, it’s only half of the video! Another half of the video, he makes it perfect! Thank you for the work that you do, you really helping
This guy is so amazing. He's not afraid to make his videos long, and that's how it should be. Learning how to use PS takes time. He even showed us how to open documents because "he doesn't want to keep us confused", while many youtubers just keep jumping steps that seem obvious (to them, at least). He is the best, hands down.
Then you probably don't know what you are talking about, he showed way too many redundant steps not to mention some incorrect stuff mainly the part about the lighting and overall really REALLY bad workflow which is the MOST important thing. You shouldn't learn from it because it's trash as a tutorial, at least this video.
“make sure that the blackest black is not totally black” and “the brightest color is not bright enough, let’s make it brighter” are my favorite quotes of this video 😂😂😂😂
@@brana5295 Not true. I have heard many north Indian politicians. Accents in south as well in rest of India vary, based on the kind of school they attend.
This man knows a lot of photoshop or post processing techniques than anyone else. He is also a best teacher. He teaches in a way both beginners and advance editors understand everything he says.
I've seen a lot of photoshop tutorials. This is easily one of the best ones out there. Your video production quality is extremely high, your instructions are easy to hear and follow, there's no wasted time or gimmicks in the video, your methods are very effective and non-destructive, and your final image looks amazing. In addition to all that, you are very friendly and comfortable in front of the camera. Excellent tutorial. Thanks so much!
This is literally the first time I've liked and subscribe an Indian guy doing a howto tutorials on UA-cam. This really helps man! Please continue to make videos like this in the future as you're videos are so easy to follow for beginners like me. Salute!
Forget the matching subject with background part, I've been using select color range for years and years with great results and this just schooled me. I learned so much, Wow thanks!
To say d truth, dis guy is a good teacher, even someone that is using photoshop for the first time will understand it...am not use to commenting on youtube videos or subscribing, but dis impressed me...u are a genius
His videos are lengthy when compared to others. But we can learn the subject even with half of the topic covered. But watching his full video makes you PERFECT and ACCURATE over others.
I just had the same of yours, Dinda bro! What a lession! Basic concept in brief: Put the subject on the background take a layer mask on the subject Then a Gradient Map on it On gradient map take the sample of Highligts ans Shadows of the background while selecting the Symbol not the layer That's it you got a matching background Subject. The rest is your caricature! Thank you again.
Seriously...you are the best!! For years I've taken multiple Photoshop courses and felt that I could teach myself much better - until I found your channel. You are an excellent teacher!! Thank you for doing such an amazing job! 😊
I've been using Photoshop since the late 90's but your videos are teaching me loads of things I wouldn't have had a clue of how to do otherwise. Great videos, well explained, and useful. Keep up the great work.
This is actually legitimately amazing!!! I've been trying to figure this out for the longest time. I've watched videos about using the selective colour method, and colour balance, but your method is so much easier and less dependent on how colour blind a person is. You are an amazing teacher, and a genius. I wish you every success. Thanks.
THANK YOU!! I know you posted a while back...i'm just now after using Photoshop for nearly 30 years attempting to expand my knowledge and usage of it beyond my basic needs at work! YOU ARE A HUGE HELP! I've never though I really needed to expand my knowledge beyond what was required here at work....but I think I can do sooooooo much more if I only knew where to look ...before it was just get the image ready an email or catalog ...but I want to create!! only took me getting into my 50s to want to use PS to its fullest... better late than never and you are making it easy for me ...so again THANK YOU
You make it seem so simple! The best thing is that you explain things in a way that a beginner will be able to understand. There is always something new to discover with your tutorials and you come across as incredibly likeable and easy to listen to!
the reason overlay does not spill out is because it paints over shades of gray but does not paint over 100% white of 100% black it will only paint over shades in between(for those who were confused why) buts amazing I never thought of using if in masks like that, just realised how un open my mind it :P thx man PS: you dont need to hold alt to make a mark with eye dropper just shift is fine
Great techniques here. One thing you didn't address is when there is a substantial resolution difference between the elements. Zoom in to this image and you'll see the lady is much finer resolution than the more pixelated and fuzzy background. Sometimes you may want to add noise or play with slight posterization on the finer element to bring it down to better match the less resolved element.
For all the tutorials I have been watching on youtube you have turned out to be the best. You explain every step very careful, you are perfectly audible. I would give you a 5 star for this.
Good stuff, however we must remember that on the shadow side of every object, there is always "reflected light." This light will be reflected from the ground or sky, etc. All professional photographers and those trained in the arts understand this. I was trained in classical drawing and painting. He should not be getting rid of reflected light. Taking out fringe light from the masking is proper, but he should explore the best ways to bring in natural-looking reflected light. This is where an artistic background (training) is beneficial, since you may have to paint some of this in or use some more sophisticated methods with blending modes to get the reflected light. To my eye, it is not natural to see all reflected light obliterated. This is the problem. If you study drawing and painting, you will know that it is OK to lose the line between subject and shadow in certain areas, but not to obliterate this distinction between the two altogether. In the arts, this is called "lost and found edges." If you google that, you can see examples of what I'm saying. Once you learn this principle, you work will progress to a much higher level. I'd like to see him address this problem in a future video. Perhaps with this same photo. To be clear, there is some lost and found edges going on, but the overall reflected light is not correct and not at all believable in this photo. I still appreciate his teaching though.
Totally agree! Too bad you made this comment almost 2 years after this video was made. It deserves more attention. There may be tons of people who don't have a background in art and have watched this video and are probably making unconvincing composites because they don't fully understand how light and shadow works.
Hi Umesha Just want to say a huge thanks to you, my retouching and editing skills have improved significantly thru your tutorials, and i have only watched about 10% of your tutorials. i have to say that i prefer your tutorials more than phlearn and pratik naik, way more.
