Living Tribunal is like that friend that has hands in the gym but not in the ring. We know he's super powerful but we alo kmow he ain't gon do shit. Dream is willing to fuck you up. Willing and able.
The Living Tribunal fits well in the godsphere, but Morpheus is one of the top tiers in that level of the DC cosmology.
Yup. I agree. Shit before the tv series i didnt know who he was really. I did my research and was like this boi dream is a menace. The tv show did a spot on representation of him in my opinion. They didnt need to add all the extra shit tho.
Love that you showed the power stats from the marvel series 3 cards. Series 4 was good too, but series 2 was the absolute best. I lost my set but I'd totally buy another.
I think one thing anout TLT is that he's such a blank slate; no character/personality, and no real agency. Theres zero investment or reason on the readers part to root for him, against him, care what happens to him, anything. Because of that, I feel like he just becomes a tool for writers to show how powerful another character/threat is by smacking him up, so he ends up an uber jobber. Win or lose, Morpheus is infinitely cooler anyway haha. Just a thought.
LT is very powerful but these Endless characters are extremely OP as well. IMO Dream is coming out victorious more often than not. Great content!!!!!!

@@tevariousrothborne3961 I really doubt it. Morpheus is beyond powerful - LT might be able to contend at the beginning but my money is on the "Sandman".
The Living Tribunal's power is virtually limitless, as the entity prevents the Infinity Gems from being used in unison, although it remains subservient to a single, even higher entity referred to as "One-Above-All" (not to be confused with the celestial also called the One Above All).
It says his power is almost unlimited or limitless, meaning without limits.

That's why I said that the Living Tribunal is never really lived up to his character. Marvel puts him as the second most powerful being. The Beyonders if going with original power scaling should not be able to have beaten high. Marvel messed that up, his character LT is inconsistent. That's what I said at the beginning of my post too

I don't see virtually Limitless on his resume. Vastly powerful is not Virtual unlimited. So LT wins.
LT being considered the second in the cosmology means nothing cuz characters like god of stories Loki, true form phoenix, eternity mask America Chavez, the original beyonder and possibly even the true form of oblivion, all scale higher than him .
Morpheus can casually control a 3rd of the entire godsphere and technically he is the responsible for the creation of the gods and it makes sense for him considering how a random ass nightmare of his can kill outerversal gods like Loki on a conceptual level . Imo I think he's way beyond the 5th dimension since he also has control over imaginations

That's actually an extreme low ball, Dream (like all other endless) are beyond all dimensions.

Really like this video. I have a theory though that I just thought about. When the Infinity Gauntlet was first made, Thanos became so powerful that all the Cosmic Entities had to step in. When Adam Warlock got the Infinity Gauntlet, The Living Tribunal immediately shut down the Infinity Gauntlet. It wasn't until after that event where in the Marvel vs DC crossover event Darkseid couldn't use the Infinity Gauntlet in the DC Universe, and in Johnathan Hickman's Fantastic 4 (where the Council Reeds figured out the Infinity Gauntlets throughout the multiverse only work in their own universes) and in Avengers: Time Runs Out (when Captain America couldn't push back another universe with the Infinity Gauntlet). Could this be a thing that The Living Tribunal did when he shut down the Infinity Gauntlet from Adam Warlock to nerf it's power, but to also create an infinite number of Infinity Gauntlets throughout the multiverse with each Infinity Gauntlet working in it's own universe as a means for cosmic balance? Could it be that the original Infinity Gauntlet that Thanos wore was actually a multiversal Infinity Gauntlet?
I don’t think so. In the next Infinity event/crossover (War , I believe.), Adam tried to use the Gauntlet, but it wouldn’t work , and they said that was due to the LT ruling against it working in unison. So , clearly he’s above the IG. AFTER that though, I think that writers just ignored it !🤷♂️ It happens with a shared universe .
From what I read about Dream , he would win. The LT would probably lose against any of The Endless.
Minus MAYBE Delirium, since she's the youngest, and weakest of the Endless.
Plus she's very obviously f*cking insane, so.
Despite that, she could still beat him, just her chances are lower than the others, especially Destiny, Dream and Death.
(°3°)/) hmm yo, wuts insane is that even a part of Morpheus, his ruby can make a normal dude a god. And alot of gods are linked to the dreaming as in some are born of the dreaming and dreams. Even worst ppl like Morpheus can basically baby shake the kings of hell. Like normal gods are like bugs to him. Even dream's servants in the dreaming are stronger than gods.
Morpheus narratively and cosmically has more power. Hes also jobbed far less 😂

@@BigSirSplash To be fair tho to my knowledge dream has never directly jobbed heads up. Him being caught by humans is his big jobbing moment and it wasn't really a fight he while in a weakened state because of boredom, curiosity he got trapped by a ritual. Then wrecked them. Has Morpheus even had a close fight really when he's at full power, serious and not weakened?
His biggest anti feat scaling wise I know of is openly admitting Lucifer probably beats him. He did say probably tho like it's not a given and Lucifer seems to respect him a lot and even uses dream to threaten people which insinuates Lucifer holds his power in high regard as well which is rare for him. If it wasn't for Dream openly saying he thinks Lucifer beats him I'd argue Dream would have an underdog shot against him.

Easy win for Dream, its not as bad since the Netflix show got more people to look into him but the endless are still underscaled. They are ridiclously well written and the concept of them shits on any of the marvel cosmology. You gotta get into pre retcon beyonder, house of stories Loki, True Form Pheonix, true form Oblivion etc just to start getting competitive i still think they all lose pretty handily.

@@winz1 Yeah Oblivion was the weakest of the ones I named. The Phoenix white room i do think gives the most problems. I still think Dream clears high diff tho. Or it's at worst s draw, stale mate. Need to re read up more on white room phoenix before saying for sure.

on book 3 after Lucifer leves hell and give the key to hell to morfeus all gods , order , chaos demons , devils , angels , fairys andv ext come to dreming , they ofer him carot and a stick and in the end one demon chalenge him . that demon is so poverfull that he can kill aspekst and gods esely and dreen just loks him avey for 10000 years in a can in a box just to teache him and show to uters what will hapen to these wo disrespects him.
If nightmare in marvel at one point scaled above LT and dream is better written then nightmare and possibly scales above so i bank dream

I feel Tribubal is just a victim of bad writing. He loses all fights just to show the reader how much of a threat villians really are. Narratively, he is 2nd to no one but the One above all. He isn't a jobber he's just used as a meter stick to show villians level of power.
That's the thing tho that is a jobber. Someone that's supposed to be second in the verse shouldn't be used as a measuring stick. Gotta go by feats not just that he stated to be op.

Dormammu doesn't drastically decrease when he is out of his dimension when compared to mephisto. Chthon and Cytorrak are beings above the likes of eternity, infinity and all. Cytorrak also has a particular dimension like dormammu and mephisto called the crimson cosmos and he is nearly omnipotent in his realm. Chthon doesn't have a particular dimension mentioned but he is by far considered the most powerful demon in marvel

I want to say The Living Tribunal wins based on his rank in Marvel but he jobs so much, he even jobbed to Nightmare, Marvels evil version of Dream.
First off Marvel and DC always over hype these things. LT is over hyped and DC sand man is more consistent. Let's talk about this, if you take SandMan and what he's capable of, it doesn't compare to LT. Let's do the math. LT turned off the gems which made Thanos lord over all realities, the living and dead. He in the comics could not be beat. If you are a living abstract you are like Love, Order, and Chaos which he easily defeated. All these beings were subject to Thanos with the gems and he was close to the one above all. No magic or anything else could have trapped Thanos and Dream was imprisoned by magic. No matter how powerful the magician I bet none at the time could have imprisoned Thanos. But LT turned off the Gems like they were nothing and you are comparing Dream to him. Dream is not in the same league.

More like, as everyone on the site and in other forums known, they downscale DC to highball their favourite visual novel characters which was a choice that was made by a very few from the administration, without votation and going against the will and work of the community, abusing power.
