This is absolutely awesome!, 35mm is unique, nothing compares to celluloid, but also a completely different era…, Thanks very much for this, has that feeling of a rare finding.
All those old effects look better when not remastered in HD or UHD. A bit of softness and grain in the image just hides all the tricks they did. I'll never forget the first time I watched Blade Runner on an old worn out VHS tape. Those effects looked 100% real. But now watching it on bluray on a modern TV, you really see too much detail that ruins the illusion.
+Ameen Ouassaddine Blue lightsaber was in this movie trailer for Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi and the green lightsaber was in the actual movie.
Was planned to be a blue lightsaber but in when they filmmed in the arena for the scene in the desert with the Sarlacc they noticed that the blue lightsaber didn't look well so they decided to change the color.
Anthony is dead on. You can see that the blue is blending with the sky to the point where it's hard to see in this trailer. Even though I do think this is the weakest film in the original trilogy, I will always have a warm spot for that first time Luke turns on his green lightsaber.
UA-cam really needs to fix their video compression issue. All the 35mm trailers on here get artifacts all over the screen, especially on black or dark-colored. I'd love to have a streaming service that lets me watch film transfers (or reel to reel/records) without a massive amount of compression. Love what your channel is doing!
I don't care what anyone says, when jedi was first released in 1983 it was the greatest star wars film ever made and was for a while until fans got older and started prefering empire or a new hope, but I tell ya,back in the day jedi was the one
@@taihao.multimedia I think analog and digital are great. With analogue you have formats like film and videotape and with digital videotape is now unnessesary. I feel that film still needs to be preserved however like with 4K77,80 and 83.
All loose ends tied up? The empire wasn’t nearly defeated. They only destroyed once space station and killed one emperor. That wouldn’t stop any empire. Also, the sequels are fine.
The Sequel Trilogy could have worked, I mean George Lucas had been thinking up one for years. The problem is the story by the end showed that overall it wasn't worth telling and basically reset everything back to square. Nothing has moved forward. Nothing has really progressed. I had this feeling after seeing The Force Awakens. Why are the Villains just a new version of the Empire complete with an Emperor copy and a fallen Skywalker leading them and why did we have a desert orphan as our lead? The trilogy I feel was poisoned from the start and it only got worse until they pulled Palpatine out of their asses revealing him to still be alive (or his spirit, apparantly the body he's in is a clone. They never go into this in the film. Also Rey's father is apparantly a failed Palpy clone...how did he get out or meet a wife or why he sold Rey to an abusive junker is anyone's guess. That wasn't thought out). The trilogy is pretty pointless now to be honest and I wonder if they will ever make films or shows that take place after The Rise of Skywalker. Does Rian Johnson's trilogy if it's still being made take place after?
you were great Carrie Fisher we'll miss you 1956-2016.

4k digital sux it's blurry although there are no splices or jump cuts. Digital allows more trailers though.
yes thanks.
I agree with you 100% ,when the movies were magic !!!
*Happy STAR WARS Day 2023!*
May the 4th be with us on the 40th Anniversary of *Star Wars: Return of the Jedi!*
Those years were magical times.
Man those original ILM effects look so damn good in 35MM. I think we've lost the true magic of movies in going from film to digital.

The Best Star Wars Movie Since Star Wars The Last Jedi. Thanks Mate. X
I will definitely use the retro quality as my film trademark when I become a filmmaker.
Jag Bungle I'm looking forward to watching your work!!
Just make sure to actually shoot on film, don’t just make digital look like grainy film. It doesn’t look right when you do that
Also suggest working at actual locations rather than green screen half the movie
Happy 35th!!!
this is real cinema, digital is only a big tv
@@taihao.multimedia whats so bad about analogue

They didn’t watch empire on vhs yet
Jedi ended what was then the “Trilogy” so perfectly. All loose ends all tied up and such.. and then came the sequel trilogy...ugh
get over it
