This song's lyrics surprised me a lot. It's very "musical vibe" and lyrics are full of metaphors it's amazing. Comparing this to disney zombies "Finally Me" or any other "kids targeted tv movie songs", there are a lot of films trying to send kids the message of "be yourself, you write your own story" but none of the songs came close to what this song did. Mostly because they all lack metaphors and lyrics are always on the nose telling audience directly just "be yourself" But this one was different. It tells you to be brave and it's not your fault that you turned out to be this way all you need to do is to have courage to change and write your own story. The lyrics even have a part where it says "There's no pre-written guarauntee of happily ever after" this lyric alone is pretty realistic for a disney movie but also the whole "once upon a time" thing keep the touch of "this is a fairy tale" "A fairy tale, that is real" The mixture of both unrealstic and realistic vibes really make this song a gold.

This is just like what they did with two songs from HSM 3 (Right Here, Right Now and Walk Away). They didn’t do the full versions in the movie and had the full ones for the soundtrack to the film. They also did this for one section in Ways to be Wicked with the phrase “Cruel and Unusual, we’re taking control. There’s so many ways to be wicked” etc. they left the phrase out of the movie and added it back in for the official soundtrack. So please stop bringing it up...
