Rotel celebrates its 60th anniversary in the HiFi business with its new Diamond Series products. These went through hundreds of hours of listening tests to design a sound truly worthy of their 60th celebration. We love the way they custom-made all the power transformers in-house and the DAC in the DT6000 is really something special with its 8 channels of fully balanced design. The powerful RA6000 with 325 watts into 4 ohms can drive almost any speaker with ease too!

Rotel's build quality has always impressed me. These units look beautiful!
We agree, thanks for watching
I've always admired Rotel, especially their Michi line. I'm quite excited for this Diamond series.
Us too! Thanks for watching.
I like that they included the additional digital inputs on the transport so it can be used as a stand alone DAC for other digital sources. Very cool!
Totally agree! Thanks for watching
Love seeing some trickle-down tech from their Michi line here. Great review!
Thanks very much! We appreciate it
Best overview of this amp and cd player/dac to be found anywhere on the web. TY!
Thank you!
Great review. I really like Rotel as a brand. They always sound very good and come in at a great price.
We totally agree! Thanks for sharing Marty!
Man, I love the look of these bad boys
Glad you like them, thanks for watching
Beautiful design! The input buttons looks stunning! Well done Rotel.👍🏼
Thank you very much!
A couple REALLY nice pieces added to the Rotel line-up!
Yes, thanks!
Rotel is stepping it up and nice to see.
Yes they are. Thanks for watching
W😳W! I need this CD player to match my RA-1572 MKII. Awesome early review. I’m sure it’ll find its way to my music room. Thanks so much!
Great idea, when you are ready to move up we will be here for you www.audioadvice.com/rotel-dt-6000-cd-transport-dac
They are on display in Raleigh now!
Great looking product. Can't wait to check them out. Thanks for the great review.
Thanks for watching!
Nice looking unit looks like it will rock
Yes, the amp has a lot of guts. Thanks for watching
I wish they made a All Analog integrated in this design. like a beefed up A10 in a diamond version and power.
Good idea, we will pass that on. Thanks for watching.
rotel should add an sacd player to their line along with an am/fm tuner.
We will pass that on, an am/fm tuner would be nice, they made some very good ones in the day. Thanks for watching
Great review, thank you. Really tempted to get the DT 6000 to get the better DAC for my Node. Just a shame it doesn’t have SACD and DVD Audio support as I have a few of these discs
Thank you, It is a great sounding stack.
Never owned any Rotel gear but I’ve always liked the looks of their products and this new design is just as stunning. Does the preamp come with a remote? I don’t believe I heard that mentioned for either but I know CD players usually come with a remote.
Yes, both have a remote. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice Thank you!
Actually, quite honest and informative for an Audio Dealer product review. These Rotel models would have looked far better with Yamaha style side panels. Otherwise quite a bargain with the features provide.
We are glad you liked it, thanks for sharing your opinions.
Looks very well made.
They are! Thanks for watching
Great Job with the review !
I am a huge fan of spinning the silver disk ! Its great to see Rotels CD player using 4 dacs pure channel Geez !!!
I want to video review it !!!!! And
Audio Advice is a easy reccomendation !
Thanks so much! We appreciate you sharing
Great review of super solid units. I’ve had the pleasure of listening and they sound great. Great bang for your buck too!!!
Good to hear! Thanks for sharing
It’ll take another 20 years for these to get to South Africa!😒 Right now we have nothing! Couldn’t even get the Emotiva XPA-Gen 3, Monolith 7X.
I like Rotel stuff but this line will be a hard sell. A $2,300 CD player should be SACD. Fit and finish do look slightly better than the regular line. I am sure there are some upgrades internally, but a $1,300 premium over the regular integrated... For me it will be regular Rotel or Michi.
That is what we thought at first until we listened to it. Thanks for sharing
Great stuff! I still enjoy the original Rotel 991AE CD player which was their last “high end” spinner. I also wish this new player could handle SACD. Better yet, with an 8 channel DAC under the hood, Rotel can release a multi-channel SACD player. There hasn’t been a multi-channel player in production for a while now and Rotel would have no competition.
What's the major differences between the ra6000 and the ra1592 mk2?
Great question. Michi Caps throughout.
Transformer and power supply is based off the Michi X3. Scaled to fit. The shield and metal enclosure is Michi.
Output devices are very similar to the RA-1592MKII. Some tweaking but very similar. Same as X3.
RA6000 has the RA-1592 MKII DAC with output filter circuits developed for the X3 Michi.
The preamp is different preamp circuits designed for the RA6000.
thank you very much for the review. I really like the Rotel RA 6000. I have Triangle Genèsse Lyrr speakers, they have 140Watt/8 Ohm. RA6000 has 200 Watts/ 8 Ohms. is this a good combination
It should work well with your speakers. Thanks for watching
Wish it had an HDMI Arc but gorgeous otherwise
Yes, that would have been nice, thanks for watching
Rotel looks like a neautiful system. I like what is inside.
Yes, it is very clean! Thanks for watching
WE would like more info on how well it sounds ..
We had limited time with it when we created this video, but have had more since. Customer feedback has been great and we feel is is like all Rotel products, very musical for the money
Nice review! Did your team compare using the external dac vs the built in one? Was there a noticeable difference? Also, how does this compare to the 1592 mkii as they have identical power output?
We did not have time to do that. But there is a pretty big difference in the raw parts costs of the DAC and the fully balanced design is really cool. Compared to the 1592MKII

Is there a way to update the software on the RA - 6000 via USB stick?
The software is updated over the internet.
Looks like Rotel trying to sell 6000
I had opportunity to test 6000 and 1592mk2 I can't justify price of 6000.
Now I am running three AB amplifiers Electrocompaniet AW600 mono blocks, 1592mk2 and 1572mk2.
For the money 1592mk2 is bang for buck!
The 1592 is a great integrated amp
It seems the hi-fi frenzy had gradually faded into oblivion in the last 20 years. How these hi-fi companies still survive is a miracle in itself. I mean how many copies can they really sell each year in order to keep them afloat?
It’s actually much bigger than it was 20 years ago. Just look at the stats on sales of vinyl records. Thanks for watching
The only thing holding me back from Rotel integrated is the lack of HDMI ARC and streaming
Thanks for sharing! We appreciate you watching and commenting
Rotel needs to update their whole line-up to look like more in line or at least close to the MICHI series, because all their amps, integrated, DACs etc all look horribly outdated. And they also need to put HDMI and dual independent sub outs, plus better remote controls.
To each his own. Many people love the classic look. Have you heard one? They do sound fantastic for their price.
@@AudioAdvice Yes, love the sound but I don't like the outdated design.
I think it's too bad that you could not have had these pieces for a longer time. I would be surprised if they were fully broken in.
They were not, the Rotel engineer with us thought they would sweeten up over time. Thanks for watching and commenting
As far as I'm aware the word 'learnings' is incorrect. So I looked it up and I quote 'It's an erroneous plural form of the colloquial term “learning.” It even sounds incorrect. So why use it when the word lessons is sufficient.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great looking
Thanks for sharing, we hope you enjoyed the video.
Looks great
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
no coax output?
Since so much expense was put into the great DAC, they felt no one would just buy it as a transport, which we agree with. Thanks for watching
Just give me VU meters on the regular Rotel and they will have my money.
Haha, yes, that would be nice! Thanks for watching
Those side heat sinks totally ruin the aesthetics IMHO.
We appreciate you watching and sharing, yes some will like them and some will not. They do look pretty cool in person.
I totally like them! I think they look cool.🤓👍🏼
For perspective, this has been the general Rotel aesthetic for their high end pieces since at least mid 90s.
My Rotel 6000 replaced a McIntosh 5300 and is much better
Interesting, what are your speakers?

@@rmeyer52 Great speaker, thanks for sharing. Your KEF's are probably happier with all that extra power.
