Just a thought here, but what if the Departed Realm is also where objects go when they destroyed, not just where people go when they die? As such, it would make sense that Chen would be able to regain his staff there.

4 stage doesn't exist or they just forgot to put 2 bricks on stages so you can't unlock it

You need to find 5 Gold bricks in every level, except there are only 4 in every level. Very strange.
