That people actually have to do these steps when getting a new phone and using all the same information is crazy. I have been on 7 different so called help sites for this issue and have followed the steps exactly and still when I sign into the games that were on my old phone, on the new one I still have to start over, this is freaking insane.
Yeah super confusing, just got this S22 that has no SD card anymore so asked to have this video updated. With Samsung, Google Play Games (I couldn't find where to toggle on Google Play Games cloud store anywhere on either old or new phones) and others having cloud store - I don't know who to use or how to transfer saved data.
Now I don't have to start all over again on plants vs zombies

Helium is dead and doesn't work. Just wasted a bunch of my time! Don't bother with helium folks, it's been abandoned by the developer for 2 years and I suspect it must only work on old versions of android.

Can you update this video? I could not find anywhere on my Samsung S9 old phone or S22 new phone, the Play Games Cloud Save toggle to turn on by your directions of Setting>Accounts>Sync(there is no Sync on either)>Google. Also, My Samsung S22 does not have an SD card, so does it just install the saved game data to the 128G internal storage on the phone?

Find the folder where the emulator is on your phone. Then the folder of the game which has the save file.
I believe called sram. All save files from roms can always be moved

Android phones cannot do backup without a computer unless the phone is already rooted. App developers are free to use Google cloud backup but that is opt-in feature and if developers do not do it, you'll not have backups without a computer.

Unfortunately it don't work for iphones in the video you need a sd cards that are only for android, so this game data transferring is only for android to android :-)

I chose internal storage and it said that the backup was made, but there's no backup on my SD, so I can't transfer my game progression. I want to transfer from a samsung a5 (2017) to a samsung s10e. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
You need EXTERNAL STORAGE, a SIM card to put the game on. Then pop out the card, insert into new phone, there you have it!

the video is bullshit. Follow my steps and get high chance of getting progress back.
1- Make sure the game supports Account Log-in (Google play games, facebook, Twitter, etc)
2- Sign in with the account that you are going to be using in your new phone.
3- Save the data in your account.
4- Download the app that you used which has the game data in it in your new phone.
5- Sign in in the app
6- Transfer the game using ShareIT or Xender or some other app. (make sure to share the OBB file aswell)
7- sign in with the account which has the data in the game in the new phone.
it will ask something like Continue from where you left off or Start new in some games
just click continue and boom. the video legitimately is bullshit and alot of work.
