  • Across the summer holidays that are a wealth of camps and outdoor activities for parents to choose for their kids.
With many looking at sporting activities to coax the children away from their electronic devices.
Travelling across the south east during the holidays is a team of Community Coaches from the Harlequins rugby union team.
Encouraging young people to better their knowledge of the game, whilst developing new skills, create new friendships and build confidence, both on and off the pitch.
We caught up with them in Portsmouth, where we learnt that it is not tackling being taught, but also respect.

I live 4 miles from “ The Solent “ in the village of Hordle in the new forest and have a good knowledge of the basics of receiving tv signals - in the analogue days we could watch C5 broadcasts from Fawley Tower and HTVs ‘ Sunday Soccer Show , “ The West Match “ plus news and current affairs west of Poole and Salisbury ( as Meridian do not ) ...but in spite of That’s Solent being beamed out from Rowridge Transmitting Station and our living ‘ up the slope ‘ from The Solent ( 4 miles ) , we Cannot Receive the station. You claim to serve “ South Hampshire, “ , “ The Solent Area “ , “ The Southampton Area “ - and Hordle is in SO41 - a District of Southampton. Your coverage is a Joke - if you fold through lack of viewers it won’t be a big surprise 😃Regards and Love from Hordle ( near The Solent )
