I drive this exact same car as my daily driver....94 Honda Civic Ej1 5 speed manual....I love my civic it's cherry red...repainted Factor Honda red with white 16x7 inch wheels with a 2000 watt Rockford fosgate system....I feel like a million dollars in my car
We bought a Honda Civic LX 4 door new in May of 1999 for $15k. Same white color exterior wthe the gray interior materials. Drove it daily up to 257k miles before selling to a young person in 2017. They were overjoyed to get a one owner Civic, garage kept, all oem parts and service recorda. It was the longest owned and best overall vehicle we have had. Still have all the pictures inside and out prior to selling. Lots of good memories. Never a single breakdown.
@@tobinschroeder1877 - Well shucks! At least you know who to talk to when it finally is for sale! 😂🤣 Out of curiosity, how many miles do you have on yours?
@@tobinschroeder1877 - Ooh wee! That’s getting up there! Good for you for hanging onto it for so long! I’d love to pick one of these up as a fun little summer commuter. There’s a stick shift sedan for sale nearby with ~120k that I’m thinking of buying. Just worried about it getting stolen more than anything else (assuming I do buy it). It’s amazingly stock and clean, but we’ll see what happens.
Still have mine 360k rebuilt head and trans just did the rack never getting rid of it love it tbh my first car was the dx model I was lucky enough to find a ex model here in LA but overall I love it
I had this car in the 2000s and loved it, I cried when I drove it the last time before my parents sold it. It wasn’t as nice as this one, but I loved driving that car.
Had the same Civic but was a EX-A automatic. A denoted ABS four wheel disc brakes. I added a OEM rear spoiler, and fog lights the switch went into the blank to the left of the defrost button. In the automatic it had a pretty cool cup holder that this one doesnt have just in front of the shifter it was hidden. You press a panel and it would pop open. Like a butterfly to hold cups. It adequate but the wings popped out if you put a heavy mug. I Loved that car. Still regret selling it,
Keep the dream alive brother, it will happen! I wanted one my whole life, now I’m the proud owner! Except mine is Honda red and just turned 100,000 miles. Now I want Type-R Integra and an EM1 SI as well ;)
I had 3 of these in the past and wanted to make this my fourth. Probably would have continued bidding had I not found a Wrx(from original owner) the final day of the auction.
I regret selling my clean, unmodified, running almost perfectly, no rust, nice body and paint 96 civic ex in 2017 for $1300 more and more as time goes on. UA-cam completely panned me in the video i made about selling the car at the time, saying I asked for too much, and should have taken a $300 carmax offer. I think it may be worth 2-3 times as much now.
Used to daily a stock camellia ej1 til about a month ago when it got stolen. Wouldn't be surprised if its still driving only thing that kills these is rust and heavier cars
What a surprise! Nice video. Are you in the States? I am a native Japanese living in Japan. We used to be able to buy the same Civic coupe but the interesting thing was that those were I think made in the US. From the end of the '80 I think Honda began to import some American made models like Accord wagon and coupe, or Gold Wing motorbike. Which means we could buy left side driver's seat models in Japan.
@@OttoEx I really love these cars... Mine is also from 94 and I have it for 21 years now... Have a modern car for daily use and a few other cars over the years but these hondas continue to be my favourite... Loved your car!... Best wishes from Portugal ✊❤
I have a 95 EJ1 , Been modified with a other engine, and have been trying to make it as OEM as possible. Problem is parts are rare. Never though I'd struggle to get small things for example a mud guard. 💯
This is currently up for sale as a 7 Day No Reserve auction on Cars & Bids: carsandbids.com/auctions/3RqOxydp/1994-honda-civic-ex-coupe
$7K!?? That was cheap for what it was.. i expected around 12K minimum for only 117K miles.. and everything Original.
90's was the golden age of motorisation. If I were you, I'd keep it ;)

I am watching now while sitting in my 1993 civic coupe but ironically inside the interior is gutted so it means it's raced out 🏎
