That hidden zip is made for a liner. It wasn’t intended to be fastened like that. Good find though!

I was so set on getting a 14 for my beadnell then I dropped to the barbour store in London (Covent garden area) and... the selelrs adviced me to go for bigger. I am a tall girl and 14/L is perfect but I guess there are right. If you want to wear your barbour all season bigger is perfect. I bought a fjallaraven polar coat years ago in size S. It was perfect until I actually came to live in Sweden where I realized that I should have sticked to a roomier size such as M or even L. So my advice go to the store and explain what you want from your barbour. It is key as it is pricey and lasting piece. The beadnell is a great piece but if you plan to layers to use it in winter (similar to UK) I was suggested to take a size up as to not looking like a sausage. I got it in 16 and check with the layering and... indeed it remains fabulous ;) so check before getting this great piece!
You missed the two way zip great for riding a bike or mounting a horse . You also missed the option to attach a hood. U also missed that u can zip in a liner for winter. and didn't mention that its water proof

Great 10 points!!! Beadnell are the women version of the men Bedale jacket. They are both fantastic jacket.
The bluebells behind her remind me of Lickey Hills Country Park .

I must say, #3 is incorrect - that inner set of zippers is meant for a zip-in liner, which Barbour sells specifically for these jackets. The zippers are not meant to be zipped together, nor do they pull the jacket closer to your body. Just wanted to let people know that they have a much more practical purpose.
Could also be a double function? Also this is the ladies model and not the males? Have you tried it on your Bedale? I have one and I received the liner vest today, just zipped it up and Stored it ready for next winter as it's getting hot here in NYC.
