AirPods Max really need a new chip and USB C at the very least. Wish they figured out how to stream via airplay instead of bluetooth on those to allow higher fidelity audio playback. But from what ive read it's still too energy intensive.
Visually I’ve always loved how the AirPods Max look. Features, not so much. Very dated compared to the AirPods Pro but I would purchase a pair if they didn’t cost as much and if they updated the features like usb-c water/sweat/dust resistant and included something like the h2 or even put a h3 chip inside just to make them a little more future proof
I love the design of the og AirPods. I think if they copied the 3’s design, but made them a little bit smaller, I’d be sold. Cause the threes don’t perfectly fit in my ears, and the 2nd gen are much more comfortable for sleeping
I currently have a pair of Master & Dynamic MW09s. The only thing that could get me to switch to AirPods is if they bump the battery life so they last a full night, as I wear them for sleep.

I used to have the in-ear wf-1000xm4’s and still have them somewhere but Sony had to replace the earbuds themselves through warranty about 5 times within two years because the batteries kept shitting themselves and wouldn’t hold a charge or even charge, the cases also act up with the static in my pockets and auto connect to my phone when it isn’t even open..

Towards the end of my gen 1s after maybe two years, only one really worked, so I might be a little biased about differentiating between the two. All around sound quality and noise cancellation is way better though, but still not as good as Sony. Gen 1s also randomly killed themselves when not in use, where my Gen 2s rarely do that. There seems to be a more snug fit in the case, and a better fit in the ears with the additional ear cup sizing. I’ve never had the in ears for Sony, but I do remember that switching over to a newer phone was a nightmare because I couldn’t figure out how to unpair before eventually leading to a full factory reset. The qualm I do have is using the microphone. It never seems to work, so I just use them mostly for work, music, watching movies, or gaming
Tech companies keep competing blindly by updating or upgrading their products yearly and each year trying to convince consumers to buy the new product as if it is better. However it is a stupid strategy because they will not be able to keep up with it and consumers will be tired and finally they will give up. I think an after 2 or 3 years upgrade will be ok and will give consumers time to enjoy the gadget and looking forward to the next one. Yearly firmware and features updates instead are welcome and will provide enjoyable experience
I just wish that they would take the AirPods or the AirPod pros and make them waterproof. Every other company has it that you can bring your earbuds into the swimming pool. I just wish they would go waterproof. Is there any word on that yet or do I still have to wait?😂😂

apple won’t drop the stem design, it’s just too good and too iconic, the bean form is often easier to fall out of ear and touch controls are worse cause they activate when you try to push it into your ear
I hate the stem, they really could provide a version without it for other types of people. Instead the have Beats buds, which don't have as good tracking feature while being owned by the same company...

@@sheresik i don’t know which beats have findmy, but 100% there are some, the new beats pill has it. i get it, whatever you like, i like that the touch controls are on the stems, my previous earbuds in bean shape always thought i wanted to pause when i was just pushing them into my ear when they were falling out. also i don’t mind it sticking out, the weight distribution works better for me and it’s the same as having cables going out of your ears.. except without the cables XD

I just got the Bose QC Ultra and I'm debating whether I return them and wait for the APM2... decisions 😭 I currently own the Bose QC Ultra and the B&W Px8 McLaren Edition. I have owned the XM5 (headphones and earbuds), the APMS in space grey and in green), the XM3/4, the Skullcandy Crusher Evo, and practically almost all of the AirPods generations there are. I have also tried Nothing earbuds as well.
If the update to AirPods Max was USB-C only, I don't see why they wouldn't have just released it last year along with the AirPods Pro 2 USB-C refresh. I think the rumors are wrong. I can't see any world where Apple releases their most premium pair of headphones without an H2 chip. It's a major selling point for the AirPods Pro 2, especially with Adaptive Transparency which is an incredible feature. It would be extremely unlike Apple to use a 4 year old chip in their most premium model of anything. Major disappointment if the rumors are true.
I think they will since airpods pro 2 already support lossless with vision pro. So clearly the H2 chip is capable of processing lossless audio. Maybe they'll only enable it with wired connection, which is understandable and fine by me.

I bought a pair of Airpods pro 2 with USBC because I wanted to see if I could get use to the ear tips, but they gave me an ear ake after I was wearing them for like 2 or 3 hours at a time with the medium ear tips, so I ended returning them after 4 days. I didn’t try a smaller size ear tip, so I don’t know if its just the medium size thats the problem or if ear tips just don’t work with my ears. I hope the airpods 4s with speaker case don’t come with silicone ear tips because I really like the case on the Airpods pro 2s and it would be nice to have it on a pair of airpods with out the ear tips even if the ANC isn’t that goods like on the galaxy buds live.
Agreed. It would be unlike Apple to use an outdated chip on a premium model of anything. It makes no sense. There will definitely be a bigger update. I could see: H2 chip, weight reduction, water/sweat resistance, and USB-C.

Honestly, all I want changed on the AirPods Max is the h1 chip to h2 and Spatial Audio and the transparency and noice cancellation.

The AirPod pro, you can charge them with the Apple Watch pro charger. Not sure about other chargers . I am charging them like that.
