Quiche Recipe:
Crust: makes 2 pie crusts
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
5 T. water
1 T. vinegar
Mix everything together. Divide into two balls, place between wax paper sheets and roll out. Place in pie dishes, crimp edges, prick bottom with fork.
Filling:
10 eggs
1 c. Cheddar
1 c. Cottage cheese
1/2 c. Cream

I just went through the transition of becoming a first time mom and the postpartum experience is not some thing I could ever have prepared for, and I so agree with the need to be gentle with yourself and accept those hormone mountains and valleys

I use salsa in my egg dishes. I drain the extra liquid before adding to the egg mixture. Salsa adds so much flavor and it doesn't matter if you have tomatoes in the house.

Fertility Awareness Method is such an empowering thing to learn!! Why pump our bodies with unnecessary hormones with so many negative side effects when we can just learn what our bodies are telling us and work WITH our bodies rather than against.

Because some people want to ensure they don't get pregnant and the fertility awareness method is not as effective when you take in human error and the human body NOT being a perfect clock. Also, they have positive side effects as well. That's why they're prescribed for different health conditions. The human body is not some perfect functioning machine. If life hasn't taught you that yet, you will learn in time.
Just wait until you hit perimenopause in your 40s. It sneaks up on you and you have no idea who you are and why you're thinking/acting the way you are. It can be very scary, especially when the doctors dismiss the idea of menopause because you're "too young." So, you end up thinking you have some terrible disease, which increases the anxiety. It all snowballs from there. Sooooo....here's your heads-up on all that. Prepare now. 😀

You use vinegar in your pie crust! That’s how we do it, too. I’ve never known of anyone else who makes them this way. Now, on to the rest of your video - hope you all are doing well!

I'm sorry about all the sick kids delaying a party. I love getting pedicures, but I have only had about 4 or 5 in my whole forty years (the last one I got when about 35 weeks pregnant with my now 9 month old baby). What did you think of it?

Fun video to watch! Love that you got yourself a couple of new outfits after wearing the same ones day after day. Love that you have a friend group that supports each other for these special occasions. Love that you and Evonnie have girls days out. So many blessings. Great advice at the end for new moms. You are a worrier for sure, but it is hard not to worry when you realize that things can go wrong in childbirth. STILL, I hope you make a New Year's resolution at some point to tackle anxiety. So many of us have it for so many different reasons but it really at its core is a lack of trust in God. EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Did you know that a mystic saint Mary of Agreda, said that Mary did not know why Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem after the Passover when he was 12 and why she had to go through those three days in sadness because God was letting her gain MERIT by the virtue she displayed during her ordeal as she and Joseph searched! Who knew??? I keep telling myself, "Worry is useless. Prayer is what is needed." (Jesus). Then let it go and take a deep breath. It helps to realize so many who have near death experiences tell us, "If we only understood how completely we are surrounded by LOVE!!!". (Reminding myself of this too.) Hope number four fills your heart with love and you see God in all the little ups and downs of life. God Bless!!! P.S. It seems that you still make so many things. Have fabric prices stayed pretty consistent where you are? I am finding it is actually less expensive to buy clothes than to make them around here. A yard of fabric is often 7 to 14 dollars a yard. I do shop at an online fabric store that has some good prices sometimes or check out the sales at fabric stores, but it is getting pricier around here.

The WHITE LIDS are amazing! And it does matter. There is actually a course (taught in a university) about personality and what makes people motivated/happy, etc. Some had zero interest in their surroundings and to others (me) it was everything. The class had a HUGE notebook and was designed by some psychiatrists or psychologists. I can't remember the name of the class but the point was to teach US going into that field (I was going into social work) how to maintain yourself and what to stay on top off in order to have mental peace and clarity. The class and that notebook were kind of like a guide to my life so YES, the WHITE LIDS MATTER. Not to everyone, but to those who are 1 of (I think it was 7 types) of humans. We also did the INTJ portion (personality test). It is very helpful for couples, co-workers, and even kids so we can understand how to better communicate and keep that love bucket filled so to speak.

Any man has access to condoms, why do I never hear women talk about that option. We are way beyond cycle tracking for prevention of pregnancy. I was using it when I was going to Catholic Church and I have two rhythm method children, and I have never known it to work on women whose periods are not perfectly cycled, and have no illnesses or other meds that must be taken.
Perhaps because condoms are irritating to some women?? 🙄 They’re definitely second rate. I track my cycles and no, I’m NOT regular. A diaphragm works better for both of us all around. This method has worked for 14 years now and I’ve had no surprise pregnancies, only planned ones.
U probably weren't doing it right. If done right, cycle tracking is 99% effective.
