you forgot one new animation, the aks74u got its animation reworked, it's still the same animation but the player characters doesn't tilt the gun in a weird position while reloading now, and the part where the charging handle is pulled has been fully remade now.
I like these animations. Simple but effective and consistent. Good job DICE. But am I the only one who thinks he’s holding the Scorpion Evo a little too close to the barrel?
Honestly the simplicity of these animations are great, though I'm a little concerned about the way the CZ Scorpion Evo is being held. 😅 Weapon models are once again topnotch. Also the AKS-74u got reanimated: it now does underhand reloading and is much better than what we got since launch.
The AK5 reload is the most accurate reload to real life I've seen in AAA shooters, and it all comes down to one tiny detail many of you missed that EVERY reload animation featuring a gun using PMAGs and STANAG mags should have if the animation is going to look like this.
@@Flashy47 We're not thinking of the same detail. That detail is a tap on the ass of the mag on a tactical reload rather than the empty one. Unless you stiffly shove the mag in by the bottom, you are more than likely going to need to tap it. On empty reloads, you don't need this at all.
2042 devs really love using weaver rails instead of picatinny rails don't they? I mean it kinda fits with most of the weapons despite it being older than the picatinny rails.
They're not weaver rails, they're supposed to be powered picatinny rails for optics that don't have their own batteries, and receive electricity from the gun itself. You can see the copper/gold conductive contacts.

@@FMBY123 Warzone also has the Private Match option, just go to the bottom of the mode list within WZ and it'll be there, you can't get into a match as there are no bots, but you can go to the Firing Range and test it there, I've done it before.
I don't understand, why are the guns so wet??? It's not even just some water sprinkles, they look like you dipped them in water, pulled them out and somehow kept the water permanently stick to the gun, it's painful to look at!
@@JagsP95 that makes sense, but the character moves the gun so much yet the water stays unmoving, they could've at least make the water disappear after doing an action while inside a building, it'd be a bit less jarring
On one side this is just a typical case of recycling content from older games. On the other side, I honestly think bringing old firearms to futuristic battlefields isn't really that far-fetched. We saw lots of old antiquities make their way to Ukrainian and Russian hands in 2022 to present, from the PTRS rifle, to the PPS-43, even the Mosin-Nagant M1891, or the old school AK-74, that work alongside FPV drones and kamikaze drones

I love how the new animations for BF2042 started out as insanely clunky, incomplete, and clearly made by an inexperienced animator that must’ve been forced into the job. But over time, they’ve gained their own style and rhythm and now the animations are much easier to watch.
Not bad, animation wise. Also sounds like they fixed the rather bland and lackluster sound design Prattlespiel 2042 launched with. Or, at least, they brought in new weapons with _much_ better sound design and implementation.
Recoil animation should've looked like this from the beginning, I don't understand why they did it 2 years after release, people have been used to its old airsoft gun-like recoil animation for a long time, and changing that this late made it annoying for people who play the game since day 1
Reloads are fine, what bugs me is the new recoil animation they introduced. It might look ok in the video, but it feels awful in the actual gameplay as if the character has Parkinson's.
Call of Duty did **not** invent the C-clamp style. It's a common gripping tactic used in actual shooting. 2042 also had a C-clamp on the AK-12 (AK-24) before launch, if I may add.
They named the AK 5, AK 5, yet they couldn't name the Scorpion Evo3, no they had to use some fictionary names again..... I can get games nowdays why can't they use the IRL name anymore.

Like many soviet small arms the AK is coming from Automatic rifle made by Kalasnikov. Again it's not a brand or company, but a designation. Right but from animation and style standpoint it feels super floaty, you see it might visually be similar to that irl but the thing is that irl when you wield the gun and click the button (bolt catch) you are obviously gonna feel the physical force of that bolt going forward, slamming the barrel and so since you can't have an actual feeling of physical force in game since all you have are visuals and sounds, what a good animator in this case is going to do is to make the bolt catch a bit exaggerated and punchy in order to compensate for the lack of actual physical force. That's basically philosophy behind MW animations (animations that are widely considered as best animations ever in the FPS industry)@@fuzzo4475

This was also present in MOH Warfighter as well. That game featured many PMAG/STANAG mag taps when doing tactical reloads too!

because the animations for other weapons were rushed (as with everything else in the game) while here at least it seems they put in some effort

You can create a Private Match and try it out there, that's what I did, and while it's like, *Super Cursed* to watch, it's pretty fun to use.
