solid. i too respect the pizza method. there is no set in stone pizza or pedal order. solid tips.
one id pass along on pedal order and wiring combos. take pictures of setups before you reroute or make major changes so you can go back if you decide you like how you had it previous. crazy things can change your overall tone when you have a long chain. some pedals may gate each other or do something truly unique in front or behind another and youll have a roadmap to get it back.

I hope that I might get a recommendation here. My Main Pedal Board does everything I want it to, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, Punk, Psychobilly, Rockabilly, Americana, Post Punk, Oi, Ska. I do have my Danelectro Dan Echoes where they are because I do love a Slapback Echo going into a Space Echo (a sound that I have on my OG Pedal Board going back in the day).
My Main Pedal Board is a Gator Extra Large board with 12 pedals on it. I have two Gator Bricks with 13 spots as well as two pedals running off of wallwarts underneath (milliamps were not enough on the bricks).

Right now the current order is:
Boss TU-3 into
Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini into
Rat 2 (AAM) into
EHX Big Muff NYC (AAM) into
Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus (18 volt) into
Danelectro Dan Echo (AAM) (slapback setting) into
Danelectro Dan Echo (AAM) (Space Echo setting) into
EHX Oceans 11 (shimmer setting) into
Source Audio Tru Audio (Surf) into
OE Kafka (Dark Reverb) into

This is running into a Roland JC 120 amp. I have all my effects in front of the amp.
The question I have is if I were to move one of the Reverbs after the tuner but before the Tubescreamer, which one should it be?
Please keep in mind I am not a huge Reverse Reverb kind of guy and what Reverb would sound good ahead of my Dirt pedals?
(If you want a HUGE sound, using a Tubescreamer pushing the Rat or the Big Muff can give you a very thick and Boutique sounding dirty sound. I got this idea from Doom Metal.)😉👍✨
Thanks for the video. My issue is that if I'm using a stereo reverb into a distortion - the stereo goodness is gone. But I use a chorus effect to live it up.
that's why we designed dreamgazer to be the way it is. we'll have some stereo pedals soon, but having a reverb specifically designed for front of chain shoegaze use is amazing! it also has built in modulation for spatiality! :)
I think it really depends what ur doing. I think reverb can cause your gain pedals to lose their bite so I haven't been having reverb on all the time anymore, I really like sustain and using reverse for usually lead parts

Love your reverb, but I think maybe multi-pedals are worth your time if you look for good ones. I've been loving the Walrus Kangra which combines fuzz and an envelope filter, and there was a time a couple years ago when it seemed like every boutique pedal builder was putting a distortion into all of their other pedals just because they could. You do you, just saying they've gotten a lot better
i was thinking more the big box units, that's what i mean when i say multi effects. i've tried cheap right through to the expensive ones & nothing has ever done it for me. a lot of these units can be really nasty sounding & not in a good way! i've never found a good distortion in a multi effects pedal & the time-based & modulation effects always sound way too thin compared to individual units. as i said in the video i believe everyone should do what suits their style! i just like to help out where i can to save people trouble & money!!

My board has fuzz on both sides of my reverb so I can have both worlds
the perfect way is to double track both a signal with reverb first AND a signal with reverb last
so many ways to do things, that's the beauty of it!

Hi! Can i ask abt fx loop? I've always wanted to know if shoegazers use fx loop(send/return) or not... I know many professional musicians use 4cm method for a good sound as it known as but can't find if shoegazers use that too! 😂And I'm also curious about the pedal parallel connection method in terms of shoegazing sound. where should add a delay to this kind off setup - before, in-between, after?
i recommend experimenting, delay placement can drastically alter things. to start, try with a delay last in chain. experiment to taste!
Do you use the effects loop of your amps?
Also do you use any type of noise suppressor pedal? (BOSS NS-2)
no, not really. i'm a pragmatist so the sound difference isn't really enough for me to do things that way.
never used a noise suppressor, i embrace the noise! maybe if i had a pedalboard of 20-30 pedals, but again pragmatism, less is more!
