Raymond Burr was a very handsome man in his youth.....
For the uploaded of the video if you are confused about all the "Stan Looona" in the comments, LOONA is a K-Pop girl group coming back February 5th, and they released a new teaser called "For all LOONAs around the world" (2 teasers are called like that and it is the second). In the teaser we can hear what the character says at 33:05 but reversed, "has been known to attack humans also" and "but I’m sure it will".
nobody cares about them
Really good for a Grade B 50's horror film ! Good script. Raymond Burr is great !
Loona really loves taking audio from old American media, doesn't it?
Raymond Burr's Larry Talbot-In-The-Amazon portrayal was hauntingly fatalistic and very moving. He was fortunate to have had two distinguished pros of horror and Film Noir to influence him here, the great director Curt Siodmak and Larry Talbot himself (Lon Chaney, Jr.) as the police chief, and it paid off very well. 👏👏
Hi Barry 🍕well said 🍕
I just realized Raymond burr had such big expressive eyes, good acting too, pretty good movie, much better than what the title might suggest, lon Chaney Jr in a different role, overall an interesting movie.
I love Raymond Burr. I still watch the Perry Mason reruns five times a day, at 4pm, 5pm, 8pm, 9pm and 11:30pm.
Why?
@@kingrat2465 You have no point.
Wow, lucky you, I love Perry Mason!
Good Lord!! I think Perry Mason is on here twice a day. I watch it at 11:30 PM.
@@kingrat2465 why not? Great show.
Hi, Orbits
OH HI THERE
YASSS
Hi!
hi high
Raymond Burr was so incredibly handsome!
and so incredibly gay!!
Thank you for uploading. I like the hard lighting in a dark contrast that lights up characters faces from the side to create the creepy gothic look on their faces. The plot is set in the modern period using large nature and gothic elements to provide a sense of grand scale through objects such as candelabras and siliuetes of leaves, flowers, iron window railings etc. Magic and wisdom balance the scale of the antagonists goals of misleading the innocent protagonist.
If you want to see Burr in a great film, check out "Pitfall" with Dick Powell and Lizbeth Scott. He plays a an ex cop private detective. Great film. Raymond has a great role in it! You will love it!
No I wont. I cant stand that actress. Like listening to and watching a guy.
Also he’s a great villain in The Blue Gardenia - definitely not a B movie, highly recommend.
I saw that just last week, now I 'm watching Burr and Lisabeth Scott movies.
@@pixels2u Saw That Top notch stuff. Loved it.
@@courtneysands6646 She was in a lot of great stuff.
33:05 "To all LOOΠΔs around the world"
This is the greatest movie I have ever seen. Was Raymond Burr nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor, was Lon Chaney Jr. nominated for best supporting actor?
*So, no-one knows what is on the back of the moon.*
"Has been known to attack humans"... both the gorilla and Loona :)...
For LOONA all around the world
Silly title, but a solid scary tragedy. A surprise, Raymond Burr was so sexy fine. And handsome Woody Strode was a leader. Loved it
Its bad reputation is based solely on the title.
orbits, where we at?

orbit culture is looking up hyper specific media that no one remembers
Wanted to watch this as I like Raymond Burr and this appeared to a very different role for him, however couldn't hear as volume much too low!!!!
He's the king of the swingers a Jungle V.I.P.
he is
🦧 😉
I never cared for Raymond Burr, instinctively despising lawyers, and rightly so, but, I've come to really enjoy his talent after seeing his varied film career pre Perry Mason. A truly fine actor.
He was in REAR WINDY, AND A PLACE IN THE SUN
What a fantastic picture. Thank you for this upload. The acting and dialogue were everything you could want in a steamy horror melodrama. The framing and cinematography is crisp and perfect. Great shots of animals and the jungle.
did people just not know what gorillas look like until the 1960s or something?
Stan Loona
Seriously, which Orbit found this.. And how did they even find this?!
You know If intelligent life came to Earth, observed for a while, they'd shake their heads and then leave.
Loona
I really like Lon Cheney in this type of role. Different for him.
Like him in whatever he’s in. Check him out in Of Mice and Men once. I like that later version a lil better tho for some reason, but the original is excellent too. I noticed I’d responded to y’before saying I wish he’d do other roles besides monsters. I since deleted it, as apparently since writing that at that time saw more movies w/ him in em that he was not a monster in, lol!!
Raymond Burr was so much more than a great actor --humble Canadian and gay man who bought an island to save its people.
Used the profits from 2 wineries he bought to continue to support their independence --All done with a quiet dignity few achieve and fewer still appear to strive for.
I did not know any of this about him. Thank you for sharing that.
Raymond Burr was a perjurious wierdo. He sworn he had a wife and son. My cousin worked with him on Perry Mason.
@@kingrat2465 Really so now we have an expert on how terrifying it was to be famous and gay in the 50's? ...Explain the low-keyed purchase of an island full of people facing eviction and probable starvation...?
He bought that island and many (many) contacts and friends helped him over the following decades to ensure these islanders were safe and secure--even to the point of transferring title to said villagers ---in his will...I don't give a pig's foot about gossip ---what matters to me is what a person 'does' ---his actual acts ---good and bad....More good than bad..as far as he's concerned.....
.Burr even went out on 'dates' to divert questions as to why he was so 'low-keyed' while maintaining a 'movie - acting ' persona .....
Now if you want to talk about a toxic but famous gay man, then Rock Hudson is your 'slob'. He refused to tell any of his 'partners' that he was HIV and infected one with Aids......according to the 'press'...Enough said...By the by, Doris Day was not the 'girl-next-door' as her image cemented over a very long career....which may have explained 4 violent marriages....? Remember, the non-famous feel a real need to say things that make them 'stand out' among the rest of us...?
@@margsview What does it have to do with what KING RAT said? But It's true Doris Day was not the girl next.
Absolutely ludicrous but good characterizations especially by the jungle 🙈🙉🙊
This is a wonderful movie. Reminds me of the genius of Val Lewton...
so what soty

Sweet film!! Look out here comes Ironside!! Lake Wateree South Carolina was here
Well that was a different one!! Interesting!
I always liked Lon Chaney, Jr. but was miscast in this film. Barbara Payton reminds me of Virginia Mayo. I think. Raymond Burr was a long way from Perry Mason in this film. Always enjoyed him in that role.
The best acting is in Perry Mason and Ironside.
Yeah that woman constantly was reminding me of Virginia Mayo as well.
Dal segno 2.0
Thanks for the good run of sci-fi, thriller, horror lately!
Look how long she can go without blinking. 44:09 (Just for giggles. I love this movie.)
Stan loona
looks like Orbits are gathering here for a while lmao 🙋😂 btw what's the timestamp?
Raymond Burr and gorillas. He also stars in the film GORILLA AT LARGE where a gorilla is framed for someone else's crimes!
If you liked this one, try also 'TROG'!!!
The jungle... Sounds like music.
Great movie but I can honestly say I've never seen this movie before with Lon Chaney Junior in it... Lon Cheney should have been the ape man not the other guy but I guess Lon Chaney Jr just got sick of being always the monster
thanks I enjoyed this movie
Awesome
Any here from loonatheworld? 🙋♀️
❤🔥❤🔥Raymond Burr❤🔥❤🔥
LOONA?!?
This movie has been the most exciting movie sent King Kong( LOL ). It was fun seeing "Aka "Perry Mason in some thing other than a lawyer.
Even though he did showed he knew some law in a scenario with the lawyer.🤔I didn't know he played movie rolls before TV. 🤷🏾♀️🎥🎬👏🏾🤗🙋🏽
Many many good movies, especially rear window
@@manijehsasi3664 ahh! I never liked that movie and I never liked his part in it.
Did they made up the sookera or is it a real jungle myth?????
who’s here because of loona
the moon does not shine by itself
Reminds me of Twilight Zone. Couldn't help but laugh.
The title was just what I wanted to see. What I got was an intense lust melodrama in classic low budget B style. Thanks!
Barbara Payton and Raymond Burr? 👍
Raymond Burr one of filmlands better actos. Seldom fully recognized for his full range of talent. Sadly his secret personal life had to remain in the closet. Truth be told he and his male partner were happy together for many, many years. Today his life & career would be flurishing as it always should have. Mr. Burr thanks for making a better path for gays today. We still have a few famous hold outs, hopefully they will see the light once they realize most of their fans & the public know & don't care.
Raymond wasn't fudge packer
Great actors.
how’d yall find this
Elan is spooky.

The Call of the Wild?
A total rip of The Wolfman, also directed by Siodmak. Only this lacks pathos. Thematically the story has real potential, as Burr abnegates his moral responsibility upon his return to the jungle. But this is never realised, although the curse appears to be anything but that for Burr's character until the final comeuppance. The final line about the jungle serving up punishment is utter rot. Nature has no moral imperative. Good to see though.
Teach her to marry a guy named Bunny.
Hey the butler did it
No this is the 3’d time in a row.
I’m not a yo yo
Yes I used to be but no longer
No more pain
Didn't know boa constrictors were venomous.
Well, in the movies they are. And most snakes in movies rattle. And almost every dangerous spider is a tarantula. Even these days. It's so common, I wonder how many people know the truth.
What boa? The snake that bit, poisoned, and killed the guy didn't look like a boa to me. It was too small.

Barbara Payton from "Kiss tomorrow goodby" with James Cagney. After working with Cagney, this must have been quite a letdown for her! Pretty lame b movie. All done quite poorly on an obvious Hollywood back lot set. The only thing missing is the 3 stooges or Abbot and Costello edited in to make a filler Saturday double feature. Burr should thank his lucky stars he finally stumbled across "Perry Mason" after this one. You can almost hear the studio execs groaning as they previewed it...if they even bothered. I know i did! Thank you PizzaFlix for such a broad and varied choice of movies. I enjoy them all!
Kiss tomorrow goodbye is one of my personal favorites. She was stellar in it. It's fascinating seeing the careers of actors and actresses by the films they starred in as the years passed. Great performers taking lesser parts due to Hollywood's fickle tastes and, of course, age.
He should have stuck to Perry Mason, this thing sucks.
It's true it sucks, Lon Cheney jr & Raymond Burr pulled it through & made it somewhat passable.
