It's a brutal sport, but Tom Brady usually always has a good enough blocking line that he doesn't get sacked or tackled as much as other quarterbacks. He doesn't take a lot of hits which definitely contributes to his longevity.

LeBron jumped higher and was faster than Giannis. Also maintained that explosion while being, at his peak, 20-30 pounds heavier than Giannis. Both freaks but I think LeBron was the most unique athlete I’ve ever seen and for what it’s worth he was much more skilled than Giannis as well. Giannis is several inches taller with a longer wingspan and plays down low a lot more though, they don’t really have similar styles

It’s ridiculous how long players can last in sports nowadays. Obviously it matters what you sport you play and your position in that sport but some of the stuff being done is ridiculous. For Ronaldo to still be in great shape and play at an elite level, for LeBron to play around 60 games in the regular season averaging 30 and being able to play over 40 minutes a game, Tom Brady at pretty much 45, to still be a top 3 player in his position without question is incredible.
And it’s slowly becoming the norm in these great players. Messi is still producing at a high level but Lewa and Benzema who are around the same age as Messi are not only the best players in the world at age 33 and 34 but are having their best seasons. Djokovic to dominate the sport at the age of 35 with arguably having some of his best seasons right now, Durant and Curry still being the best players at their positions at the ages of 33 and 34 with no looks of slowing down, Aaron Rodgers winning back to back MVPs at the ages between 37 and 38, Deontay Wilder executing at the highest level at the age of 35-36 now. It’s mental.
tbf tho nba players fall off the quickest depending on how much they use their athleticism. could make an argument for football players as well depending on their position and how many hits they take
