Sick!! Why do you have 2 404s? I think using to 404 will open up so much creativity!!

Thank you. ya, its a very versatile machine in any case scenario, not only for making beats and sampling, you can get pretty creative if you have a bunch of synths, guitars, and instruments. Its nice to have a dedicated machine for beats, and one for whatever in studio as backup. So in any case having 2 in the studio gets its fair use.....
but the real main reason for me is simply to perform longer live sets. My last gig was +2hrs live. and my next booked gig is 2hrs live also. transitioning beat to beat with separate FX for each, makes all the difference, especially for long sets and when loading projects feels like an eternity on stage. Also makes soundchecking smoother instead of loading projects so many times. But really, ive been performing and toured with 2 404's or MPC combo for many years since the SP404sx days, so its really integrated as part of my live setup. Cheers.

      thank you!
Im using the 404 compressor slightly on the master bus, blending the samples and 808 basses a little tighter. 😉 hope that helps!! I appreciate you tuning in! 🙏🔥

yo, thanks for tuning in! 🙏
to answer your question in short, its for live shows. Kinda same reason why DJ's need 2 turntables, if that makes sense 😉its also nothing new for people to perform live with an SP + MPC combo, i just prefer the 404 as my weapon of choice.
      Cheers!

@Atamone im a long time performer so im very aware bro haha, just seems wild to me to buy 2 mk2s why not one sx or 303, but every set up is unique, each to their own, i was really just making a joke 😅

@@halfpint90 Nice! yeye so you understand :)
Ive been performing, toured (and even done street performances in the earlier days) with double 404 sx combo for many years as well. I do own MPC 1k and MPC Live actually, and have tried to perform live with those many times, but still prefer the simplicity of the 404 workflow, especially on stage or live at an event.. feels intuitive for me, and that's really important.
But since the MK2, its honestly worth more than every penny for me, and its not that much honestly considering...
My last gig was +2hrs (w/ improv sax player and guest singer), my SX was not cutting it for what im really trying to do at this point, a 2nd MK2 fills in the gap in many ways, for me.
But I would still love to get my hands on a 303 of course one of these days!
      Cheers again! 🙌

@Atamone for sure the extra power in the mk2 is super handy!
